A Nice Thing
Narrator's POV
Thor walked down the halls of the tower, whistling happily, throwing an apple up in the air, catching it and taking a bite of it.
"Hey big guy." Steve greeted him.
"Greetings." Thor smiled at him.
"How're you liking earth?" Steve asked.
"It's been wonderful, well except for it's fruit." Thor said with a mouthful of apple, looking down at at the apple in his hand.
"What do you mean?"
"The apples taste quite funny." Thor said.
Steve looked at the apple. "Thor." He took the apple from Thor. "This is a styrofoam apple."
"Hm?" Thor raised a brow.
"It's for decoration." Steve explained. "It's fake."
"Really? I've eaten like three." Thor said.
"Oh boy." Steve chuckled.
"They're really hard to bite into." Thor said. "But very crunchy and convincing."
"Yeah, I'll just take the decorational fruit bowl out of the kitchen." Steve said, patting Thor's shoulder and walking away, still chuckling.
"Hahaha. Yeah. The fruit bowl." Thor laughed along, watching Steve walk away. He turned away. "What a weirdo." He said.
The large windows of the building offering a vast and beautiful view of New York drew Thor toward them.
Rain was falling from the sky outside, the sky was gray and there was low thunder rumbling above.
Thor smiled. He tighten his fist.
Lightening flashed in the sky, and thunder cracked loudly.
A huge smiled formed on Thor's lips.
It was a beautiful day.
He turned around when he heard the doors before him open and close.
"Banner, hello." He smiled.
Bruce didn't say anything as he walked around, jittery.
"Is everything okay?" Thor asked.
Bruce paced around.
"Banner?" Thor asked.
"Everything's okay." Bruce said, walking over to a leather couch and sitting in it, gripping tightly onto its sides, staring out the window, then below at his feet.
Thor looked at him, studying him.
He looked so uncomfortable.
Thor hated seeing his friends like this. He watched as Bruce only did two things: stare out the window and tap his fingers nervously. He looked out the window, then a Bruce, then out the window, then back at Bruce.

Thor's head perked up. "You don't like storms?" He asked.
"It's not-"
"Are you scared of the thunder? Is that it?" Thor asked.
"No." Bruce said. "I can't remember if I left my windows down."
Thor looked at him in confusion. "I don't think the windows in the building open." He looked at the large windows. "I don't see a way to open them."
"Of my car." Bruce told him.
"Oh, Banner." Thor rolled his eyes playfully and came closer to Bruce. "You've got nothing worry about. I'm sure someone of your intellectual would've rolled the windows up." Thor said.
"But what if my seats get wet? And if I have important papers in there, they'll get ruined." Bruce said.
"You worry too much." Thor sat in a chair next to him. "I like to close my eyes and just listen to the rain. Take a nap or two. Just, sit back, relax and enjoy." Thor said, closing his eyes and leaning back in his chair. He then opened an eyes, peeking over at Bruce, who was still so stressed. "Okay... How about we think about the things the rain brings?"
Bruce looked at him.
"You know, like flowers and new trees, more water for rivers, grass-"
"Wet car seats." Bruce said.
"Do you guys have any games or something?" Thor asked.
"We have plenty of board games on that shelf." Bruce pointed over at a shelf to their left.
"Ah." Thor stood and walked over to the shelf, looking around. "These all look very interesting, but I don't know which one to choose. Have a favorite?" Thor asked.
"UNO's always a top favorite." Bruce said.
"Which one is it?" Thor asked, looking around.
"It's inside that small box." Bruce said.
Thor grabbed it. "Uno, huh? What's that? French?" He asked.
Bruce couldn't help but crack a small smile.
Thor smiled back at him. "How do you play?" He asked, handing it to Bruce.
"Allow me to teach you..." Bruce said, taking the cards out of the box and shuffling them.

"And I was thinking maybe we could-" Tony was cut off when a loud groan come from the room he had just entered.
"URGH!" Bruce slammed his cards down on the small coffee table in front of him and Thor.
"Yahtzee!" Thor smiled and set his deck down on the table.
"What's going on?" Natasha asked, when she saw Thor and Bruce.
"I have all four aces, Banner." Thor said.
"Did he just shout Yahtzee?" Tony asked.
"He doesn't even know what we're playing, and he's won six times already." Bruce said, pointing at Thor.
"Go Fish?" Thor asked.
"Are you mad because someone has outsmarted you, Brucie?" Tony asked, walking over to another door and out.
Natasha following him.
"I think I'm done playing today." Bruce said, leaning back in his chair.
"Hey." Thor placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm not the real winner here." He said.
"You won six times." Bruce said.
"Well, yeah. I did..." Thor shook his head. "Anyway, that's not the point. You taught me everything I learned today, I won with your teachings, therefore you're the real winner here."
Bruce looked at him. "Thor-"
"You're a great teacher." Thor smiled at him.
"I mean, the rules are written on the back of the box, but-"
"Nope." Thor said. "You taught me, I learned, I won, you won. This calls for a celebration!"
Bruce chuckled and shook his head, smiling at Thor.
"Could you point me to where the real food is? I don't want to eat another fake apple." He leaned closer to Bruce. "Steve eats fake apples."
"What?" Bruce asked.
"Yeah, turns out the apples that were in the fruit bowl in the kitchen were fake, which I didn't know; so I ate four." Thor said.
"Thor." Bruce slapped his forehead.
"You really have to be more careful where you put those. Someone could accidentally eat one." Thor said.
"I'm sure we have some ice cream or something in the fridge." Bruce said.
"Ice cream?" Thor asked.
"Yeah. It's like a frozen dairy treat." Bruce said.
"Bring forty the frozen cow juice!" Thor shouted.
"Thor!" Bruce quickly turned to him.inside voice, please."
"Oh, right." Thor nodded. "Let's get us some frozen cow juice." He whispered. "Is that better?"
Bruce chuckled. "Perfect." He got up. "Come on."
The two walked to the door.
"Is frozen cow juice good?" Thor whispered.
"Thor."
"What?"
"You don't have to whisper anymore." Bruce told him.
"Oh." Thor said. "I thought we were using our inside voices."
Bruce chuckled. "Lord, please help me."
"How can I help you?" Thor asked.
"Wha- No, not the Lord of Thunder." Bruce shook his head. "It's an expression we use one earth."
"Oh." Thor nodded.
"We really need to teach you more earth things." Bruce said.
"Well, you can teach you." Thor said. "You're a great teacher."
Bruce scoffed as they made their way to the kitchen.
