Gxxod's POV

I guess my mind was not totally focused on my filming because several times the director had to make me redo some scenes.  Even though my leading lady was pretty I didn't feel any attraction towards her.  From time to  time she would flirt with me but I politely rejected any advances she would make.

At the end of the day when I was back in the company trailer I texted Bas.  I could not make any video calls yet because my manager sometimes barges into my trailer without the courtesy of knocking.

"Have you reached Bangkok yet?"  I texted him

Yes, I'm at home with my little sister.  We have a day off before we have to go on a promotional shoot."

"What will you be promoting?'

We will be promoting a new brand of men's wrist watch.  It will be a two day event.

"And the other four guys will be with you?"

Yes, plus Josh.

I sucked in my breath.  I knew that guy.  He was a professional model and I had caught him flirting with Bas during an event.

"Promise me you will stay away from him?"

P'Goxxd!  He is a nice guy, I don't want to ignore him if he talks to me.

That was it.  I made up my mind to ask for a day off from filming.  I had not yet even gotten to the point where I could ask Bas to be my boyfriend and already someone was threatening to make me lose my chances with him.

I got out of my trailer and made my way to my manager's.  I knocked at the door and I heard her say "Come in!"

I opened the door and stepped in.  "What is it now?" she asked impatiently.

"I need to take tomorrow off,"  I said.  I was prepared for her to say no but I had a good excuse in mind.

"You realize that you can't do that, right?" she said.

"If I did I wouldn't be here asking you,"  I countered.

"Listen here, young man," she said with folded arms.  "We cannot afford any delays in our filming.  It will only delay your going back to Bangkok and I already have other events lined up for you once we get there."

"I think a one day delay is not gonna hurt much,"  I said.  "I really have to take care of an urgent family business.  I will take only one day off and I will be back the following day."

"What's going on with your family," she asked suspiciously.

"I can't tell you," I said, "it's a private matter."

"Very well then," she said, "I will hold you to your word that you will be back the following day."

"Thank you, thank you."  I put my hands together in a prayer like motion and bowed very deeply then I ran back to my trailer shouting silently in my mind, "Success!  Watch out, Josh, you're not gonna take my boy from me!"

I quickly booked the earliest flight to Bangkok and started packing a few clothes and a few stuff into my carry on bag.  I had a fitful sleep that night but I could always sleep during the flight to Bangkok.
