Josh's POV

I'm so glad and grateful that Bas has agreed to have dinner with me at this Italian restaurant.  I really enjoy watching him eat his pasta dish with much relish.  He looks so sweet and innocent.  If he only knew how much I long to hold him in my arms and kiss him endlessly.  But sadly I know that his heart belongs to Gxxod, that ruthless arrogant uncaring devil who does not appreciate the worth of Bas and only wants to claim him for the sake of his own pride.  I can tell that he doesn't really care for Bas.  He just orders him around and acts possessive of him because he wants to claim Bas only for himself and not because he really loves him.  I have to find a way to make Bas realize that Gxxod will only end up breaking his heart later on.

Bas thanked me for the dinner after we both had our fill.

"You sure you don't want to watch a movie with me?  The night is still young,"  I tried to persuade him, but he refused and I did not insist.

I walked back to my car with a heavy heart.  I felt sad that the night ended too soon for me but I have to respect Bas' wishes.  I unlocked the door on the passenger side and he stepped in.

When he was seated I turned to him and said, "Bas, thank you for having dinner with me.  I hope that we can have some other fun activity again in the future.  I'm really not the person that you make me out to be.  I'm a very friendly and sociable person and other people misunderstand it as being a player.  I promise you that I can be a very faithful person once I fall in love with someone."

Bas did not reply immediately, and then after some deep thought he said, "Thank you for the dinner, P'Josh.  I'm sorry if I judged you wrongly.  Of course we can plan some fun activities when we're both free."

I wanted to take him in my arms right there and then but I restrained myself.  Instead I started the car and drove him home.

When we reached his house, he lightly placed his hand on mine and said, "Thank you again.  I'll see you at the shoot tomorrow."

I nodded without a word and watched him step out of the car.  I waited for someone to unlock the gate and let him in before I drove away.
