Sarah's POV

I watch AJ walk towards her car noticing Sofia leaning against the passenger side door. I happen to be behind AJ's car as we left the parking lot. I watch her turn towards her house as I head in the opposite direction. I try to focus on China and Cameron talking, and not focus on the fact my girlfriend is with her ex-fiancée in AJ's car heading towards AJ's house. "What are you thinking about?" China pulls me from my thoughts about my insecurities of my relationship. "Nothing, just trying to remember what else I might need to grab from my place," I answer trying not to seem suspicious to China. I look over at China before sighing, "Okay, so it might bother me a little that AJ and Sofia are alone."

I watch Cameron nod in the rearview mirror, "That's understandable, but I mean we can all see that AJ loves you." Cameron's words caught me off guard a little. I continue focusing on the road as we make our way towards China's place. "I know, but it's Sofia. The girl AJ was supposed to marry. The girl AJ planned her entire future with," I pout at the thought. "I know AJ. She would never cheat, but I still can't help the insecurities sometimes," I continue trying to make China and Cameron understand where I was coming from. "Do you think AJ would be with you if she still loved Sofia, even just a little bit?" Cameron's question really made me think because I'd like to think she would still pick me over Sofia. I mean Sofia broke AJ's heart, why wouldn't AJ pick me?

We pull up outside China's place. As soon as I park the car, I turn around facing China and Cameron. "I know she didn't cheat on Sofia. Dove is a lot of things, and sneaky and manipulative are the top two things on that list," Cameron states matter of fact while taking his seat belt off. "Whoa wait! Then why didn't you tell Sofia?" China asks as we got out of the car. "Don't you think I tried? Sofia doesn't listen to anybody, she's too hardheaded. Between the four of us she really only listens to Dove and the same goes for Booboo. Everyone thought I was just defending AJ because she was my best friend. I saw Dove come on to AJ multiple times, and every time AJ shot her down," Cameron says as we wait for China to unlock her front door. "It's very apparent that Dove does not take rejection well," China chuckles unlocking the door. "You're telling me," I mumble as we walk into her house. "Wait, do you need to go home Cameron?" I ask as we stop inside China's front door. He shook his head no. "Okay great then we'll just need to stop by my place after this," I say as I take a seat on the couch waiting for China to come back downstairs. "Don't worry about AJ. Trust her to be honest with you," Cameron reassures me plopping down on the couch next to me. "I know," I mumble as I lay my head on his shoulder. I know it shouldn't be me having a problem trusting AJ, and I couldn't help but feel guilty as I think back to my week with Nick.

We make out way up to the front gates, and I don't see Sofia or AJ anywhere. I call her and find out that they're on the way now. I put my phone back in my pocket letting the group know that they were on the way and that she said to go ahead in without them.

"So, when did you and AJ become close?" Booboo comes up beside me asking me the odd question. "Wait, actually when did you two start dating?" He changes his question. China bumps between me and Booboo and pulls my attention away from Booboo. "You don't have to answer him," she whispers into my ear, and she puts her arm around my shoulders. I shrug letting her know it was okay. I move her arm and loop our arms together as we continue walking with the group. I look over to Booboo who was walking beside Cameron and Dove. "Umm...well we got close after I got cast for the Charmed reboot. She was working on set, and we had remembered each other from the first Descendants. We became really close friends and then maybe a month or two later she asked me on a date, but I rejected her each time," I answer his question mentally laughing at how every time AJ asked me out, I would always say 'no' and walk away. "Why?" I hear Booboo's question. I look at him a little confused, "Why what?" "Why did you reject her?" He asks with an annoying grin. "I felt like we both weren't ready for a relationship, and I didn't want it to affect us working together." I answer.

"So, it didn't bother you that she was Sofia's ex-fiancée? Or it didn't bother her that you were one of Sofia's friends?" Dove's questions made all of us stop. I turn and look at Dove. "I bet that's the reason you didn't sign on to do Descendants 2, isn't it?" Booboo asks stepping closer to me making Cameron step between us and pushes him away slightly. I watch as Booboo moves backwards, and notice AJ and Sofia walking up to us. "Why don't you mind your business Booboo? Did it bother you when Sofia rejected you multiple times when we were engaged? Next time you want to know something about my relationship, come and ask me not Sarah. And get in my face like you just did Sarah's and I'll make sure you end up on your ass in front of everyone," AJ says getting closer to his face squaring up. "Do you think I can't take you AJ," Booboo says stepping closer to her. "Why don't you try it then?" AJ says trying to provoke him a little bit with her words, stepping so they were now chest to chest. "Hey guys, you're causing a scene," Dove tries pulling them from this standoff. "Great everyone can watch me kick AJ's ass," Booboo answers staring into AJ's eyes. "You do a few flips off buildings, and you think you're the shit," AJ mocks flicking her hands against his chest lightly. "Guys come on; we work for Disney. We can't draw unwanted attention to ourselves," Dove says sounding worried people will see the altercation. "AJ, come on," I pull on her arm trying to get her back away from Booboo. She intertwines our fingers and turns her attention engulfing me in a hug. "You okay?" AJ asks into my hair. I nod as I hold onto her tighter not wanting to let go. She turns us around back towards the group, "We're going to go grab some food. Anyone want anything?" AJ asks the group and I just look at their shocked faces before Cameron pulls our attention towards him, "We'll figure out what rides to do first, while you two go get yourselves some food."

AJ and I walk away with her arm over my shoulder. I take her hand draped over my shoulder and intertwine our fingers. We stand in line for a churro stand when AJ turns to face me. "I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner. I cross my arms over my chest shaking my head, "It's fine. It's not your fault Booboo's a jerk." AJ wraps her arms around me, and I place my head against her chest. I uncross my arms and wrap them around her waist. I feel AJ kiss the top of my head, "More like a nosy asshat." I giggle at AJ's correction as I feel her rocking us gently back and forth. "I don't remember the last time I came to Disneyland," AJ says pulling my attention up to her face. I smile mischievously, "We need to get matching ears." AJ groans at the thought. "Not matching ears," she says pouting like a child. I giggle at her pouting and kiss under her chin.

I finished my churro as we walked back to the group. We had stopped inside one of the shops so I could pick out some matching ears. I throw our wrappers in the trash and grab AJ's hand swinging it as we walked. "Happy?" AJ asks looking over at me. "I'm always happy when I'm with you," she smiles as my answer and pecks my lips.

"Hey there you guys are! Nice ears AJ," Cameron yells as we walk up to the group. "Alright, we agreed on doing Splash Mountain first so we can walk around and dry off. Is that okay with the both of you?" Cameron asks and we look at each other nodding. "Cool, then we'd do Mad Tea Party," Cameron says earning a fist bump from AJ. "Come on kiddies, we're burning daylight," China claps starting to walk away.

"Remember when we went on the Mad Tea Party and we were spinning so fast we were sick after," Cameron asks AJ as she laughs at the memory. "Oh man! They stopped the ride early because we were going too fast and they thought we'd break the ride," AJ and Cameron laugh at the memory. "Well, we know who not to ride with," I laugh making them both roll their eyes. "Your loss, sweetheart," AJ says kissing my cheek before letting go of my hand to walk with Cameron. I watch the two do their secret handshake before running off ahead of the group to join the Splash Mountain queue. "Maybe we shouldn't have brought them," I look over seeing Sofia watching the pair with me and China. "Well, it's too late to ditch them, so come on before we lose them," China smiles grabbing my hand heading in the direction of the two.

AJ's POV

After riding Mad Tea Party, we didn't have much of a plan, so we walked seeing wait times for other rides. We headed towards New Orleans Square to hit up probably my favorite two rides in Disneyland and Disney World: The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. The wait times were both around a thirty-minute wait, and none of us were in a hurry to leave since we all had a later start tomorrow. Cameron and China texted Mitchell Hope, Brenna D'Amico, Thomas Doherty, Zachary Gibson, and Dylan Playfair, to join us if they could. Once the other five cast members caught up to us, the altercation between Booboo and I seemed to have disappeared.

"You should try apologizing for how heated you got earlier," Sarah whispers to me as we stand in line for The Haunted Mansion. "I know, I just didn't appreciate him getting that close to you and pushing for answers he doesn't need," I say into Sarah's head. She was leaning her front against me while we waited, and it was starting to become quite hard to move us both whenever we moved up. "I appreciate the chivalry but remember we can't let them get to us. It's only fuel for the fire," I smile against her forehead kissing it. "Jeez, when did you become so wise, babe?" I ask hearing the sweet giggle. "Just trying to keep the peace," she kisses under my neck and pushes off me as we make our way into the dark room of the ride.

We make our way to Pirates of the Caribbean queue, and I stop Booboo as the group goes ahead of us. "Hey man, look about earlier I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten so defensive. I was walking up to a situation I didn't know much about, and only saw you getting close to Sarah and seeing her a bit uncomfortable," I make my words as sincere as possible. "Look, I know we both said some things we didn't mean, and I'm sorry too. Can we try again?" Booboo asks putting out his hand. I accept his offer and we walk through the queue catching up with the group. "There you two are! We thought we'd have to bail you out of Disney jail for fighting," Cameron laughs but has relief written all over his face not seeing either of his friends covered in bruises or blood. "Oh yeah! Booboo and I are good. No bailing out of jail today," I joke back inching over towards Sarah and wrapping my arms around her shoulders. "All good?" She whispers into my shoulder. "All good," I whisper in her ear before kissing her temple.

As we make our way out of the ride exit, I take a look at my watch. "Hey guys, it's only 4:00pm. Did we want to go over to California Adventure to ride a few rids, then maybe we can come back over to watch Fantasmic at," I trail off to look at the map China was holding, "I think 9:00pm is the first show." I look up at the group in front of me waiting to see who was feeling up to my plan. "I'm down!" Cameron exclaims beaming. I return his smile looking at the others. "Yeah, why not? What else am I going to do? Go home and be bored," Thomas and Dylan look at each other and back at me smiling. "Alright! Let's move people! We're burning daylight," Dove yells over her shoulder leading us towards the other park's entrance. I feel a hand snake around my own, "You okay?" Sarah says as we trail the group. "Yeah, I'm great! Just didn't want to leave yet, and you know I love Fantasmic," I wink and tighten my hold on her hand reassuring her with my words.

As everyone stopped to take a group picture, I look over the map figuring out what rides we absolutely couldn't miss. We had to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! I mean I'm a huge Marvel nerd and skipping that ride would be a huge no no. Sarah tugs me towards her so she can take a selfie of us. I turn to kiss her cheek making her smile only bigger. While she looks over the picture to post on Instagram, I admire her beaming with pride. She has accomplished a lot for her career, and I was lucky I got to be a part of her life as she's doing it. Yeah, we might have had a rough past week since we hadn't really talked but she's busy working and it's not like I haven't either. It comes with our careers, and if something had been bothering her, she'd tell me. Right? "So what ride first, captain?" Cameron pulls me from my thoughts. "Oh I was thinking Guardians of the Galaxy, and then maybe Cars Land?" I hear a collective okay from the group, and we make our way towards our destination.

"So AJ, you think you'll ever get to work on a big Marvel or Disney movie?" China asks. We were currently standing in the Guardians of the Galaxy queue, and everyone was talking amongst themselves. China was standing with Sarah, Cameron, and I, talking about movies. "Actually, I'd love to work on a Disney animated movie or even Pixar. Their storytelling abilities are just so great, and I would probably try to animate and work with the music," I answer as Sarah plays with my fidget ring. "Did you see Black Panther?" Cameron asks and I shoot him an eyebrow. "Of course, I did! I'd never miss the opportunity to see a Marvel movie in theaters, my good sir," I say in a duh tone. While talking about our favorite Marvel characters and how much we were looking forward to Avengers: Infinity War coming out later in April, I couldn't help but notice Sofia glancing over at Sarah and me. I mean were pretty cozy in line. She hadn't stopped using me as a human wall leaning against me every chance she got, and I wasn't complaining either. I hadn't gotten this much love and affection for a week; I missed my girlfriend.

"Is anyone else hungry?" Mitchell and Zachary say in unison. We all laugh and look at the time. "It is around time for dinner. Do we want to split up for dinner, or grab something together?" Brenna asks looking at all of us. "What is everyone feeling?" I ask and hear varying answers. I chuckle, "I guess that answers your question, Brenna." Sarah grabs my hand and looks up at me, "Let's go to Downtown Disney, and eat at that place with really good paella!" "Oh Catal? That place is great!" Cameron chimes but gets an elbow from Dove. "You two go, we're going to Tortilla Jo's. I'm feeling something spicy," Dove narrows her eyes at me making my skin crawl. The group leaves us before we can set where we'll meet up for Fantasmic in Disneyland. "Hey," Sarah shakes my arm getting my attention, "you okay?" I look down at the sweet girl, "Yeah, let's get you this amazing milkshake you're wanting." I kiss her head and we walk hand in hand.

Sarah gets the vegetarian paella and the specialty lemonade, and I get the Strozzapreti pasta since I try not to eat anything with animal in it around Sarah. "Have you had fun today?" I ask as I take a sip of my water. "Yeah, it was a bit rocky there in the beginning, but it turned around. Everyone's getting along too, which is nice for a change. It also doesn't feel awkward like I thought it would be," Sarah steals some of my pasta. "Awkward? Why would it be awkward?" I inquire wiping my hands on a napkin. "We're hanging out with Sofia, and you two haven't been weird around each other," she states matter of factly. No one may feel this weird tension between Sofia and I, but I definitely can. I feel like she's been watching my every move, but that could just be my paranoia thinking that she actually still cares about me. I shrug, "Yeah, I guess hanging out with her isn't as hard as I thought it would."

Sarah and I walk through the Disneyland gates heading towards the New Orleans Square area. China had texted me saying that the few staying for Fantasmic! would meet us over near the Rivers of America. We navigate our way through the growing crowd and the only person I'm able to see from our group is Booboo towering over the small group left. The only people to stay were Dove, Booboo, Cameron, China, and Sofia, which made sense since we all came in Sarah, Booboo, and I's cars. Shit! I need to ask Sofia if she wants a ride home since I brought her here.

We say our hellos catching everyone's attention and we stand with the group. I pull Sarah in front of me since she wouldn't be able to see if she stood behind me. I go to intertwine my fingers with Sarah's pulling her to my front to rest my chin on her head. I turn and see Sofia next to me and I give her a small smile. Yep, not awkward at all. I lean towards Sofia a little grabbing her attention. "Did you want me to give you a ride home? I know I brought you, so I'd hate to abandon you," I ask, and she smiles at me. "I appreciate the offer, but I didn't want to impose so I already talked to Booboo at dinner about giving me a ride home. My place is along the way for him and Dove, so it works out," I nod at her and readjust my position as the lights began to dim and the ominous voice comes on:

"Welcome to Fantasmic! Tonight, our friend and host, Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imagination to create magical imagery for all to enjoy. In a moment, you can experience a beautiful fantasy or an exciting adventure but beware nothing is more powerful than the imagination for it can also expand your greatest fears into an overwhelming nightmare. We now invite you to join and experience Fantasmic! A journey beyond your wildest imagination."

The music starts with the lights turning towards the stage, and I immediately have the biggest grin on my face. Sarah wraps my arms around her, and I sway us gently to the music. This show was one my family always watched when I was growing up in Florida. We didn't go to Walt Disney World often, but when we did, I made sure Fantasmic! was on the itinerary. The shows are different between, but they still feature similar songs, and I'm a Disney adult, who appreciates every movie's soundtrack. When Sofia and I were in middle school, we dressed as Beauty and the Beast for our first Halloween together cause it was her favorite movie. Why am I thinking about Sofia with Sarah in my arms? Snap out of it, AJ! I'm brought out of my thoughts hearing China and Sarah singing along with Gene doing 'Friend Like Me.' I kiss Sarah's head smiling at how happy I feel right now.

As we continue watching the show, a cannon going off makes Sarah jump further into my arms. I chuckle and hold her tighter. "I don't remember Pirates of the Caribbean being a part of the show," I whisper into Sarah's ear, "Guess it's been a minute, since I've seen the show." She kisses my cheek, "Guess so, just means you should pay attention to the show and not me." I smile pecking her lips quickly.

The scenes continue to change, and the princess and princes' portion of the show starts. I start singing along to 'A Whole New World' to Sarah, and it soon changes to the Beauty and the Beast song, and I tense a little remembering Sofia is next to me. I feel Sarah squeeze my hand singing 'I See the Light' from Tangled and I sing along with her. As the songs fade, I kiss Sarah's neck feeling her hum against my lips. As the story continues, the villain portions come up and I lean over towards Sofia. "I didn't know your mom was in this," I wink, and she shoves me laughing. My smile never leaves my face as the show continues, and I continue relishing in the moment. I didn't need to make things awkward with Sofia, and I didn't need to worry about Sarah not being able to spend time with me much last week. We're both busy humans, and I'm an adult. I shouldn't be acting like a clingy teenage.
