I Need You To Be There... For a little more than Always!!!

Part 65:Abhi: Kiddo.... Plz just at least take a nap for sometime. Sitting and worrying like this will do no good to u....
Nandini: Abhi... How do u expect me to sleep?? We don't even know how is Amms....Nandini said rubbing her finger nails together as she sat on the middle of the bed with Abhi on her side.
Abhi: Just a few hours more.. And u will know, but if u don't take rest now then by the time we reach u'll probably urself be ill.
Abhi said caressing her head trying to calm her down as the two sat in the on jet bedroom. Being the owner of a world wide chain of hotels definitely was one of the richest families. Abhi being travelling on n off from India to L.A. regularly always used their own jet. A room inside it being one of the basic facilities along with the other modern ones, looking into his comfort.
Abhi: Kiddo listen.... Just plz take some rest for now, I don't even know if u being traveling is good for u or not after u being ill just last night.
Nandini: Abhi relax... We both know I had just fainted due to excessive intake of alcohol. It was nothing major. I m totally fine!!
Abhi: But still u need to rest... Come on lie down now and stop running ur nails together.
Abhi said stubbornly as he made her lie down on the pillow and started caressing her head. It was not too long when he saw her breathing get slower as sleep took over to her in the effect of the high dose of medicines.
He got up slowly from her side and turned the lights dim as he opened up the door and slid outside. He moved through the hosting area and the washrooms to reach the sitting area of the jet where Fab5 sat comfortably scattered around.
Dhruliya sat together talking to each other in hushed voice as Aliya rested her head over dhruv's chest. Mukti sat on the other side read some random magazine while Cabir sat in front of her with his head phones on and his head moving along with the beats.
Abhi turned to the other side to see Manik looking out of the window to the dark clouds lost in deep thoughts. When abhi remembered the scene from the morning.
FLASHBACK:
Abhi moved out of the room hurriedly after attending Anjali's call as Nandini decided to accompany him to L.A.
All of them noticed him worried as he called someone.Abhi on call: Hello Rohan!! I need to get back immediately. Get the pilot ready ASAP...... U have 2 hours max....
Abhi disconnected the call and flipped through his phone ready to call someone else. He had just dialed another number when Manik asked,Manik: Abhi what's happening??
Abhi heard him and turned towards them as he disconnected the call and said,Abhi: We r going to L.A.!!
Manik: We???
Abhi: Nandu n me....
Manik looked shocked by the news and immediately asked,Manik: U mean Nandini is going away from here.... She agreed to get back to vegas??
Abhi: Guys... Amms had an heart attack last night!! She is too attached to Nandini and is constantly calling out for her. Anjali, Rishab's wife called me, as I m usually the one to handle amms, other than Nandu.... But she wants to go herself. We r leaving in 2 hours.
Mukti: What... Two hours!!!
Abhi: I m sorry Manik... I knw u wish to sort out everything with Nandu, but for now we hv to go!! I don't know what I can do for u.
Manik stood their silent when Abhi's phone rang and he got busy ordering his staff about handling work in his absence. He finished the call to see all of them gloomy and simply gave them a sorry look and turned around when he heard manik say,
Manik: I m coming along with U!!!
Flashback Ends.
Well not just Manik, but the others too volunteered to join them and here they were on the way to L.A. Abhi moved forward towards them when Dhruv noticed him.
Dhruv: Ohh hi Abhimanyu!!
This grabbed all their attention as Abhi smiled slight at them and took a seat rubbing off his hand through his hair.
Manik: How is she???
Abhi: Fine... Not so fine!!! Just being her stubborn self, she is worried for Amms. I got her to sleep very difficultly.
Manik sighed listening to him while the others too nodded.Mukti: I just hope she takes it well...
Abhi: That is my major concern mukti.... For now, she is just thinking about Amms and her health, but being there is gonna bring a lot more back to her. Especially...Abhi said and stopped lost in his thoughts as concern spread through his face.
Cabir: Especially????
Abhi: Rishab... Last night was the first time ever that Nandu talked about that day. First time in the four years that she took his name. I just don't knw how she is going to react once we reach.
Manik: What about Rishab?? How do u think he is going to react?Manik asked trying to control the hatred falling off his voice.
Abhi: All of them think that Nandu committed suicide. And somewhere in the back of their heads they hv accepted the fact that she is no more!!!Abhi said closing his eyes as his voice broke over the last two words.
Abhi: Rishab has been living his life in guilt for all these years. He has suffered his share of punishment and now that he will see his Nandu, I m sure he is gonna be on cloud nine. Believe it or not, he too loves Nandu as much as Amma-appa, amms or I do.
Cabir: Lets just hope it all goes well...
Manik: Umn.. Abhi!! We found this I-pad in her cabin yesterday before we met u.Manik said forwarding her I-pad towards him. Abhi immediately smiled looking at it and caressed the back cover.
Abhi: This was Appa's.... She asked for it after his death. She stored all her songs in this, even before they were released, she thought of it as Appa himself.
Manik: Can u by any chance guess its password??
Abhi smiled slightly at it and picked up a paper and pen from his side. He scribbled something over it and then passed it to him.Abhi: Nandini always keeps birthdates as her passwords.... Birthday's of her loved ones. That is just the five of us, her family. Try these out.
Manik took the paper from him when Abhi got up to move to the washroom. He was about to walk away when he stopped again,Abhi: Manik...... That was the past, The passwords are always on the people whom she loves the most.
With that Abhi moved away while Manik opened up her pad. He entered her appa's birthdate but it didn't work. All the others looked at him sigh as he went on with her mother's and amms date.
Mukti: Manik.... U know what Abhi meant. Try urs before these...
Manik: No mukti... I m sure it must be Abhi. Let me try his date.
As the device again showed the msg, 'Incorrect Password'.
Cabir: Now what... Do u still believe that it will be Rishab, the person whose name also makes her cry. Give it to me.
Cabir snatched the device from him and entered Manik's birthdate. The next moment, the screen flashed open as Cabir handed it back to Manik with a smirk. Manik looked at a screen as a chuckle escaped his mouth. There at the wallpaper was a pic of both of them where Manik was making a face at the camera while Nandini sat there looking at him in amusement.

-------------------------------------A few hours later, they were still on the flight, with only a few minutes left to reach. Aliya was sleeping on Dhruv's shoulder who was busy reading a novel. Mukbhi sat together talking as cabir kept on stealing glances at them in amusement.
Cabir: Something needs to be looked upon after all this drama.
He smiled at the two and turned to look at Manik who had ear phones attached to Nandini's I-pad as he heard all her songs.
They were all busy in themselves when Nandini woke up and walked out to find Abhi. She moved out towards the seating area only to be shocked by the view in front of her.
Cabir was the first one to notice her standing there with a stunned look as he got up calling out her name. Abhi heard him and got up turning towards her.
Nandini had her eyes fixed over to Manik who was still lost in her music with his eyes closed. She broke her gaze from him and shifted to Abhi with a blank expression.
Abhi: Kiddo listen.... I-
But before he could say anything, she stopped him by moving out her hand on front of him.
Nandini: Not A Word!!!
She looked at all the others once before turning around. Abhi moved forward behind her calling her out.
Abhi: Nandu wait, hear me out!
Nandini: I said.... NOT A WORD ABHIMANYU!!Nandini shouted at him resulting to waking up aliya as Manik too heard her and opened up his eyes.
Abhi: Kiddo calm down...
Nandini: Calm down??? U seriously think that I will calm down.... I just wanted one thing from u, just one thing and that was not to tell Him.... And u..
Abhi: Nandu... He called me!! Manik was the one who found u, he called me.... I didn't. He is guilty for whatever happened, he wanted to apologize.
Nandini: And U R Being His Lawyer Here..... WOW!! Nandini snapped shouting again.
Manik: Nandini I-Manik said taking a step ahead when Nandini moved backwards and faced abhi particularly.
Nandini: Abhi I think u r too busy after all, u hv ur dearest guests to attend. I will just like to leave u all alone and head back to the room.
Abhi: Nandu, u hv to talk.
Nandini: Well I would like to be on my own free will out here.... Unless, u have a problem with that too??
Before they could say anything she was out of their sight into the room. None of them said anything at it, when Abhi just shook his head and sat while Fab5 stood there with shocked expressions.
Abhi: What happened guys??
All of them saw him sitting comfortably when Aliya said,Aliya: Nandini.... She... What is happening??
Cabir: Aliya I guess she is just too hurt at the moment. We should hv expected this reaction of hers on knowing that we were coming along. How long could we hv hidden it?
Abhi: Cabir is right.... I knew this would be her reaction.... Don't think much!!
Manik was about to say something when the pilot informed them to tie up their seat belts and get ready for landing. ---------------------------------
It was 6:30 in the evening when they all landed at the airport. They all unblocked their seat belts and got up when abhi said,
Abhi: Just a bit of a tip guys.... Don't worry about ur stuff and get into the car as soon as u see it!
All of them looked at him confused while Abhi simply winked at them as the sir hostess opened up the door for them. Abhi got down the jet followed by the others to greet a few men standing to receive him.
Abhi: Guys... This is Andrew, my manager.
All of them nodded at the guy as he greeted them and pointed at the 8 seater car ready for them at the runway itself. As Cabir had said, they moved towards the car as Dhruliya took the last seat when they saw Nandini getting down the jet. She had changed into an elegant beige colored long suit, with a black purse and goggles on her eyes. They saw her nod at the manager as she directly walked towards the car.

Abhi moved shortly after her as Mukti too sat inside. They saw her go to the chauffer standing next to the car as she forwarded her hand,
Nandini: Keys???
Chauffer: But ma'am-He hesitated not knowing who she was.
Nandini: I don't like to repeat myself... I asked for the keys!! Nandini said politely.
Chauffer: Madam I-
Nandini: U r fired.... Get off my way!! Nandini snapped at him this time as she crossed him and got into the drivers seat, snatching the keys from his grip.
Abhi entered swiftly next to her as the engine roared into life. Manik and cabir just got in on time and she was already rolling.
Abhi: Kiddo seat belt!!
Nandini heard him and gave her a glance before looking back at the front and ignoring him. She changed the gear to the next higher one, increasing the speed of the car further as they got onto the main road.
Abhi: Guys... Get ur seat belts on!!Abhi looked back and tied his own while the others followed her.
Nandini roared the car rashly through the busy evening traffic. Mukti: Nandini, Its the left hand drive. R u comfortable driving like this...
Nandini didn't reply anything to him while Abhi chuckled softly, as he turned towards Nandini.Abhi: I don't think that she ever tried the right hand drive!! Did u Nandu??? By the way thanks.... I wanted to get rid of him and I knew u would fire him in a minute.
Nandini glanced at him once again as she took a sharp right turn causing them all to hold themselves in place as silence took its place. A few minutes passed away running the car when Abhi again said,Abhi: Kiddo... Take off ur shades!! Its already dark outside and u r driving a lot above the limit.
Nandini again ignored him when abhi changed his tone to a stern one.Abhi: I m not agreeing to this ignoring business Nandini... Just remove ur shades right now!!
They heard Nandini groan at him and the next second her goggles were out of the window lying over the road as she threw them out and increased the speed further. They noticed her eyes stark red, which were now visible without the shades hiding it.
Manik: Nandini slow down..... Its too much traffic here, we seriously don't wanna meet with an accident.Manik said calmly at her as she replied,
Nandini: Relax Manik... I'll get u to ur destination without a single harm. Trust me!!
Manik was about to say something at this, when she snorted,Nandini: Ohh yes... U don't trust me...
Her voice sounded stiff as she took another sharp turn. A few minutes later, she stopped directly in front of a beautiful Mansion, as she got down the car. They saw her rush towards the entrance. All of them got down behind her trying to match her up.
She was about to step into the house when she stopped in her tracks. Abhi reached near her first to see a flash of pain on her face.
Abhi: Kiddo...
Nandini took a step back shaking her head in a No. Nandini: I can't....
Abhi: Nandu... This is ur house... Come on!!
Nandini: I... I can't Abhi!! She whispered looking up at him as tears made way out of her eyes.
Abhi moved closer towards her and held her by her shoulders. Abhi: U can and U will.... For Amms!!
All of them saw her clench her fists together as she finally entered the house walking slowly.
Fab5 followed her inside, all of them looking around the house. Fab5, to look at the new place while Nandini, to remember all those years that she had spent inside the same house. They heard a few gasps from the staff as they noticed her while she continued walking to the other side of the mansion.
Nandini led them slowly to a room, which they guessed to be Amms's room. She stood in front of the gate taking a deep breath as she wiped off the tears from her eyes and opened up the door.
Inside the room, they saw an elderly lady lying on the bed while another young lady sitting by get side with a book as she read it out loud.
Nandini: Amms!!
Both of them looked up at her voice as Nandini walked closer to Amms.Amms: Nandu... Kanna!!
Tears welled up in amms eyes as she forwarded her hand to Nandini. Nandini held her hand and sat by her side smiling at her.
Nandini: Yes amms... Ur nandu is here!!
Amms caressed her face as she moved forward kissing her forehead and hugging her.Amms: U hv grown up so well.... Kitni pyaari lag rhi h meri bachi...
Nandini: But look at u... Where is my young energetic amms, u seem to hv grown old!! Not fair.
Amms chuckled at her statement so did Anjali, as she wiped off her tears.
Amms: U were not there na to make me run after u.... Now that u r here, I'll be fine very soon...Amms said slowly as her eyes dropped due to the effect of high medicines. Nandini noticed it and caressed her hand.
Nandini: Ohk then for now... U take rest!! U hv to get better right?
Amms clutched her hand tight listening to this when Nandini again assured her.Nandini: I m not going anywhere amms... I m here only!! With u!!
Soon she drifted into her sleep as Nandini slowly left her hand covering her up with the duvet. She wiped off her face from the tears as all of them left the room closing the door behind them.
As soon as they reached outside, Nandini was pulled into a tight hug by Anjali.Anjali: OMG... I still can't believe its u Nandini.... I missed u so much, where were u???
Nandini broke the hug slowly smiling at her.Nandini: Its good to see u Anjali. I missed u too....
Anjali: Now u r back na... Now everything will get back to normal. U na go get freshened up, I'll make all ur favorite stuff for dinner.
Nandini: Thanks a lot Anjali.... But u don't need to. I don't think ur husband would like having me live in his house, so I better settle down at my own place. I hope he doesn't mind me coming up here again to meet Amms, if he does then plz inform me later so that I think of some other way to see her.
Anjali: Nandini...
Nandini: Its fine Anjali.... I'll see u tmrw!! Bye....
And with that Nandini turned around and simply walked out of the house just the way she came in. Anjali looked up at Abhi, who simply blinked his eyes,
Abhi: Give her some time Anjali... I know she will come around. ----------------------------------------
So guys, Nandini finally home..... How was it???
Again no Manan, I hope it wasn't too boring, but it was needed.
Manan moments coming up in the next part, but I can't yet guarantee about whether it will be something soft or again another fight. Lets see what comes up this time.
