Part 58:

Manan sat comfortably in the car as Manik drove towards their destination. He was nervous as hell as he wanted Nandini to love his surprise to the fullest. He picked up his hand from the gearbox and skimmed his fingers through his hair, before concentrating back to the road.

Nandini noticed his face and held his hand as she entwined their fingers together. Manik turned to his side and looked at nandini who was sitting with her eyes closed and a pleasant smile on her face.

And just like that... It was all gone!!

All his nervousness flew out of the window, by just looking at her smile.

Manik: What r u thinking??

Nandini clutched his hand tighter without opening her eyes as she slowly replied,

Nandini: Nothing..... I just don't want to think anything at this point of time. I just want to feel ur presence next to me, and this.... Believe me is more than enough for me.

A smile crept on Manik's face listening to her as he held up their entwined hands and brought it closer to his lips placing a slight kiss, before holding it closer to his heart.

Manik: U pull me Nandini.... Every time, every where!!

Nandini opened up her eyes and looked at him. Manik noticed something in her eyes and held her hand tight.

Manik: What happened??

Nandini: Nothing.... I was just wondering when will I be able to tell u clearly what u r to me...

Manik: Whenever u r ready to.... There is no hurry!!

Nandini: There is Manik.... Its high time that u know the importance that u hold in my life.

Manik kissed her hand again and stopped the car.

Manik: We r here.... Come!!

Saying so Manik got down the car and opened up the door for Nandini.

Nandini: Manik.... Why r we in a jungle??

Manik: Shh come....

Nandini: Manik seriously its so dark out here.... If this is ur idea of scaring me, then plz u hv succeeded now lets go!!!

Manik: Nandini... Shh!! Close ur eyes....

Manik said to her like a teacher scolding a child. Nandini made a grumpy pout and then slowly closed her eyes. He kept on of his hands over her eyes and wrapped the other round her waist to support her.

They slowly started walking inside as he lead her and soon stopped. He stood behind her and whispered into her ears,

Manik: Open ur eyes nandini....

Nandini followed his words and the view in front of her shocked her to the core. No words came out of her mouth as she continued taking in the decor.

She turned around to face Manik to see him on his knees looking straight into her eyes.

And her world stopped.

The only thing that was going on in her mind was that Manik had organised such a beautiful date for her and now he was on his knees in front of her.

Was.

He.

Really.

Going.

To.

Manik: Relax.... I know u r not ready for that yet!!

Nandini let out her breath as they both chuckled at it.

Manik: Thank u Nandini..... Thank u very much!! Today I can say loud and clear to the world that Fab5 wherever it is today is only bcoz of one person and that is You!! I don't know how to thank u enough for this but..

Before Manik could continue Nandini stopped him by keeping her hand over his lips.

Nandini: I didn't do anything for u Manik. Fab5's success matters much much more to me than u could ever thing of.

Manik smiled at her as he got up and pulled her for a hug.

Manik: I love u Nandini....

Nandini: I love u too Manik... And I trust u much more than it!

Manik broke the hug as he kissed her forehead slowly.

Manik: Come...

He lead her towards the table setup and pulled out a chair for her. She smiled at him as he pulled out the wine bottle and poured it out for the two. He took a seat in front of her and picked up his glass.

Manik: To u!!

Nandini: To us...

Nandini said picking up her glass. He clicked it together as she tasted it to find it to be a fruit juice.

Manik: I knew u wouldn't want wine!

Nandini smiled at him and continued sipping her drink when Manik forwarded her his hand.

Manik: Dance?

Nandini gladly accepted it and stood up as he played songs nice romantic music on his cell.

Manik held her waist tightly as Nandini placed both of her hands over his shoulder. She rested her head along his chest right above his heart as they moved along the beats.

Both of them were completely lost into each other when Nandini suddenly heard something move at the far most corner. She moved away to turn around and before they knew she lost her balance and they fell with manik on the ground and Nandini above him.

Manik: Oh God... What happened??

Nandini: Something's there!!

Manik: Gosh Nandini... Relax, its just the helper I told him to serve dinner.

Nandini sighed out a relief and looked back at him. She was completely lying over him with her hair falling on both sides of their heads. Manik moved his hand from her back as he tucked her hair behind her ear, caressing her cheeks.

Nandini bent further down and kissed his cheek, moving down trailing wet kisses asking his jaw line ending right at the corner of his lips and then starting the entry thing all over again on his next cheek. As she finished, she looked deep into his eyes, with his breathing now intense.

She saw him eyeing her lips as he whispered,

Manik: I know u intentionally skipped my lips and let me tell u baby if u r trying to tease me then u hv a very wrong timing.

Nandini looked at him confused when he finally spoke up,

Manik: Nandini... U just kinda flicked ur hand hard over my groin n now u r so close to me doing things that I would definitely lead me to loose all my control which I intend to keep at least until we finish off our dinner and I finally get u all to myself.

Nandini heard him clearly but stayed blank as she took a few moments to let that sink in after which she immediately got off him blushing hard.

Manik too got up after her to find her looking everywhere but at him. He stood there waiting for her and the moment their eyes met....

Both of them burst out laughing at the entire thing.

Manik: U definitely drive me crazy baby girl...

Manik said wrapping his arm around her walking back towards the table when Nandini gave him a cheeky smile and replied,

Nandini: With pleasure Monster!!

Both of them took their seats again, still laughing when they finally started with their dinner with the ever so romantic talks. As they finished with it Manik forwarded his hand towards her. Nandini looked up at him confused when he simply smiled,

Nandini: What... What now??

Manik: Come... Now that we r alone, I hv got to show u something!!

Nandini smiled at him and held his hand as he slowly walked her further into the dark forest. She wrapped her hands around his arm and rested her head on his shoulder.

Nandini: Mani... We r walking from 10 minutes where r u taking me??

Manik: Its a surprise!!

Nandini: U n ur surprises....

Nandini rolled her eyes when suddenly some lights caught her attention. She left his arm and rushed further to get her eyes bulged out at the view in front of her. She took a minute to take it in when she felt Manik join her by her side.

Manik: Nandini.....

And before he knew it Nandini jumped over him shouting in excitement.

Nandini: This. Is. So. Unreal..... OMG!!

Thank u thank u thank u....

Manik laughed at her excitement as he picked her up in his arms twirling her around. Nandini laughed out loud at this and simply placed her lips over his. Manik was shocked at it for a second before he held her firm and kissed her back while he took her to the matress and settled down with her sitting on his lap.

Nandini's hands were on the back of his neck pulling him closer if possible further. Manik broke the kiss as he felt her getting breathless and saw her blushing hard.

Manik: And now u r at the right place.

Both of them lied down next to each other gazing at the stars, enjoying their comfortable silence.

Nandini: Manik... U know I could count how many times I felt truly happy before u came into my life. But as u came... I lost my count, its as if everything now gives me happiness just bcoz u r there with me.

Manik pulled her closer in response, his arms wrapping around her stomach. He just couldn't stop touching her, neither did she want him to. She felt him kissing her hair, rubbing his cheek against it.

He moved his head kissing her shoulder, little nibbles of his lips on her skin felt like electricity passed off through her hands. When suddenly Manik's phone broke their trance.

Manik groaned at it while Nandini just stayed quite controlling herself. Manik pulled out the phone and saw Cabir's call, he immediately picked up the call and cursed.

Manik: Seriously Cabir... Its 11 yr!! Tu humesha galat tym pr kyu call krta h....

Cabir ignored his comment and said directly,

Cabir: Manik.... Reach the city hospital asap!!

Manik: What... Hospital?? Why??

Cabir: Just come... Dadi isn't well!! Simi called me, I just got her admitted.

It was as if the ground slipped from under Manik as he simply whispered,

Manik: Dadi.....

20 mins later, Manik and Nandini rushed into the hospital and were directed towards the OT where they saw Fab4 standing with worried faces.

Manik: Cabir... What happened??

Cabir: Simi just told me that she suddenly started feeling it difficult to breath and then fainted. The doctor is still checking onto what went wrong.

Manik: Why didn't she call me?

Cabir: I guess ur phone wasn't reachable....

Manik sighed in frustration and moved ahead to peep into the room through the window to find a doctor and two nurses treating her.

Tears feel down his eyes looking at her when he felt a hand on his shoulder and before even looking at the person, he simply turned around and hugged her tight.

Manik: Nandini... Dadi!!

Nandini too had tears in her eyes since the time they had entered the hospital but she caressed his back and whispered softly,

Nandini: Sshhh... Manik!! Relax... She would be all right very soon...

Nandini asked Mukti to get water as she made Manik sit on the bench and made him take a sip or two.

It took around an hour for the doctors to finish up their work while Manik sat there numb with no expression on his face other than Nandini's hand that he had clutched as tight as his dear life. Nandini kept on hiding her tears which didn't go unnoticed by the other four.

Cabir went to her side and kept a reassuring hand over her shoulder to give her some strength. When finally the doctor moved out.

Manik immediately got up from the chair and rushed to him still clutching into Nandini's hand.

Manik: Doctor... How is she?? What happened??

Doctor: Nothing can be said as of now Mr. Malhotra!!! It was a case of medicinal poisoning, though we hv removed all the poison but the next 24 hours cn be critical.

Manik: Poison??

Doctor: Yeah it seems like by mistake she took a wrong medicine, or maybe someone gave her. It had a reverse effect on her lungs and thus she couldn't breath properly. Anyways, we hv to hope for the best!!

Saying silk the doctor went away while his words kept on ringing into his ears. Nandini knew how difficult it was for him to bear something like this for dadi and so did the others. Cabir nodded at Nandini as she slowly kept her other hand on his shoulder only to be jerked back brutally.

Nandini: ouch...

Nandini said in pain when Dhruv held her from falling.

Cabir: Manik.... What r u doing??

Manik didn't reply to him neither did he turn back to faced Nandini. She looked at him confused and slowly called out.

Nandini: Manik don't worry dadi will-

Manik: Don't...

Manik immediately stopped her from talking and turned towards her with red eyes filled with tears and somewhat anger.

Manik: Don't u dare start all ur fake drama again. Don't show as if u care for her.

Nandini: Manik what are u saying... I obviously care for Dadi, why is that even a question?

Manik gave her a fake laugh as he said in a tone full of hatred.

Manik: Care.... If u would hv cared na, then u wouldn't hv given her the wrong medicines. I clearly remember it was u who gave her the medicines before we left.

Nandini heard him completely shocked and looked up at him in disbelief.

Nandini: What!

Manik: Nandini Moorthy, The perfectionist!! Who does everything with proper accuracy, then how could u be so careless about such a sensitive thing Haan?? This wouldn't hv happened if u would hv actually cared for her. Tell me Nandini, why the hell did u keep on talking it all this time?? U must hv some reason behind it right.

Cabir: Enough... Stop it Manik!! Have u lost it?? How can u blame Nandini for this? And Nandini why r even listening to all this shit!!

Nandini looked up at Manik wiping off her tears as she took a step to move towards him when Manik held up his hand.

Manik: Don't even dare to come near me.... Go!! Just get lost.... Go away from here, I don't even wanna see ur face for now...

Saying so Manik turned his back towards her while Nandini stood there shocked and broken. Tears were flowing down her eyes as she kept on looking at his back waiting for him to turn back but he didn't.

She kept her hand over her mouth as she stopped herself from crying out loud and turned around rushing away from there!!

I know, I know... This was quite unexpected!! How was the update? I hope u all liked the date part before the big bomb that I exploded.😂😂

So guys... What exactly do u think is gonna happen now?? Will Manan still stick together as always or this could be a turn in their relationship with misunderstandings growing all around.
