Part 26:

Manik: U hv been around for so long, but i never knew u the way i saw u in the past few days. Now i know that there is a different person inside the Nandini that u show. The more lively girl, who is much much more confident, talented and smart. I wanna know about her.I wanna know, what she likes, what she doesn't. Her preferences, her dreams, her expectations from life, everything. I wanna know the real Nandini under the working head that u put on.

He saw her expression but still it was blank when she finally looked down and picked up her glass and said,

Nandini: Ohk....I'll tell u whatever u wanna know!

Manik smiled to his broadest at it, which Nandini saw and giggled.
Nandini: Its like u hv won an award or something.

Manik: This is not less than any achievement for me. I hv said it before, u being urself with me is what i want.

Nandini smiled at him and then said,
Nandini: What do u wanna know??

Manik: Ohk so lets start with ur.... Hobby??

Nandini: Mus---
She stopped at it lost in her thoughts while manik patiently waited for her answer.

Manik: Nandini...

Nandini: Umn.. Reading!!

Manik: Wow thats nice..... And what about ur favorite festival.

And the list continued, they talked and talked and talked for a long time. During the entire conversation Manik kept on asking her something or the other which she​ he answered with enthusiasm. He made sure not to ask anything about her past, as he didn't want her to shut herself from him again.

They had an amazing time, telling each other a few stories about themselves, enjoying the food, and not to forget Manik's constant flirting.

After about two hours, they decided to move back to the room. Manik again picked her up in his arms, and this time it felt different to both of them. There was no awkwardness, no hesitation. As he picked her up, she wrapped her arms securely around his neck. His closeness didn't make her shiver, instead it gave her the warmth which she always wanted.

They moved out of the restaurant, again joined by the constant gaze of the passers by. They had almost reached the reception, when his phone started ringing in his pocket. Manik made Nandini sit on the couch and took out his phone to see Dadi calling, so he excused himself for a minute.

As he went away Nandini turned towards the other side to see a cute 3year old boy sitting along with his mother. The lady was had a big baby bump which the little boy was caressing and talking to his coming sibling. Nandini smiled looking at his cuteness when a man walked to them, probably his father and said,
Man: They say they don't hv any spare room.
Lady: Plz ask them to arrange na.... I don't think i will be able to search for more hotels... I m really tired now..

Nandini saw at her tired face as the man talked to the manager trying to convince him for a room just for the night. The manager straightly denied them as the hotel was full. After a few minutes of listening to the conversation Nandini called the little boy towards herself and said something to him. The boy smiled at her and then ran towards his father and pulled his hand to grab his attention

Boy: Dadda... We got room....

Man: Vaibhav don't joke... Let me talk!!

Boy: No dadda.... Wo aunty ne bola.... Wo meko room dengi...

The man turned towards nandini as the boy pointed at her. As the man walked forward, manik came back and said,

Manik: Shall we??

Nandini: Umn... Manik actually!!

Man: Excuse me...

Nandini: Ohh yes!!

Man: Are u actually checking out of the hotel??

But before Nandini could say anything, Manik turned to look at her,
Manik: What?? Why does he mean by checking out?? Nandini r u fine?

Nandini: Manik manik... Relax!! I m all good. (to the man)Sorry sir, if u could plz excuse us for a minute.

The man simply nodded at her and Nandini made manik sit next to her on the couch.
Manik: Nandini what's wrong?? Are u sure u r fine?

Nandini: Manik... I m absolutely fine. I just wanted to ask u something.

Manik: What?

Nandini: Can i... Can I share ur room with u tonight??

Manik: Huh!!... Room... Why?? I mean sure, u can... But what happened?
Manik asked totally confused about why she is asking so.

Nandini told him what happened and Manik smiled at her.
Nandini: What?? Why r u smiling?

Manik didn't say anything to her and simply got up he moved to the manager and talked to him about something, he then turned towards the man who hugged him once and within minutes he was back with Nandini. Without saying anything he just picked her up in his arms and started moving towards the lift.

Nandini looked back towards the couple, when the lady mouthed a thank u at her. Nandini gave her a beautiful smile as she wrapped her arms around Manik's neck.

As they reached up, Manik entered Nandini's room and said,
Manik: I hadn't used my room much yet, so I gave them mine.

Nandini didn't say anything to it while Manik made her sit on the bed.

He moved her bag closer towards her and then moved out of the room for sometime so that Nandini could change. Soon he was back in as he helped her move towards the washroom. He left her there knowing she can atleast stand a bit now while he changed himself in the room.

A few minutes later they were sitting comfortably on the bed wearing their night wears.

While Nandini was busy checking her dairy for the next few days, Manik was finding it hard to look away from her. She looked damn cute in that mickey mouse black T shirt of hers and shorts.

As Nandini kept her dairy aside Manik asked,
Manik: Nandini.... I won't ever be able to forget this day as I found so many new things about u today. But i didn't get one thing!!

Nandini smiled at his words and asked what, to which he again placed the question which always disturbed him.

Manik: Why didn't u ever show this side of urs ever before? Why did u need to hide it under that professional cover?

Nandini: Manik i didn't plan to hide this ever. Its just that u were my boss so i behaved that way around u. A boss doesn't need to know about what his ps is personally, what she feels. But now u r my friend and so its ur right as well as duty to know what is going on in my life professionally as well as personally.

Manik smiled at her answer and his heart boomed at the word 'right', yes he had a right on her and finally she said it.

Manik: So what do u wanna do now...

Nandini: I can do anything but sleep. I m so tired of sleeping now!

Manik: Umn... How about a movie with some ice cream or cold coffee?

Nandini: Cold coffee...
Nandini said with a shine in her eyes making Manik laugh.

Manik: Ohk so which movie do u wanna watch.

Nandini: U choose... I hv no idea about any movies. I hardly hv got tym for them.

Manik thought for a minute and then suggested,
Manik: How about 'Yeh jawani h deewani'?

Nandini: Ohk... As u say.

The scene an hour later, gave an immense amount of peace to Manik's heart. Both of them were sitting on the bed with the laptop over Manik's lap. While Nandini rested her head on his shoulder hving all her concentration on the movie. Their cold coffee was already finished but still as her hair blew over his face, Manik felt like to drown in them.

Just 1 week, had removed that wall of awkwardness that was between them. Nandini had found a friend in someone after a long time, even though her heart wanted him to be more. While Manik already knew that she was the one.

They were having an amazing time with each other as they continued talking and teasing each other all throughout the movie. Soon the movie got over and Nandini said,

Nandini: U should sleep now... I hv been resting all day, not u.

Manik: Yeah... I guess u r right...

They cleared the bed together after which Manik picked up pillow and moved towards the couch.

Nandini: What do u think u r doing??

Manik: Umn.. Sleeping!!

Nandini: Shut up Manik... The bed is big enough for the two of us! See i hv lready prepared it.
Nandini said pointing towards the wall of pillows she has made on the bed.

Manik: Nandini its ohk! I-

Nandini: Manik... Stop all this yr.. I m tired now i need to sleep.

Saying so Nandini lied down, while Manik smiled at her cuteness and moved to the other side of the bed. He turned towards her to see her also facing his side.

Nandini: Thank u Manik.... After a really long time I enjoyed so much.

Manik: My pleasure sweetheart😉😉... Thank u for trusting me.

Nandini: I know I can trust u even with my life manik...

Manik: And just to spill out the beans.... It was my first date ever and I think it will be the most memorable one too...

Nandini: First??

Manik: Yeah!

Nandini: Well i m lucky then to be the first date of ur life... But i really couldn't hv guessed it coz the arrangements u made were very beautiful and...

Manik: And??

Nandini: Umn... Romantic

Manik smiled at it, as he could see Nandini's blush even in the darkness of the room.

Manik: I love ur blush. And i love it even more coz its bcoz of Me.

Though he said it very slowly, but still Nandini heard it and looked straight into his eyes.

Nandini: I too love it when u make me blush. Its something, which is the first for me. I never blushed bcoz of anyone ever before.

Manik: M glad.... It really makes u look even more beautiful.

Nandini: Thank u... Good night Manik...

Manik: Good night Nandini!!

With this Nandini closed her eyes while Manik continued looking at her face for a long time. He didn't realise when he fell asleep.

Nandini's pov:
Shit.... I LIKE MANIK!! I like him a way too much. All this while I kept on terming my feelings as infatuation, but now I know its much much more than that.

Now i know why, even after his monster mode on i never left his side. Why I never skipped any meeting with him. Why I did everything he could hv ever wished. All this while, i was finding ways to be with him... To be with him always!! Work was just a cover, my heart wanted him.

And I being a fool never understood this. My normal infatuation which started when I joined work had grown and grown with every passing day and I never realised it. How could I ??

Ayiappa now everything is up to u. I can see that he too feels something for me, but I don't know whats that. Plz plz plz ayiappa, make everything alright.
I don't want any complications with Manik. Plz ayiappa....

I don't know what I m going to do now, but this time I won't step back. I will be what I m in front of him. After such a long time, today i m feeling so so happy, and I don't want this to go away.

I opened up to him today, and this feels amazing. To hv someone who knows u well, what can be better than that. I know I can't tell him those Two things about me. But I hv left that truth a long way back in my past and now it has nothing to do with me. I won't push him away, just bcoz of it..... No, i won't. I won't hurt him as well as myself for something which was mine in the past.

All I know is that I like him and from now, this chapter of my life will go as per him. If he likes me too, then I'll confess it to him and if he doesn't then I'll be what I was. I totally professional secretary. Yes, thats the right thing to do. I can't put my expectations and hopes on him to get happiness, that will make me selfish. But if his happiness also lies here, then i won't push him away this time.

Manik's pov:
This was just the beginning Nandini. This trip is going to be an amazing one for u. I promise that I won't let that smile fade away from ur face. As that is the only thing which gives me happiness. My happiness lies in u Nandini. I know u feel for me too but u hvn't realised it yet but I'll make u fall for me anyhow...

The next morning Manik woke up due to the sun rays falling over his face. He moved his neck to the side in irritation when his face got shelter in something soft. He unknowingly inhaled the sweet fragrance. When Nandini too stirred due to the movement. She opened her eyes to see what disturbed her sleep and that made it the best day of her life.

As she moved her face Manik too opened up his eyes to find his face in her hair as Nandini's head was on his left shoulder. Manik's arm was wrapped around her completely as she too was hugging his stomach tightly. Their legs curdled together while both of them opened their eyes and looked at each other.

Yes it was the best morning for them and it could be clearly seen in their eyes. Nandini broke their eye lock when she felt Manik's free right hand on her cheek. As he caressed her face and moved a few hair locks behind her eyes.

He slowly moved forward and kissed her forehead making her close her eyes. The kiss was blissful and she couldn't hv wish for anything else.
Manik: Good morning Nandini....

Nandini looked up at him again to see the intensity and sincerity in his eyes as she whispered,
Nandini: Good morning Manik!!

Just then Nandini realised their position and immediately moved out of his arms and sat up. Manik was startled by her sudden movement as he too got up and moved a bit away.

Manik: Umn... I m sorry.. I didn't realise how I shifted towards u.. I didn't-

Nandini: Relax Manik... U don't need to apologize, it wasn't ur fault.

Manik looked up at her to confirm that she was not feeling bad, and saw a slight blush on her face while her gaze was fixed downwards. His heart jumped in happiness seeing that blush and he knew they were totally fine.
