Hey! I haven't looked at this in a while. Probably should look at it again.

Anyways, I had Sections last Saturday. My team got second so we're not going to state tonight but I haven't had practice all week so that's been nice. 2 of my teammates are competing at state individual on Saturday night. So that will be fun to watch.

On Tuesday I went record shopping with one of my friends because we had the day off school. And it was so warm out. It should never be 55 and sunny in Minnesota in February. But I can't believe someone actually wanted to go record shopping with me. I don't know why he would because I get so absorbed in the albums that I don't acknowledge anyone else's existence, but I got Deep Purple's Machine Head, Billy Joel's The Stranger, and Pat Benatar's Crimes of Passion. And we got donuts after and they were really good.

My friends talked me into auditioning for varsity orchestra next year. Most 10th graders don't get in and since I'm a violinist there is a lot of competition. And I need to put together a solo and I chose the easiest one that would still show skill and I still can't play it. But I'm going to have to learn it by March 17th.

But he's this super crazy good violist/violinist. And he goes to different schools around the country and plays with middle school and high school orchestras.

I GET TO PLAY WITH HIM TOMORROW!! He's performing with 3 of the 5th grade orchestras at the different elementary schools, the 8th grade orchestra, my 9th grade orchestra, and the high school's varsity and symphonic orchestra.
It's basically going to be performed as a rock concert with movement and it's going to be loud and he's going to solo on his violin/viola hybrid electric thing called a viper that he invented. And the dress code is jeans and a t-shirt, so I'm wearing my AC/DC Back in Black shirt.
We rehearsed today during school so I got to miss a bunch of class and he's so cool! The 8th grade orchestra is playing 3 songs with the 9th grade orchestra and they're really bad. Like, don't understand how to find a tempo bad. I guess 9th grade just has to over power them... it'll sound better.

Over the last week I've started listening to a lot of Metallica. It's been great. I can say I've listened to the entirety of Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, and The Black Album. They're really good. And I have just been in a very metal mood lately.

Wow, I just said a lot. Maybe I'll actually start doing stuff in here more often.
