Percy's POV just for his birthday

My birthday was never something I widely celebrated, it was right after the end of camp and it's not like I had many school friends to invite either way. However this year Chiron decided to let camp run a bit later meaning my 18th birthday was about to be one one of the best days of my life.

__SKIPPING THROUGH TIME__

"Happy birthday to you!!" The group of all my friends finished singing, and I laughed as I went to blow out the candles on the cake they had set in front of me, except Leo beat me to it instead.

"Sorry man, the temptation was too great." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes and chuckled as I scanned the group gathered in the Poseidon cabin once again.

We had the seven, Nico, Tyson, a few of Annabeth's siblings, the Stoll brothers, and even Clarisse was here.

"Happy birthday Perce." Annabeth whispered as she kissed my cheek, handing me a piece of cake (coloured bright blue of course)

"Thank you," I kissed her forehead lightly in return.

"Alright gift time!" Connor Stoll exclaimed.

"We literally just started eating." Jason stared at him

Connor rolled his eyes exasperatedly. "It's called multitasking people, now let's go I really want Percy to see what we got him." He winked at me before heading over to the corner stacked with some gift boxes.

"Should I be concerned?" I leaned over and whispered to Annabeth, who seemed to consider this for a moment before stating.

"Yes."

The gifts were to say... interesting at the very least. I received a new handmade shield from Tyson, engraved with a brand new set of pictures. A pocketknife with a few extra demigod essentials that had my name carved into it from Piper, two nerf guns from Leo because, quote on quote "you're never too old", a few other things and at last a premier edition authentic aqua man suit from the Stolls. "Do you love it? You know you love it."

Now with the bundle of wrapping paper and empty boxes surrounding me I turned to Annabeth.

"Where my gift?" I poked her side teasingly. She rolled her eyes.

"You're lucky I even showed up okay."
I raised an eye brow at her and she sighed.

"Here." She tossed me a small rectangular package that was shaped vaguely like a book.

"What is it?" I asked suspiciously.

"You'll have to open it and see." She shrugged.
I ripped open the wrapping paper to find... a book.

"Mr... Mr..." I squinted trying to read the title, my dyslexia turning the letters into alphabet soup.

"Mr. Mercedes, it's by Stephen King. This is one of my favourites of his."

"Oh, well thank you." I replied leaning in for a kiss. She held up her hand to stop me and laughed.

"You've never been a good lier." She chuckled, looking at my confused expression she said. "Open it up."

Still befuddled I opened up the front cover, the stuff spine creaking as it was opened for the first time. Inside lay two tickets, but not just any two tickets. Two luxury box tickets to the upcoming opening game for the Giants. My jaw fell open.

"How did you get these!" I exclaimed.

"One of my dad's coworkers had extra and of course my dad has no time nor interest for football so, happy birthday!"

"Okay this deserves a kiss." I leaned over and kissed her full on, feeling happier than ever.

"Save it for the bedroom." Clarisse called out. Annabeth and I blushed bright red.

"Technically, this is my bedroom." I said.

"Yeah well at least try to keep your pants on until we all leave, then you both have permission to go as wild as you want."
Annabeth rolled her eyes although her cheeks were flaming red and I has a feeling mine weren't looking any different.

____ANOTHER ONE_____

Annabeth and I were taking a walk along the beach, everything seemed so peaceful with the ocean completely still and the setting sun casting a pinkish tinge across the expanse of sky,

"Hey Perce." Annabeth stopped walking, I came to a halt and turned around.

"What's up?" I asked grabbing both of her hands and pulling her closer.

"I just needed to get you alone for a moment." She glanced back towards my cabin where lights streamed out of the windows and music from the dance party Leo had organized could still be heard.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why?"

"To do this." She grabbed my face and pulled me down kissing me passionately. I circled my arms around her waist and pulled her close to my body, her arms coming to circle around my neck. One hand placed on her back and the other tangled in her hair, I lost myself in the heat of the moment. Her lips were soft as they moved against mine and her hands so delicate as she slid them down to rest on my chest. The kiss turned more intense and I picked her up so her feet left the ground, and she wrapped her legs around my waist.
We broke apart, still clinging to each other.

"I love you." I whispered as I pushed a stray piece of hair behind her ear. She smiled for a second before her expression turned sad.

"Hey what's wrong." I gently lowered her down and she continued to stare off at the ocean.

"So many of our friends died on this day, and I just...all the memories."

"I know," I mumbled, I kissed her forehead. "I miss them too." We hugged each other tightly for a while, not speaking just hugging and breathing in each other's presence. I slowly pulled back, and lifted her chin to gently kiss her.
"Hey let's not focus on the bad things right now, here I got you this." I pulled a medium sized rectangular box out of my pocket, placing it in one of her hands.

(A/N and for all of you, no it is not a wedding ring, yes I'm dreadfully sorry)

She looked up at me confused.

"It's not just my birthday today." I reminded her. She slowly smiled, reaching up to kiss me again, and then opening the box. Inside lay a shining new dagger, the celestial bronze faintly glowing in the dusk light.

"I know you lost your other one in... well down there." I nodded towards the ground and continued on before the haunting memories of that place ruined the moment. "And I mean you haven't found a new replacement yet so..." I scratched the back of my neck, waiting for her reaction.

She lifted up the the dagger examining the side, her face lit up as she saw the engraving on the side "Wisegirl".

"Percy?" She breathed out.

"Yeah?"

"How did you fit this in your pocket?"
I stared at her as she started to chuckle.

"It's a serious question!" She exclaimed. "I mean my pockets can't even fit a pencil."

I continued to stare at her while she laughed. She started to calm down and I grabbed her by the waist tossing her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes with ease.

"PERCY!" She squealed. "PUT ME DOWN!" 

"Hmm tempting." I mused as I walked closer and closer to the docks.

"PUT ME DOWN!" She struggled to get out of my grip but she was laughing too.

"Alright, alright fine." I sighed placing her back down, right at the edge of the docks, she didn't seem to notice where we were yet.

"Thank you." She straightened out her shirt.

"No problem." I replied. "My lady." And then I pushed her into the lake. She went completely under with a splash and came up spluttering, as I doubled over laughing.

"PERSEUS JACKSON!!" She screamed.
"YOU JERK!"

I backed up and took a running start before cannon balling into the water, nailing her another huge wave of water. As I came up she was glaring at me while treading water. I swam closer and wrapped my arms around her waist, the water supporting us. I pulled  her in for another kiss and all the tension in her went out as she wrapped her arms around me.

"Happy birthday Seaweed Brain." She whispered as we broke apart, our foreheads resting together.

"Happy anniversary Wisegirl."

A/N ALRIGHT, HOPE THAT WAS OKAY AND ONCE AGAIN HAPPY BIRTHDAY PERCY!!!! IN REAL LIFE HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE TURNING 22  BUT I MADE HIM 18 HERE SO... BUT OH MY GOD OH MY GOD MY BABY IS TURNING 22. HE'S TURNING 22!! I REMEMBER WHEN HE WAS JUST AN ADORABLE CLUELESS 12 YEAR OLD DORK AND NOW HE'S SO MUCH OLDER AND I JUST HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS!
