Chapter 75 - Do It Again

"Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug! Wooh!"

Jasper threw his hands up when he completely chugged his fifth of vodka, smashing the bottle against the concrete outside and shaking his head, his curls following as well. The football team had been performing some crazy drinking tricks, even taking shots and chasing it with lighter alcohol, and for them, the party had just started.

Jasper was not done, as he reached for the blunt between Zyder's fingers, inhaling a long cloud of smoke before bursting into coughs, the football team laughing as they all smacked his back, pushing him around as if he had won. One thing was clear—Jasper was completely out of his mind. He had been drinking whatever alcohol had been thrown at him, had danced with any girl that asked, made-out with any girl that made advances to him and on top of that, he had lost his shirt hours.

He was dripped in sweat, his sneakers were covered in sticky alcohol but he didn't care; all he wanted to spend this night with his team as if it would never end. He had mixed way too many drinks that it was a shock he was still standing, but the hadn't felt this free in weeks. The best part was that Kane was nowhere in sight and he was glad since he wasn't sure what he would do if Kane was in his face at the moment.

It was clear that Jay's words were stuck in people's minds but nobody asked him about it. He wondered if it was because he was way too drunk or if they were frightened of him, but it didn't come up in a conversation throughout the night. The only time his night almost stopped was when he felt a pair of hands clasp around his wrist and pull him out of a dancing crowd. He struggled against it since his entire body weight seemed to be moving before he could guide it, and before he knew, it he was outside of the home.

"Let me get you home."

He snorted, stumbling at his feet as he leaned forward. "Fuck off Ally."

"I'm serious," Ally reached for him but he smacked her hand away, and in the process, he used way too much force and accidentally threw himself onto the ground. That only made him burst into giggles, placing his palm over his mouth. Ally, on the other hand, did it funny at all. "See? You're way too drunk Jasper. Please, let me get you home."

"Home?" He snickered, glancing towards the flashing lights from the party inside before facing her again. "What home?"

"Stop messing with me—"

"My fatheeer...." he slurred his words, barely able to maintain his balance but when Ally attempted to help him, he placed a hand in front of her in order to stop her without using too much force. "He kicked me...meee...out."

It took a moment for her to fully comprehend what that meant. Jasper's father was barely around but whenever she did meet him, once thing was clear; he absolutely loved his son. He thought Jasper to be royal, treating him as if he was already a King and helping him whenever he needed it. Jasper could practically ask to fly to Europe for a whole week and his father would not hesitate to give him his black credit card.

But ever since the incident that happened, she hadn't seen his father around much. Mostly because they broke up right after, but she had never thought that their relationship had changed. He never seemed to be one to kick that would eventually kick out Jasper, especially not since he practically lived for the praise of his son.

Jasper burst into cackles, lifting his eyes towards the tiny stars and widening his arms. "I'm finally free."

"Then come stay at mine for a little while."

"Hmm," Jasper finally met her gaze again, walking slowly past her and stepping in a short circle behind her before finally leaning forward and raising an eyebrow. He didn't speak for a moment, his droopy red eyes deeply stalking Ally's gaze for any sort of lust he could use. But there wasn't any, simply worry and fright. "Nah," he snorted, "I'm fine."

"Jasper, please—"

"And don't you gooo....and tell your loser, stupid, imbécile of a brother." He leaned his finger forward and poked her forehead, a bit hard than he intended to since she had to step backwards to maintain her balance.

Ally sighed, staring at his shirtless body and remembering how it felt to have them wrapped around her. Jasper was always calm and collected, as if he knew chance was always on his side even in the dullest moment. But she had never seen him this way, nor even this drunk. He seemed to have lost his sanity, doing anything he could to act as if his father's sudden betrayal didn't hurt him but Ally knew that deep down, there was a burning ache that Jasper could not get rid of.

She tightened her grip around her jacket, exhaling a long sigh before she sternly said, "I'm not leaving here without you."

"Oooh Ally, Ally..." Jasper snickered, staring at her before starting to slowly step away. "If I ever loved you, maybe I'd listen to that."

She inhaled a sharp gasp before her eyebrows furrowed; she had always respected him even after finding out the truth about him. Regardless of what he had done, she had forced herself to be comfortable in being friends after he begged her for it. But having it throw back onto her face simply because he was drunk was not at all fair.

"How dare you say that to me? I'm only trying to help you."

"Noooo....hmm, you poor thing..." he rolled his eyes and widened his arms, "you're trying to fuck me."

"I'm not trying to—"

"Shh, relax." He breathed quietly, barely above a whisper although she heard it and her heart thumped. She felt as if all the air had rose into her lungs and were stuck there, his face lowering and sending her the eyes he knew she could not resist or had never resisted before. "You want me, you always have. But you can't stand that my lovers have to be packing a good....hmm....seven inches?"

"How can you—"

"Guess how long Kane's is?" he beamed, his lips strengthening into a long delusional smile. After a few seconds, seeing the horror rush across her face, he continued, "It's about—"

There was suddenly a smack.

It was only when he stumbled sideways and his cheek began to sting that he realized what happened. When he turned back, her palm was still raised and he noticed the discolouration slowly grow into pink. That was the pain he wanted, what he relished. He wanted to feel the hurt physically, something to make him feel the ache that he could not release. Something to make him finally feel the words his father had told him in hopes to let go of them. To get rid of the dirt he felt on his flesh that he could not wash off with as much water as he used.

"Do it again," he whispered.

Ally's eyes widened, seeing the colour in Jasper's eyes suddenly fade. They seemed to have darkened, not the ones of a man she once loved. To be honest, he was unrecognizable. "You're sick, you need help—"

"I said," he reached for her hand, his fingers tightly gripping her tiny wrist, "do it again."

Instantly, she attempted to release his grasp but it only caused him to squeeze even more. "Let go of me," she winced, noticing that his strength was not ceasing. "You're hurting me."

"Just do it again—!"

"Jasper!"

Both of them turned when they heard a familiar voice, and Zyder golden hair came to view. He was not drunk but his eyes were a bright burgundy. He stepped towards them with a joint at the corner of his lip, the sweat from his black shirt starting to dry. He eyed them both for a moment, noticing that Jasper instinctively released his grasp from Ally's wrist.

He knew there was something wrong with Jasper; he was behaving differently. But the night was not to dwell on emotional wounds; it was to act as if they weren't there.

He wrapped an arm around Jasper's shoulders and began pulling him towards the home. "We're waiting for you to take shots," he laughed.

Before he was able to disappear behind the entrance, Ally screamed, "Zyder!" When he glanced backwards, she mouthed, "Thank you."

He nodded his head and entered the party.
