I let Naruto drag me to Ichiraku's ramen. Part of me wanted to go with him and talk, like we did when we were younger; a team. Then the other half of me wanted to run and hide from this world. The man I considered my grandpa is gone... Dead. Just like my parents are.
Naruto was rambling on and on about the types of ramen Ichiraku's had in store for me. The way he explained it to me; like a child who didn't know a thing of what he was saying, hurt me a bit. I felt bad that I was keeping my identity from him, but it was for the better good. If he knew the new me.. He would only run.
I was in the bingo book named as 'The Innocent Reaper'. My old self being marked as dead only made things easier for me, I didn't have to worry about people I knew going out to look for me. The name that branded me was on spot, I was the innocent little girl who went around killing others. Well I did at least while I was with the Akatsuki... I could still possibly kill a few people around the village, but I would need some--.
"Ji-chan! Ji-chan?!"
I jumped in fright, snapping my head up at Naruto. "Y-Yes, Naruto?" I asked softly.
He grinned. "What kind of ramen do you want? There's Miso, um- oh this one's one of my favorite! It's--!" He started.
"Pork." I said, suddenly cutting him off.
Before I could slap my hand over my mouth I had said it. I glanced over at Naruto nervously, please tell me he didn't hear that. If my covers blown, I'm going to have to kill him.
"Yeah, dattebayo! They have pork here to, do you want to try that one?" He asked, forgetting what I said easily.
I sighed in relief, then smiled. "Sure, why not." I said, walking under the curtain to take my seat.
Naruto followed my lead and grinned at the owner who was behind the stove. "Hey, old man!" Naruto greeted, taking a seat.
The old man turned around with a wrinkled smile on his face. "Hello, Naruto. I see you brought a beautiful lady here with you today." He mused, smiling even wider. "By any chance, could she be your girlfriend?"
Naruto coughed suddenly, "N-No! I just bumped into her awhile ago." He shouted, glowing a bright red.
I laughed softly, "Naruto's correct, he was simply being a gentleman taking me out to eat." I said, internally blushing just like Naruto.
The old man laughed, "Oh, I'm sorry then for the assumption. Why don't I give you your first bowl free? On me?" He asked, already beginning to make the ramen.
I grinned. "That'd be great!" I exclaimed, fist pumping the air a bit.
"Haha, I bet I can eat faster than you!" He grinned, teasingly.
I frowned. "I highly doubt that, Naruto. Why don't we just see for ourselves." I urged on, glancing to the side as my plate of ramen appeared.
I thanked the old man and faced Naruto, smirking slightly. Then a thought hit me.
Couldn't I just kill him?
The craving for blood filled me, I smirked even wider. If I'm correct, Naruto has quite a bit of money over his head... it was almost too tempting. I reached over to right thigh in my weapon pouch, sneaking my hand around a kunai.
Kill him...
Do it...
I smirked evilly, glancing down at the floor. Nows my chance, I won't get another like this. I'll kill him infront of the old man if I have to, it's worth it. I pulled the kunai out and glanced over at Naruto, he was staring at his ramen dreamily.
I put on an innocent looking facade, and purposely dropped my chopsticks on the floor to his left. "O-Oh! My chopsticks! Would you mind picking them up for me, please!" I asked, gasping in shock.
Naruto's eyes widened. "Sure, I got it, Ji-chan!" He exclaimed, reaching down to pick them up. His back was facing me.
I pulled out the kunai and held it up, ready to stab Naruto.
Sayonara, Na-ru-to-kun. I smirked evilly, bringing my kunai down.
"Naruto!"
I gasped and snapped my gaze to the left. Damn!
"W-Who are you and what are you doing!?"
I brought my hand to my side, smiling innocently. "Oh, me? I was just killing a disgusting bug that was on the Naruto's back." I giggled, wiping my hand on the blade. "Got it!"
Ino looked at me warily, but brushed me aside. "O-Oh... I see." She said, eyeing me.
I turned around and began to eat my soup, trying to get Ino to stop looking at me. As I was slurping the food, I glared harshly at soup.
I was so close... so close to getting my hands on that money... I snarled at the thought of Ino. She's going to pay, just watch.
I'll get you back Ino, one way or another.
