Drew's POV

"Cleo!" I said the next morning when I woke up and she wasn't next to me in bed. I looked over at the night table next to me. There was a note.

Come to the roof for a surprise

I bolted towards the door and up the steps to the roof top deck of the hotel we were staying in. There she was sitting at table with a breakfast for two waiting for me. "Babe you didn't have to do this! You should still be sleeping." I said looking at her. She just smiled at me and bite down on a strawberry.

"Drewski...I just did this as a small thank you for the past month in a half. I know it hasn't been easy and it's been scary for us both. But the fact that you stuck by me and have taken such good care of me. Honestly I couldn't ask for more in a boyfriend. Thank you for proving me wrong." Cleo said as she cheersed to me with her mamosa. 

"Cleo I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend, you changed me for the better. I can't even tell you how much I love you princess. Thank you for making this so easy. Remember C if we go down, we go down together." I laughed quoting the song I had yet to play for her.

"Hmmm I smell a hit." she said as she leaned in to kiss me. I kissed her back.

"I taste one too." I smirked at her. If only these moments weren't so few and far between. 

"Sorry to ruin the moment fam but we have a problem that only Cleo can "unfuck" up. If you know what I mean." Alex sighed as I he poured his flask into his coffee cup.

"Oh god what could've happened?" I said with my head in my hands.

"We um...we double booked." Alex said horrified.

"Who would be that stupid!" I yelled at him backing Cleo laugh. Everyone was staring at me. "Why are you all staring at me?" I said.

"Um baby...you did." Cleo said pulling up the approvals for the tour on her macbook. "Someone forgot to check the dates though. So it's not entirely your fault. Just give me 20 minutes." Cleo said as she walked back towards our hotel room. So much for her health coming first. My girl was a workoholic which was something I admired. Especially considering she could fix my fuck ups.

"Thank god we are getting her back. Our tour promotions are a mess and the ticket sales are over selling. People have duplicate seats and the vip meet and greets are out of control!" Alex said as he took a sip of his coffee. "Always gotta make it Irish." he laughed as he sat down in Cleo's seat. "I helped with the pancakes you know. Tori helped Cleo with the eggs. Looks like we finally found our better halves bro." Alex said proudly.

"We most definitely did man." I said as Cleo ran back up with her laptop. 

"Ok babe I have good and bad news." she sighed. 

"Bad news first." I sighed.

"I can't cancel the shows. But I have found a way for you to do a double header." she said.

"I'm listening." I said back.

"Ok so the first show is at 6 right? and the next show isn't till 11:30 so if we take the chopper will get there just in time for you till kill it. How does that sound?" she said.

"Like I want to propose to you, but I feel like now might not be the right time." I said to her getting on one knee. She started to laugh as she pulled me up for a kiss.

"A kiss will do for now. Let's move boys!" she said as she we all bolted back to the hotel to pack up for check out and head to the jet for the first show. My girl was about to pull off the impossible. We all made it on the plane in record time. And we're already sound checking by 4. 

"The song man?" Alex said.

"Tonight is the night." I said back to him.

"Finally you've had that song ready for months." he said back to me.

"I know man but it's a big deal. She's the only girl I've ever wrote a song directly about." I said as I pulled up the background tracks for Alex to put into our mix. 

"Well then this is it. You're committed as fuck man...and that's not a bad thing." Alex said smiling at me. I smiled back as Tori ran in.

"Alright Cleo says lights out..it's show time boys. And Drew....she needs to tell you something." Tori laughed as she and Alex went backstage. I found Cleo back in her corner with her headset.

"Wow you look beautiful." I said as I stared at her.

"Come here Drew." she said as she pulled me close and kissed me. "Not that you need the luck remember." she said joking about the time I said that to her.

"Babe I need it from you trust me." I laughed as I ran back behind the stage to meet up with Alex. I listened for Cleo's cue.

"In 3-2-1! Get Lit!" she screamed.

"Hello Mystery Land..We are the Chainsmokers and this is our new song Paris!" I screamed as Alex started to spin the track. "We were staying in Paris to get away from you parents and I thought wow, if I could take this in a shot right now,  I don't think that we could work this out. Out on the terrace, I don't know if it's fair but I thought how could I let you fall by yourself. While I'm wasted with someone else." I sang as the chorus kicked in. I looked towards the side and saw Cleo smiling. She knew this was her song. "If we go down, we go down together. They'll say you do do anything. They'll say that I was clever. If we go down, we go down together. Will get away with everything, let's show them we are better." I sang.

"Everyone this song is very close to our Drewski's heart because it's about his lady." Alex yelled in the middle of the beat breakdown. I turned bright red as they panned the camera to Cleo on the side of the stage. "Come on Drew sing it to her!" Alex yelled getting everyone in the audience to chant it now.

"Ok! Ok! Cleo Patricks come on out!" I said as she walked out shaking.

"Drew" she said to me.

"Just look at me." I whispered as I started to sing again. "We were staying in Paris to get get away from your parents...which by the way her parents love me. Hey Karen!" I said making Cleo laugh as I shouted out her mom in the middle of the song. "You look so proud standing with a frown and cigarette. Posting pictures of yourself on the internet. Out on the terrace. We breathe in the air of this small town. On our own cutting grass for the thrill of it. Getting drunk on the past we were livin in." I said as I sang the chorus again. As the song came to a close we cut the track and I ended it accapella. "Will show them we are better." I said as I pulled her into my arms and kissed the top of her head. "Thank you." I said as she smiled at me and bolted off the stage. Once that show was over we took to the chopper for the second one. I was exhausted and so was Alex. 

"Baby...that was incredible." Cleo said as I pulled her into my lap in the helicopter. We all passed out for the hour flight. Once we got there it was back to sound check, 10 minutes for food and another nap. Time to kill the next show.
