Billie's P.O.V:
The small boy shivered in my arms and I quickened my pace a little, wanting to get home as quickly as possible.
I cautiously looked around as we were now in the bad part of town. This part of town was a crime hotspot. Everything imaginable bad happened here, from shoplifting to rape...
I shuddered a little at the thought and picked up my pace yet again.
The small boy whimpered and shifted a little in my arms, obviously trying to get more comfortable. His end position being snuggled up against my chest.
A small smile crept to my lips. He sure was cute... before I could stop myself, I leant over and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.
He stirred at the sign of affection but didn't wake. I was thankful for this as my cheeks were burning bright red.
I was suddenly ripped out of my thought by the sight of a shady looking man leaning against a lamp post just ahead of me.
The guy looked to be in his mid forties and from the lustful glint in his eye I could clearly tell that he was eyeing the helpless boy in my arms.
He was wearing a grubby white tshirt and black skinny jeans and he was casually smoking a joint.
Oh great... more drugs...
I gulped. I was going to have to walk past him to get back to my place... there was no other way...
After taking a deep breath, I continued walking as if I hadn't seen the dodgy-looking man.
Everything seemed to be going fine until I was just in front of the man.
"Nice looking one you've got there." He slurred, obviously drunk and nodded at the boy in my arms.
I narrowed my eyes, starting to feel protective over the small boy. I'd only been with him for about 10 minutes but it already felt like I'd known him for years.
"What's it to you?" I growled and kept walking.
"Maybe you'd like to hand him over for the night.." the man smirked, pulling a wad of cash out of his pocket.
A low, protective growl escaped my lips.
"He's off limits." I snarled protectively before I could stop myself.
The man rolled his eyes and shoved the cash back in his pocket before sending me a scowl and walking off.
The boy whimpered again and pressed his cheek against my chest.
"Shhh... it's ok buddy." I whispered softly. "You're ok. Nothing's gonna hurt you while I'm here. I promise."
After I'd said those words, he relaxed almost instantly.
I felt a great sense of relief wash over me as I arrived back at my house.
After unlocking the door, I laid the boy on the couch and went into the kitchen to get him a glass of water, desperately hoping that he would wake up soon...
Jimmy's P.O.V:
I groaned and slowly opened my eyes, blinking a few times to help my eyes adjust to the bright light.
When my eyes had finally adjusted to the gloom, I saw that I was in what looked to be a living room. How did I get here? The last thing I remembered was scoring heroin in that alley...
I didn't have much time to think about it however as the next thing I knew, I heard footsteps coming into the room.
My breath quickened as I looked around for something to defend myself with. I eventually settled on the television remote.
I narrowed my eyes as a short guy came into the room carrying a glass of water. He looked around my age, maybe a year older, but not much more than that.
He grinned when he saw me, revealing a row of crooked teeth. Dare I say it? He looked kind of cute...
He had fluffy black hair, the kind you just want to run your fingers through... and he had the most mesmerising green eyes I'd ever seen...
Concentrate Jimmy... I told myself angrily.
"Glad to see you're awake." The guy smiled.
My heart skipped a beat. Damn he was cute... he was extremely cute...
"What's it to you?" I growled, narrowing my eyes.
The stranger ignored my question and sat down next to me, handing me the glass of water.
I stared at the glass in my hand. I was extremely thirsty but at the same time I was also worried that this guy might've laced the water with some sort of poison or something.
"Don't worry buddy." He smiled reassuringly. "It's just water."
I bit my lip and slowly raised the glass to my lips, finishing its contents in three large gulps.
"Why am I here?" I asked curiously, handing the glass back to him.
"I found you in an alley after you'd overdosed on heroin. I couldn't just leave you so I brought you here."
I nodded slowly as tears stung my eyes.
The stranger gently rubbed my back.
"My name's Billie..." he whispered reassuringly.
"J-Jimmy..." I replied, my voice quivering a little with fear.
"Hey it's alright Jimmy..." Billie whispered softly. "I won't hurt you. Tell me what happened..."
I slowly looked up at him. There was genuine concern in his eyes. Not hate like I normally saw. I weirdly felt like I could trust this man...
So I started to explain everything that had happened to me today. From when I'd woken up this morning, right until I'd passed out in the alley.
Billie just stared at me after I'd finished, disbelief clearly written all over his face.
He probably thought I was insane... just some druggy making all this up due to hallucinations... to be honest, I was beginning to question my sanity myself...
"I can prove it to you if you want..." I whispered quietly. Almost too quietly for him to hear me.
"Go on then." He replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Follow me." I whispered.
I was going to take him to Will's place. Hopefully seeing that Will was older than me would make him believe me...
Because if it didn't, I didn't know what I was going to do...
