"Where are you going? We have matters to discuss". If I allow her adorable eyes to capture me here I'm gonna be late. This meeting is very important. Not more than her, but she'll always be here.

"I know but this meeting is urgent. I'll be back soon". I don't know what she want us to discuss, but I know something is bothering her. I leaned down and peck her on the lips. So sweet.

"I'm in a hurry. I'll be back soon". I quickly walked to the door. I need to give her the code.

Let me test her skills.

"Remember, I love you". I said it in a way that if she go back into her head she probably think about it.

After I left the meeting I've decided to call Leon.

"What's up?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Does something always have to be up whenever I call you?" He chuckle. I smile because something is up indeed.

"Sometimes. I'm still at the office. Is it something important?"

"Yes it is. Meet me at Polo's".

"Polo's? What are you- oh are you planning-".

"Leon just shut up and meet me at Polo's". He chuckled.

"My little boy is becoming a man". Oh boy.

"I'm wrapping things up I'll be there soon".

"Yeah".

I've been sitting here in my car for like an hour. That's not wrapping things up Leon. Let me call him back.

"I'm right behind you". He said before hanging up. I look in my rear view mirror. He'd just pulled up behind me.

I got out of my car. I activated the alarm.

"So..". He shove his hands into his pockets. "Why do you want to come here?" I'm sure he have an idea why.

"I've been thinking for a while...I want to marry Akeilia. I need her to be my wife. I want her to be mine only".

"Very good idea my friend. Soo why do you need me here?"

"Why did you need me when you were planning on marrying Monique?"

"Just kidding man let's go".

We crossed the road and walked into Polo's. It's a huge jewelry store. The best in town. The guy who owned the place name is Polo. I'm not sure if that's a nickname or his real name. I see couples here buying and some trying to decide what to buy.

We looked through a few in a show case. Many different styles are here. But I don't like any of them.

"What about that one?" Leon pointed at the gold ring encrusted with a huge diamond. I groaned.

"Too common. None of these look like her". I sigh. It feels good thinking of her as my wife. I just know she's the one. I wanna wait for the perfect moment.

"How would you know?" Leon asked squinting his eyes looking down at them.

Then it came to me.

"What about one that is custom-made?" He raised an eyebrow and look at me.

"What do you have in mind?" I smile having the perfect idea.

"Let me get Polo". He told me smiling before walking off.

"What was that?" The music stopped. Michael and I pull away. He take his crutches moving through the crowd with me.

Everyone talking all at once. I can't understand what they're saying.

"Come on baby hang in there". Leon. My heart started to beat faster. Fearful of what could be happening.

"Excuse me!" Realizing that I'm the owner of this place, they parted letting us through.

"Monique". I ran to her. Leon is trying to hold her up.

"Akeilia get my car ready". He throw his car key to me. "I think this one's for real". He told me. He has this happy but fearful look in his eyes. Not everyone survives child birth.

I look at the ground underneath Monique. There's a small pool of water there. Also broken pieces of glass.

I look at Monique face. She look as if she's undergoing a lot of pain.

"Go Akeilia!" She yelled glaring at me.

I quickly went outside, and got the car ready. Leon is almost at the car trying not to let Monique fall. Monique is making painful sounds, gripping unto Leon.

Is this what I'm gonna go through?

"Oh my god! Leon it's coming. I can feel it at my- Ahhh!"

"Try not to push ok? Just try to walk a little faster. Your gonna be ok". My employees and some others are outside looking.

I tried to swallow the fear I'm feeling. I wish I wasn't witnessing this.

Michael is already in the car. I wonder how he feels about this?

I love the feeling of the night breeze on my skin. The night is so...peaceful. She has to be blessed for her baby to be born on such a peaceful night.

Michael is going with them. I have some things to deal with at the company first.

"Don't take too long ok?" He told me at the window before placing his hand on my- our. little bump. I leaned down then kiss him. "I love you". He whispered to me afterwards our short kiss. I look into his beautiful eyes before I nod.

"I won't be long". I smile. He nod. I turn around.

"Akeilia". I look back at him before I opened the door for Leon. He's not yet at the car though.

"Let Lenoy bring you to the hospital". My eyes widen. Surprised by his words.

"I just. want you to be safe". After a couple seconds of registering what he'd just told me, I couldn't help but to leaned down once again kissing him hard.

Why?

Because leaving me knowing that Lenoy is in there means that he trust me. I really appreciate it. But trusting Lenoy with me also means that he doesn't hate Lenoy. Maybe. Or maybe it's because bodyguards are outside.

I sigh mentally.

I believe it's better he go with Leon. Yes I suggested that he does without argument because he cannot protect me like this. He knows that. Besides, I wouldn't want him to risk his life.

Leon is well trained. He's capable of saving both Michael and Monique, while Michael can still manage. If I'm in danger I'll also be worried about protecting him because of his state while he wants to protect me. It just might cause both of our lives.

I was thinking of having the bodyguards protecting me instead, but since he suggested I'll allow Lenoy. He probably don't trust the guards. Does that means he trust Lenoy?

I pulled away from him. I can see it in his eyes that he yearns for more. I do too. But that's for another time.

Monique is breathing heavily through her mouth. Why'd Leon park so far?

"Ahhhhhh!"

"Don't push babe. Hold on. Just try to move a little faster".

"Don't you think I'll move faster if i could Leon! Shut the hell up!"

I cover my mouth as a little giggle escaped.

I open the back door for Monique. Leon helped Monique inside before he ran to the driver's side and took off. Not before I peck Michael on the lips.

I went back into the building. I thanked everyone for coming as they leave. After the place cleared up I saw Lenoy sitting on a chair sipping champagne.

I walked over to him.

He didn't look at me. This was one of the main reason..the only reason actually, why I stayed back. To apologise to him. I know that he already knew how to take care of things back here.

He know that I'm now engaged. I hope it isn't killing him as much as I think it is.

It must be ironic to him that I was just trying to avoid Michael and now I'm engaged to him.

He sigh.

"You don't have to apologise if that's what your here for". I feel bad that I was trying to use him. Not for anything else because we were the ones who agreed to a no commitment relationship at first. But I definitely wasn't fair to him tonight.

"But. I am sorry. I'm sorry I didn't think of how you'd feel".

"Akeilia I already told you what was on my mind. I did you wrong by keeping Michael's secret from you. You went through pain. That was worst than what you did. I'm moving on with my life. So as of now on, don't feel sorry for me because you love someone else and not me, don't think of what you shouldn't or should've done to me. I'm ok. As of now your nothing to me". Oh.

"Than my boss until I leave this place". Oh ok. I have nothing to say to that.

He look up at me. I know he's trying to hide his true feelings. But to him it doesn't matter if he say it or not. I'm in love with Michael and there's no place in that category for him. He's right. He needs to focus on his life now and forget about me.

Somehow I feel as if the love he feels for me is the one I feel for Michael. How will he ever get over that.

He chuckle.

"Don't feel sorry for me". He stand and put his glass on the table. He frown a bit. "Why aren't you at the hospital with your friend?"

"I came here to apologise to you". He sigh. "Your a good woman, but I'm gonna have to kill you". My eyes widen after a few seconds, and my heart escalates.

"W-what?"

He stepped closer and I stepped back.

"Lenoy?"

"Someone tried to kill you and Michael Akeilia. That someone can be anyone. Don't trust anyone. I'm sorry if I frightened you".

I've never felt unsafe around lenoy since the day I met him until now.

He look away. "I know I scared you. I just want you to be careful". I think I'll drive to the hospital myself.

"Stop widening your eyes so much". I blinked before stepping back.

"I'm uh. leaving now".

"Let me take you".

"Uh no just stay here and get things ready for tomorrow". I turn around walking towards the door as fast as I could.

"Sorry I scared you". I heard him say.

"My car key". I said to myself. I turn around. He's already taking up champagne glasses.

I don't remember where I put my keys.

"Lenoy um. Have you seen my car key?"

"No. I haven't". He stopped to say. He put the glasses back on the table. He sigh before stepping off.

"Akeilia please. I wasn't trying to scare you. I only want you to be careful”. Oh yes you wanted to scare me.

“Let me drive you to the hospital". I look into his eyes. I don't see sincerity nor dishonesty. I only see exhaustion.

I hope what people say about seeing truth in eyes are correct. I don't work with that. I work with the action of the person. That tells more than anything.

"Ok". I know in myself that he isn't that type of person though. He was with me many times alone before. Why now when he know that many would hunt him if he tries to harm me. Especially Michael. He wouldn't even make it out here alive because the guards outside would've killed him. They're looking at us right now.

"Just don't do that again".

"I know".

Monique's in labour. Cool right?
