Jason IV

Jason coughed awkwardly as he glanced at Percy, who was hugging his legs, staring blankly at his knees, and tightly clutching the wound on his shoulder.

The only sound in the infirmary was from the clock on the wall, ticking away the seconds…

When are they coming?Jason cursed. He had hope calling his elder sister may help bring Percy out from his… condition.

Right on cue, there was a big bang of the door, and Thalia came marching in, along with Annabeth, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo and Nico. (They walked in of course. Except for Leo.)

“They insisted to tag along.” Thalia shrugged. Jason nodded. Thalia looked at Percy.

“Hey, Kelp Head?” she asked. Percy didn’t give any response to show that he was paying attention, but Thalia continued. “Remember anything about the man who hurt you?” Percy’s eyes widened a little at ‘the man’ but still gave no response. Thalia’s eyebrows furrowed.

“Well, at least you can give me something, Percy!” Thalia yelled, causing him to flinch. “You’re just sitting there on your sorry butt and we’re here worrying about the man who hurt you!”

Percy looked up at Thalia, his sea-green eyes flaring with fear.

Piper threw her hands up in exasperation. “Oh, Percy, can you just at least, look happy?” However it was to no avail for Percy, who once again, was consumed in his own thoughts.

“There’s something wrong. He’s mentioned about this guy… I don’t know who it is. He won’t tell me.” Jason explained, trying to get the pissed-off Thalia to calmness.

“Well, at least give some freaking response!” Thalia shouted at Percy, who once again, head snapped up and looked at her with those wide, frightened eyes. Suddenly, Percy he backed up at the bed, while tightly clenching his bandaged shoulder, wincing at the pain. He was hyperventilating. His eyes darted everywhere, as if expecting someone to pop out from nowhere.

Everyone was as equally scared at his sudden behavior, as Jason’s heart skipped a beat in panic.

“Percy, please…” Thalia was lost. She didn’t know how to comfort him. She stretched out a hand as if to settle him down, but was too afraid to touch him.

“Get away.” Percy’s voice was trembling with fear. “Don’t touch me.”

“Percy, it’s only us!” Annabeth ran to Percy’s side. Percy’s face seemed to loosen a bit at her presence, but his eyes were still filled with the same dread and horror.

“I’m so scared, Annabeth.”

“What’s going on?” the door slammed open as Will and his sibling flooded into the room.

Get out! Go away!” Percy’s voice was shaking so badly that Jason was trying hard not to hug him. Will was equally shocked at the commotion but he tried peace talking to Percy.

“Calm down, Perce. It’s just me. Will Solace, remember?”

Percy was backing up even further if possible, and he was using his injured arm to shelter himself.

“No! Don’t touch me!” tears were running down his eyes, and his body was trembling furiously.

“Percy!” Will pulled Annabeth from Percy’s grip. “Let me go! Let me go!”

“Stay away from her!” The ground started to shake. It was Percy. Anger and fury were burning madly in his eyes, but he was still shaking in terror.

“Get back.” Will ordered. The whole camp has basically ran into the infirmary to see what was all the fuss about, and things were getting a bit messy. Kayla (also a child of Apollo) was trying to pin down Percy, who was still screaming and kicking.

“Hold him still!” Will yelled at his siblings, as Kayla was desperately trying, and failing, to hold down Percy. Will ran to a nearby cupboard and took out a syringe and walked to the pinned down Percy, eyes widened in terror and shock, as Will gave Percy the sedative.

Percy’s flailing arms and legs slowed down as his eyes started to droop, feeling drowsy. He hopelessly tried to fight the sedative, forcing his eyes to open, but only seeing blurry images. Soon, Percy stopped flailing about, as his eyes got too heavy for him to fight against.

“Keep…” Percy whispered, suddenly grabbing Will’s arm. Will jumped in shock. “Keep her safe.” With that, Percy fell unconscious, and Will sighed deeply, leaning against the wall. Kayla and her siblings let out a huge sigh of relief as they loosened their strong grip, and followed the leaving crowd.

“Why…” Annabeth’s eyes were still focused at the unconscious Percy, eyebrows creased in his sleep. “Why is he acting like this? I’ve never… He wasn’t like this a while ago.”

“Probably it was because of the event that happened last night.” Will explained. “I’m guessing that it traumatized him into fear, whatever it was.”

“So he thought he was being attacked? By that man?” Jason volunteered. Will nodded.

“That’s why he was trying to protect himself. But…” Will started to say something, but stopped as a thought crossed his mind.

“What? But what?” Annabeth urged him. “What did he say before he fell unconscious?” Will shook his head and smiled pitifully.

“Nothing, Annabeth. He didn’t say anything important.”

Annabeth looked at Will suspiciously. Will smiled at her innocently, nodded slightly and walked out of the infirmary, leaving a heavy atmosphere hanging in the cabin.

"Is he gonna be alright?" Hazel asked. Piper gave out a heavy sigh as she held on tightly onto a small blue rose, and put it in the empty vase on the bedside table gently. Frank muttered a small prayer and Leo and stared at Percy's unconscious body with a thoughtful expression. Jason was standing beside the bed, an angry flare burning in his eyes.

Annabeth held onto Percy's hand and intertwined her fingers into his.

"Please get better, Percy. Please."

Percy was curled up in the corner of the dark empty room, his face buried into his knees, his right arm clutching them tightly; left arm falling down limply at his side. The room was pitch black, and Percy couldn’t see anything. In the other corner of the room, a pair of bright red eyes were staring at him. They seemed to be reflecting with such an evil glint that words cannot even describe their darkness. Percy trembled under their presence and dared not to look up

"What's the matter, little demigod?" The metallic voice came from the eyes that were staring at Percy. "Too much already? Pity. I was just only starting to have some fun.”

Percy twitched slightly as if trying to hide from the shadow that was now looming over him.

“Go away.” Percy whimpered, his voice barely audible.

The room was silent. And the only sound that could be heard was Percy’s uneven breathing and the rapid pounding of his heart in his chest.

“Please. Go away.”
