(5) I tried to reverse it, but now...

Herobrine walked through the forest, making no sound as he stepped.

'So, how exactly are you going to find Entity?' Herobrine asked.

'I'm going to trace him.'

'That doesn't exactly answer my question.'

Herobrine chuckled. 'Alright. I'm going to trace his magic. I'll be able to know if he teleported and where he teleported to.'

'We can do that?'

'Well, you probably can't.'

'What's that supposed to mean?' Herobrine asked indignatly.

'You're too nice to track someone aren't you? You've never done it.'

'I didn't know I could.'

'Oh please. How did you find our brother when he first betrayed us?'

'I.... tracked him.'

'Exactly.'

Herobrine had reached the clearing where he had met Entity not too long ago. Entity was nowhere to be seen. In the middle of the clearing, the strange object still rested. Herobrine walked up to and and reached down to pick it up.

'Are you sure that's safe?' the voice cautioned him.

Herobrine sighed. 'Yes, I'm sure. Now stop backseat driving.'

He picked up the object, turning it over in his hands and examining it. 'He made this.'

'What?'

'Entity. He made this. It was part of his trap.' Herobrine looked around the clearing, obviously searching for something.

'What are you doing now?'

Herobrine ignored him. He started walking in the direction that they came from, then turned and walked in another direction. He then growled in frustration and threw the object away.

'What was that for?'

'He didn't teleport. He didn't use any magic at all. Well, apart from that object.'

'So you can't find him.

'Well...'

'Let me take control. I might be able to find something.'

'I don't think-'

'Remember our deal.'

Herobrine sighed. 'Fine.' He passed the control to Herobrine.

Herobrine's sight became normal and he took a look around the clearing. He noticed a dark patch of grass, as if the grass had been stained by blood. He ignored the sudden sick feeling in his stomach. He also saw a lump of grass that was sticking up as if it had be kicked. Herobrine walked over to it and bent down. There was a footprint right next to it.

"I've found where he went" Herobrine muttered.

'How did you do that?'

'It's called looking. You should try it some time.' He spotted another footprint further down.

Herobrine followed the trail of footprints for several minutes as it twisted in the forest. The footprints became harder and harder to find until finally, they were all gone.

"I've lost the trail," Herobrine said, sighing.

'Let me look. There might be some magic here.'

Herobrine handed over control. Herobrine wandered a little bit around the area.

'Yep. Nothing here.'

'So what now?'

'We go back to the castle.' Herobrine started the trek back to their castle. 'Hey, I have a question.'

'Just the one?'

'Why do you talk out loud instead of in our mind?'

'I don't like hearing myself think,' Herobrine answered as if it was obvious.

'But you like hearing yourself speak? If anyone saw you, they'd think you were nuts!'

Herobrine heard his double chuckle darkly. 'Wouldn't be the first time.'

Suddenly, Herobrine stopped. He had reached the edge of the forest and their castle loomed over them. There was a figure standing just at the bottom of the castle steps.

'What? What is it?' Herobrine looked through Herobrine's eyes. He saw the figure and instantly recognised him. 'Entity,' he breathed.

Herobrine started growling.

Entity saw Herobrine and put up his hands. "Now, before you kill me-'

Herobrine didn't give him the chance. He ran at Entity, pulling a diamond sword out of nowhere.

"Wait!" Entity yelped.

'Stop!' Herobrine yelled.

Herobrine swung his sword at Entity, aiming for his chest. Entity dodged, narrowly missing the blade.

"It wasn't my fault!" he said, trying to talk sence into his friend.

Herobrine swung again, this time at Entity's head. "I DON'T CARE!" he yelled.

'DON'T HURT HIM!' Herobrine yelled inside his head.

Entity realised how angry Herobrine was. Fear flickered across his face and he teleported away, leaving Herobrine's blade to cut through air.

Herobrine was breathing heavily, more from anger than annoyance, but he smiled. "Now we can track him." He put away his sword and felt the air in front of him, feeling the magic. He then teleported, using Entity's magic as a guide. They landed in the middle of the forest. No one was there.

'He must have run and then teleported again. We won't find him.'

Herobrine was silent.

'Why did you try to stop me?' Herobrine asked, teleporting away to their castle.

'He said it wasn't his fault.'

Herobrine laughed. 'And you believe it?'

'Well...'

'We just ran at him with the intention to kill him. He said the first thing that came to his mind to make us stop.'

'But what if he was telling the truth?

'He's not.'

'But-'

'Trust me on this Herobrine. He's lying. It is his fault that we died. He held the sword. He put it in our heart. If it wasn't his fault, why did he run?'

'Maybe he ran because you were about to kill him!'

'Only a guilty person runs. You know that right?'

Herobrine sighed. 'I know.'

'Good.'

Meanwhile, Entity ran inside his castle, slamming the door behind him. He bent over his knees, gasping for breath.

'I told you. I told you this would happen, and I was right.' Entity's voice echoed in his head.

'I... I don't believe it.'

'It just happened! He tried to kill us! And he almost succeeded!'

Entity put his hand to his side. The skin stung when he touched it and when he pulled away his hand, it had a thin line of blood on it.

'Do you see now? He tried to kill us.'

Entity sighed and lowered his hand. 'I won't hurt him.'

'What?'

'I won't hurt him.'

'Why not?'

'He's my friend.'

'HE TRIED TO KILL US!'

"I DON'T CARE!" Entity yelled out loud. "HE'S STILL MY FRIEND! I'm not going to hurt him.

Entity heard his double growl. 'Fine. Suit yourself.
