(2) Then he came along
Okay, so there's a fairly simple code for this book. Just remember: Bold is Bad.
So, if someone is speaking like this, they are bad.
Entity = Good
Entity = Bad
Herobrine = Good
Herobrine = Bad
All clear? Great. Let's move on.
---------------------
Entity and Herobrine have something they call 'Multiple Personality Disorder'. It pretty much means that they are two different people in one body. They both have a good side and an evil side. Their good sides are mostly in control, but every now and then, the evil side breaks loose. Their evil sides hate each other's guts, so Entity is building a castle where he can go if either his or Herobrine's evil side gets out of control.
At the moment, he was at Herobrine's castle, sitting at the kitchen table and drawing on a spare piece of paper. He heard the unmistakable sounds of someone teleporting. Turning, he saw Herobrine at the door. "You okay?" he asked.
"Yeah. He just caught me off guard." Herobrine sat down next to Entity. "What are you drawing?"
"A village."
Herobrine looked at the picture. It was a very realistic drawing of a village that had a large house at the end of a central street, in the middle of the drawing. "Steve's village?" Herobrine asked, recognising it.
"Yep."
Herobrine nodded. "Nice." He folded his arms on the table and rested his chin on them. There was silence between the two friends, interrupted only by the scratching of Entity's pencil against the paper.
"Screw it, I'm going to terrorise someone."
"Okay. Anyone particular in mind?" Entity asked.
His friend stood up and stretched. "Not yet. Maybe a house in the middle of the forest, probably a small mob base. I'll be back in a few hours." With that, he teleported away.
Entity also stood up. He placed his drawing on a high shelf where it wouldn't get crumpled and teleported in a flash of red particles. He reappeared in front of a large castle made out of obsidian with endstone brick highlights. It was several floors tall and had a central tower that soared high into the air. Smiling, Entity opened the large dark wooden door of his castle. He went up several flights of stairs to the very top of the tallest tower. He looked out at the surrounding forest. The sea was sparkling in the distance.
'Imagine it all burnt to the ground.'
Entity frowned as his evil side spoke in his head. 'Shut up.'
'We could do it you know. Me and you. We have the power.'
'Yeah, there's no way I'm teaming up with you.'
'And yet you will team up with him? With Herobrine?'
'He's helped me more than you have.'
'He'll let you down at one point you know.'
'We're friends. We don't let each other down. You just don't like him because he taught me how to control you.'
Entity heard his double sneer. 'You don't control me.'
'Then why are you not in control right now?'
Silence followed his statement and Entity smiled. He rarely manged to score a point in their battles of words.
'Whatever. Just get back to building your precious castle. Herobrine will let you down soon enough. And I'll be here when he does.'
Entity felt the presence of his evil side fade. Turning, he left the room and went down to the bottom of the tower. Here were several unfinished pieces of furniture and a partly furnished room. He got to work, fastening different pieces of wood together and arranging it in the room.
"Hey, are you planning on coming back to my place tonight or are you going to stay at your place?" Herobrine's voice asked in Entity's mind.
"I might stay at my place if it's okay with you," Entity answered, speaking into Herobrine's mind.
"Yeah, that's fine. See you tomorrow?"
"See you tomorrow."
Entity kept working on the room and the room above it. The sun slowly set and the moon rose into the night sky. Entity stretched his back and yawned. He left his work and went down the stairs, easily navigating his way in the castle. He walked into his bedroom, a large but not massive room with a double bed, a desk and a few other things. He flopped onto his bed and pulled up the sheets, falling fast asleep in a matter of minutes.
~Early morning~
Entity woke up with a splitting headache. He clutched at his head in an attempt to lessen the pain caused by his evil side.
"You're... not... getting... out..." he said through clenched teeth.
'Oh, but I am.'
"No... you're... not..."
'Too late.'
Entity suddenly felt himself in a large blank space. He saw the world from far away, almost as if he was looking through a telescope. He moved his head, but the view didn't change. He wasn't in control of his body.
Entity examined his hands and looked around the room. He laughed, a cold, empty laugh. "It feels good to be back in control. Now, how about we have a little fun?" he said, his voice echoing in the room.
Entity shivered. 'What are you going to do?'
"Oh, nothing much. Let's go and say hello to Herobrine, shall we?"
The multiple personality Herobrine and Entity idea came from anithenetherqueen, so thankyou!
