Days passed, Shivaay and Anika's 'friendship' develops. They both are happy with each others company especially Shivaay. There, Oberois too happy with Shivaay's changes. Unlike last time where he always put up a sad face, nowadays he look so happy and involve more with family members. While others happy, Omkara and Rudra got curious on his sudden change. They tried to cross question Shivaay many times, but somehow Shivaay manage to escape giving some lame excuses.

Shivaay and Anika mostly communicate through chats and sometimes call. They hardly meet each other. They are happy, but certain thoughts made Shivaay insecure. Doesn't insecurity only exist between couples and families? But sometimes it will exist between friends too. But anyhow, Shivaay didn't accept Anika as his friend. For him, she will be always his lady love, his better half. Although they chat every day, Shivaay felt that Anika is not spending enough time for him. He can't expect Anika to volunteerely come to him and ask for a hangout. She is still trying to get over from the past incidents. He know he's going too fast, but he can't help either.

Shivaay called Anika. He looked nervous because he's going to call out Anika for dinner. The reply he got from the other side, made him upset. Anika denied to go for dinner with Shivaay. Her reason made Shivaay more upset, where she said that she already promised a dinner with Sanjay beforehand. Your girlfriend, okay ex friend is going on a dinner with a guy who proposed her which later she rejected the proposal. What Shivaay should do now other than being jealous? Already Anika's and Sanjay's relationship doesn't set well with shivaay, now on top of that, this dinner date only made him more jealous or can say more insecure. "will by chance Anika will say yes to Sanjay?, is Sanjay still trying to impress Anika?", Shivaay thought. "what if Sanjay successfully wooed Anika?

All these negative thoughts made Shivaay to worry more. Grabbing his car key, Shivaay march towards his parking garage. He thought to follow them. But suddenly Shivaay made a U turn and drive back to Oberoi Mansion. He decided to have faith on Anika. He should trust her. He don't want to act as jerk like last time. This behavior of him can create more problem to their already messed up relationship. He also don't want to make her regret for giving him second chance by showing his cheap attitude.

Shivaay tried to calm his mind and sleep. But he couldn't so he scroll into social media for sometime. There Anika posted some pictures of her with Sanjay where Sanjay almost glued to Anika. This angered Shivaay more. He couldn't identify between jealousy and insecurity.

The next day evening, Shivaay went to meet Anika in her office. All his plan vanished while his face went pale as soon as he entered her cabin. Now, the one and only enemy for Shivaay is Sanjay, he fixed. Instead of Anika, he saw Sanjay sitting on Anika's chair. Then, Anika entered her cabin holding some designer books. She was surprised to see Shivaay there. Then, they seated for some talks with an uninterested Shivaay. After almost twenty minutes, Sanjay announced his depature made Shivaay to breathe in relief but only to be breathed out the smoke of jealousy. As adding oil to the already fuming fire, Sanjay hugged Anika before leaving and this surely didn't went well with Shivaay. As Sanjay went out of their sight, Shivaay invite Anika for a evening coffee.

Have a look at Shivaay's face, Anika clearly can tell that he is not normal. Something's is bothering him, so Anika nodded yes and followed him silently. Reaching a nearby coffee shop, they ordered their respective drinks. Anika waited for Shivaay to open up first, but Shivaay was too engrossed in his thoughts. Anika fake coughed to bring him back.

Ani : You want to tell me anything Shivaay?

Shiv : ahhmm, no.. nothing. Just thought to have a coffee with you.

Ani : I don't think so. See if you have any problem just tell me before it burst into more bigger problem.

Shiv : So that was Sanjay right?

Ani : Yeah, we just met.

Shiv : Yeah,.. i mean he's the guy you went with for dinner...

Ani : He.. (before she reply, Shivaay cut her off)

Shiv : Ignoring me?

Ani : See, wait.. ( she took a deep breathe) there is nothing to ignore Shivaay. I promised him to have dinner together so i went. That's it.

Shiv : You could have accept mine instead of him.

Ani : Shivaay,.. won't you think before you talk? See, i already promised him last week itself. How can i suddenly say no to him and join you? He will be upset. And how do i know that you are planning a dinner with me?

Shiv : I felt as if you are ignoring me.

Ani : There is nothing to ignore shivaay. He approached me first so of course I'll go with him. If you did first, then I'll definitely come with you. From where does this ignorance came?

Shiv : Even in your office just now, you gave him more importance. You cared less about me.

Ani : it's not like that. He came to meet me after so long. We can meet whenever and wherever we want. But in his case, it's not like that. Sanjay hardly spend time with me, i should treat him well and i know you'll wait for me so i thought to talk with you later. There is nothing to be ignored.

Shivaay's didn't speak anything, his eyes glued to his coffee cup, Anika noticed this and asked him again.

Ani : Anything else?

Shivaay nodded in no.

Ani : Ask whatever you want. Don't bottle up everything in your mind.

Shiv : This might hurt you, I'm sorry but i don't like Sanjay being so close with you. Like you guys hug and..

Ani : Friends do hug Shivaay. It's normal. ( Anika sensed that Shivaay is jealous)

Shiv : I mean i got to know that he once proposed you and you rejected. You know... his intention won't be the same as last time. It will no more a friendly hug atleast for Sanjay.

Ani : I know Sanjay very well. He's a true gentleman, he is not like that.

Shiv : I'm a man Anika and i know their mentality.

Ani : I know man's mentality too Shivaay. I can easily identify a man from far itself whether he is approaching me with good intention or bad intention. You're one of the example. If you have this uneasiness towards Sanjay i can't help you. The problem is not with him but you... Look Shivaay, just because we are in good terms now, you can't take control over me. When all the people i trusted left me, only Chandna, her husband Aman and Sanjay stood beside me. They helped me to achieve my dreams and they are still doing it without expecting anything. In return i should be always thankful and grateful for them. So just keep your stupid assumptions aside. You are no one to judge my friends. They are my friends unlike yours, backstabbers.

Shiv : You told me the same about Ashwin... But what he did?

Ani : I agree... it was my mistake. Even after he tried to kidnap me, i still talked with him. I gave him another chance but he didn't use it well... Now I'm thinking the same, whether i did right or wrong by giving you another chance.

This is unexpected. Shivaay didn't expect Anika to think in such way. He doesn't want Anika to regret on her decision. At the same time, Anika understood that more than jealous, Shivaay is feeling insecure now. She also realized that she has been harsh towards Shivaay. She couldn't keep calm either, his stupid assumption always get into her nerves. None speak anything, silence took over them, later, they call it a day.

Another day, another night...

Shivaay couldn't sleep that night. He is missing her voice terribly. It has been two days after their little argument in coffee shop, neither Shivaay or Anika talk nor text. Both are equally upset with each other. It was ten o'clock. Shivaay thought to call Anika.

She didn't answer his call. Shivaay keep on trying her number. Finally on his sixth attempt, she answered the call. Before Shivaay could speak anything, Anika yell from the other side.

Ani : What you want now??? Call once, twice or even thrice, if the person didn't answer your call, then understand yourself that they are not available. Don't annoy them by keep on calling. You spoiled my sleep. Now, what you want, tell me fast?

Shivaay got disheartened on Anika's sudden outburst. Here he is badly missing her,when he take initiative to talk, all he got in return was screams and scoldings. Mouthing a 'sorry', Shivaay hung up the call. He remember how last time Anika jerked his hand when he try to hold her hand. Every actions of her only increases his insecurities. His thoughts were broken by his ringing phone. Anika called him, that too a video call. Shivaay immediately plaster a smile on his face and attend the call, not before setting his hair.

Shiv : Hi

Ani : What Hi? Hello mister, you already spoiled my beautiful sleep and then being so good you hung up the call saying sorry?

Shiv : I thought.. you are still awake. I'm sorry.

Ani : I'm sorry too Shivaay. I had some problem with my clients so i couldn't sleep yesterday. I vented out all my anger on you. Sorry.

Shiv : Hey it's okay. No problem. Go to sleep now, we can talk tomorrow.

Ani : It's okay, I'm not sleepy anymore. Let's talk.

Shivaay knew she's lying. Her dropping eyes are one of the proof. Shivaay felt happy. It's good see that she too taking some effort to mend their relationship. Despite her tiredness, she choose to talk with him so that he won't feel bad. He smilingly admired her. Her messy hair, eyes half closed, 'Hello Kitty' eye mask, she looks too cute. Shivaay took as many screenshots as he want without her knowledge. They kept on talking on random things not realizing the time.

After Finishing all her kitchen works, Radha make move towards her room. That's when she noticed that Anika's room light is still on. She walk to Anika's room to have a look on her. Opening her door slowly, Radha saw Anika is talking to someone, as soon as Anika saw Radha, she immediately ended her call and put her phone under her duvet. Her act made Radha suspicious. She sat beside Anika and caressed her hair lovingly.

Radha : you haven't sleep yet?

Ani : Not sleepy maa. So was talking with Chandna (she lied).

Radha : Then, why you cut the call? I also wanted to talk to her. How is she and her baby?

Ani : Both are fine. She hung up suddenly saying she's sleepy. You know right her mood swings?

Radha : Yeah, some more it's not good for her health to stay awake till late night. It's okay I'll talk with her tomorrow. You too sleep Anu, it's too late now.

Ani : Hmm, goodnight Maa.

Radha : Good night.

Radha left the room after planting a kiss on Anika's forehead. Anika breathed out in relief as soon as Radha left her room. Anika again thanked her savior Chandna for helping her and soon drifted into deep slumber thinking of hers and Shivaay's conversation.

Simultaneously, Radha is not at all convinced with Anika's answer. If it is really Chandna, why she have to stammer while answering, she thought. She found it strange, something is not right somewhere. She decided to look after this matter very soon, later she too drifted into deep slumber.
