Another casual day in California came with the sun shining bright and the roads jammed with traffic. A graceful young lady named Lucia wandered the streets in her home town without a thought of what she could come across. She wasn't bothered by the people who looked her up and down, as they were confused by the combination of her bright yellow dress and snug brown boots, in autumn. As she slowly strolled down the dirty streets of town, she came across a short, stubby man who looked to be in his late 50's. He stopped dead in front of Lucia and looked at her as though he'd come face to face with a meat-eating bear! She'd never had anyone give that kind of reaction towards her. After a few more seconds he scrabbled away down a thin alley to his left and out of sight. The man left Lucia in confusion and a bit of suspicion, but then she resumed walking through town.

Lucia strode along on the pathway towards 'The Mexican Sombrero', which was a popular restaurant, as she was told to meet her mother there at 6:00. However her mother was not yet at the restaurant and so she decided to wait alone outside. As this was quite an unusual and dodgy town this wasn't the best idea. This was proved by another odd man walking by Lucia but this time he was a much younger man and had a very suspicious image. Men with hoodies with hoods up and hands in their pockets generally turned out to be something along the lines of a thief. This was exactly correct in this case. He wasn't very subtle about his movements but he edged ever closer towards Lucia. He kept glancing at her and his eyes were like deep dark holes staring into her soul but she managed to turn away.
