Jia clapped her hands while grinning broadly as the presentation ended. She was really excited to visit each of the venues that Bora had selected for her wedding. She understood pretty well why her mother and brother trusted Bora with her work. She was indeed the best.
On the other side, Jimin felt anxious. He smiled awkwardly as he shifted his glance between Jia and Bora. He couldn't be enthusiastic like Jia, because he would be accompanied by his ex-girlfriend wherever they'd go and the thought alone made him feel all the varying emotions. He sighed at the feeling.
"I'm so excited about this." Jia chirped as she glanced at Jimin, who was already looking at her. She wrapped her arms around Jimin's biceps as her eyes gleamed brighter than her smile before she pecked his right cheek. The girl's excitement caused Jimin to grin genuinely for the first time that day.
"Isn't she great? I just love her." She looked at Bora while discreetly mumbling to her partner. She smiled politely looking at Bora. Jimin also cast a quick glance in the direction of the event planner who was speaking with Yoo-Jin.
But somehow Yoongi's tender gaze, which was fixed on Bora with a grin, perplexed him. He continued to observe Yoongi who didn't even blink his eyes for a second. On realizing how he was overthinking and it wasn't his business in the first place, he shrugged it off and nodded when Jia looked at him with hopeful eyes.
Currently, they all were in the conference room, discussing Jimin and Jia's wedding. Bora had just finished giving her presentation of all the locations she had shortlisted.
Everyone had given the guest list to Bora. Because Jia and Jimin had varied preferences, it took her a few days to shortlist the venues. She didn't complain, though, because she enjoyed her work. She wouldn't, however, deny that a little assistance might help her sleep better at night.
Moreover, Aera fell ill. She was forced to stay at home, and Bora felt bad to take her help while Aera was resting. She was left alone to face her own battles. It wasn't like Aera wouldn't help her. Just that Jimin's abrupt appearance in her life was unknown to her brother, Taehyung.
Bora's family had accepted Jimin in the past with all his lies when he said his mother lived in the USA and he just had his brother as his family in Korea. Everything was a lie.
Jimin felt awful to lie but he couldn't help it. He had to lie because of the situation he was in and Bora's family was too kind to believe him. Particularly Taehyung, who welcomed Jimin wholeheartedly into their lives for the sake of his sister.
After a couple of months, Taehyung and Jimin started spending more time together as if they were best friends, brushing aside the fact that Jimin was only dating his sister and that he didn't really know him.
Therefore, the betrayal didn't just break Bora but also her family. If they knew that he was back in Bora's life and that he had a new girlfriend now, they'd ask Bora to let go of her dreams and instead leave the job and join their family café.
No family has bad intentions for their loved ones, so didn't Bora's family. They cherished her greatly and didn't want her to experience those emotions all over again. Especially, her brother, who was now possessive of her. He made the decision to stop blindly trusting men in the future when it came to Bora.
Bora's life was chaotic, and the unexpected presence of a particular person only made things worse. Yet, she had little control over what was happening. Maybe one day her pain will come to an end, and she will be content. Maybe, one day!
Coming back to the meeting, it was decided that Bora would join the couple and that was how their journey began.
The first location was a little away and the ride was uncomfortable and awkward. Jimin would occasionally glance at Bora through the front mirror of the car and the latter would instantly raise her brow a little rudely which would make him gulp.
Jia, though, was oblivious to the tension-filled in the car. She would sing the song playing on the radio, kiss Jimin's cheeks or try to bond with Bora. That was how, after much struggle, they reached the location.
They went into the chapel, which was rather opulent and decent. Jia was grinning the entire time she was walking around. The other two were left standing awkwardly as she quickly hurried outside to examine the garden.
Jimin wished to speak in order to break the silence. He cast a nervous glance at Bora, who was awkwardly scanning the area. He inhaled deeply, closing his eyes to calm his heartbeat. He then exhaled slowly before opening his eyes once more and turning to face the girl.
"Why are you doing this?" He let out, watching Bora closely as he observed all of her emotions and actions.
Bora turned to face him and tsked mockingly. Jimin's intense gaze made her want to melt, but she managed to restrain herself flawlessly because the man didn't deserve any good feelings. "Excuse me! What am I doing?"
Her nasty tone caught Jimin off-guard. He didn't imagine Bora speaking rudely. She was anything but rude. Maybe people change he felt.
"Don't you feel anything? You are literally planning my wedding." With clenched teeth, he finally spoke, closing the distance as he firmly gripped Bora's arm, nearly bumping into her petite body.
Bora jerked her hand from his grasp and stepped back, feeling annoyed by the inquiry. How was that even a question for him to ask her? How dare he behave like this with her? If anyone, it was supposed to be him who must regret.
"What the hell is your problem? I'm just doing my job here. So concentrate on your wedding and let me do my work. I don't understand this, why are you giving yourself so much importance? You mean nothing to me anymore. I no longer think about you. Quit thinking whatever you are and get your facts checked before questioning me." Those words didn't just hurt Jimin, they hurt Bora too. But she couldn't let her guard down.
The man actually had the guts to commit a sin and then present himself as the victim. Bora was saddened by his actions and words, but she had to make him understand where he belonged.
"Guys! The garden is gorgeous. Nonetheless, I think we should check out a few more places." Jia yelled as she hurried back to the two with a little pout on her face. "I don't feel our guests would accommodate here." While standing next to Bora, she sighed.
Jia kept taking quick glances towards the pair, and now she could sense the intense tension building around them. "What's going on, guys? Everything all right?" She inquired worriedly when none of them spoke.
"Oh, nothing!" Bora announced calmly as she smiled. "He didn't like this place so we had a little argument."
Jia pouted somberly and stepped forward, holding Jimin's hand tenderly. Her eyes softened when she noticed Jimin staring at her blankly as if someone had pissed him off.
"Oh, baby! You should have told me. Bora is doing her job. You don't need to worry. She is trying her best to help us. I didn't like this place either. Let us go to the second location." She pecked his cheek before dragging him out of the chapel enthusiastically while Bora sighed, feeling bad for lying to the girl.
I'm sure she doesn't know anything about his past. This is gonna be tough. She already trusts me so much. I hope I don't break her trust or her heart.
