***********

It had been three days since Bora went to work. She kept her phone switched off all those days as she didn't want to talk to anyone.

The first day when she returned, she cried endlessly. She felt dirty as those harsh words came from someone she once loved wholeheartedly. She felt pathetic to still love that person even after he left her. She pitied herself because she wasn't able to move on after five long years. Instead, she had been longing to see that face while the other person had clearly moved on.

But after a day passed, she began to compose herself. She couldn't upset her family more by staying depressed all the time, because even when everyone had given up on her, her family was the only one who stayed by her side.

Finally, she took a long shower on the third day in the evening and decided to have dinner with her family.

Meanwhile, Jimin was no better than Bora. He might have said inappropriate things to her, but he didn't mean any of them. He just wanted her to hate him and move on. But he was also afraid for her to move on. And that's when he knew his feelings were f*cked up.

They had once promised never to let anyone else enter in their heart or life. But how could he blame her when he broke the promise first?

"What should I do, Kook?" Jimin asked the said boy, who was reading a book on his phone.

Jimin never understood his brother who always said he was reading a book on his favorite reading app online whenever he asked, "What are you doing?" How could someone read books on the phone?

"Kook? Look up and f*cking answer me."

Jungkook sighed after hearing the frustrated male. He placed his phone on his nightstand and poured all his attention on his brother. "You know what, you should talk with her. Ever heard of talking and not creating misunderstanding?" He emphasized the word "talking" sarcastically.

Jungkook's raised brow made Jimin gulp. The younger boy had a point there. "But I don't want—"

"—to hurt her? You have already hurt her enough so quit overthinking and over assuming things. Man up and apologize for your sins. And you better don't do anything stupid this time." Jungkook's words were stern and it caused Jimin to sigh. After all, what else could he do other than sighing when he knew Jungkook was right?

He got to his feet and looked down apologetically. "I'll go and do that."

"Where are you goi— and he's gone." Jungkook shook his head in defeat when he didn't get any response.

He stared at the closed door of his room for a minute before he got back to his reading while mumbling, "I hope he doesn't do anything stupid."

Yoongi sat in his backyard, sipping on the soju. He was trying to get in touch with Bora but it was in vain.

"Oppa, what are you thinking about?" Jia inquired happily as she entered the backyard too, sitting beside Yoongi on the chair.

On not receiving any response, her lips curved down into a frown. Jia could make out it was about Bora. She placed a hand on Yoongi's shoulder to grab his attention. "Oppa? Is everything alright? What are you thinking about?"

Yoongi didn't turn toward the worried girl. He just shook his head and let his mind wander.

"What happened to her?" Taehyung inquired worriedly when he noticed Bora behaving like a mannequin. Yoongi held her protectively in his arms as he dragged the girl, whose cheeks were stained with tears. However, she wasn't even reacting to anything. It was as if she only trusted Yoongi at the moment.

On hearing Taehyung's worried voice, his parents rushed out. Kwang-gyu let out a squeal on noticing his daughter looking dead as if her life was shattered.

Mi-kyung, on the other hand, put her palm on her mouth to not cry loudly as her eyes already began watering. "Yeobo, what happened to my daughter? Please ask this man." She whispered worriedly as she placed her hand on her husband's shoulder, letting her tears flow.

"Tae bear, who is he?" Kwang-gyu inquired politely to his son, noticing an unknown person holding his daughter.

"Hello, sir and ma'am. Can we skip this introduction for the time being?" Yoongi let out politely before shifting his attention toward Taehyung. "Can you take Bora to her room?" Taehyung quickly walked ahead and tried to hold his sister but she slapped his hand away.

Instead, Bora hugged Yoongi tightly, not letting him go. Her arms were wrapped around his waist tightly as she finally cried, resting her head on Yoongi's chest. "Shh! Sweetie, look where we are! We are at your house. No one is here. Look!"

Yoongi caressed her head lovingly but the girl refused to let him go. She shook her head and continued to hug him.

"It's okay! I'll show you her room. You can go. And—

"How can you let a stranger enter my daughter's room?" Kwang-gyu shouted at Taehyung, blocking the way.

"Eomma, take your husband to your room. Can't you see her condition? Also, see his face carefully. He will be coming here more often now. So get used to him." Taehyung's stern words left the elderly couple shocked. Getting this reaction from him was common if it was a matter of Bora. But Taehyung allowing some stranger with his dear sister was something new to them.

"Yoongi, follow me." Taehyung led the way while his parents stood there puzzled.

Once they stepped into her room, Yoongi didn't even check around but instead made Bora sit on her bed while trying to pull away from her. However, Bora fisted his shirt tightly.

Yoongi looked up at Taehyung, who sighed. The situation was normal for Taehyung since previously it had been him in Yoongi's place. Bora didn't let him go too and he had to spend months with her. The brother did feel a little jealous but he was happier with the fact that Bora finally began feeling comfortable showing her vulnerable side to someone other than her family.

"I'll leave. Please be with her till she feels better. You can do it. You'll find me in the drawing room." Saying that Taehyung closed the door behind him as he walked away.

Yoongi sat in front of Bora and cupped her cheeks, making her look at him. "Baby, what did he say?" Bora's eyes began to tear again after hearing the question. "You trust me, don't you?" She quickly nodded, earning a little smile from the male.

"He said I'm a wh*re. I'm not and I'm not using you." She tried to convince Yoongi as if he was the one to doubt her. "You believe me, right? I'm not using you. I'm being serious. I'm not even characterless. Please don't hate me. He is lying. All he did was lie. He had been lying all his life and I still believe in him. But this time he is lying. I'm nothing he said and I—"

Yoongi instantly wiped her tears before pulling her hands. "Baby! I trust you. Do you know why?" He asked politely, earning an adorable shake of her head. She looked like a cute little puppy, which was afraid of being thrown out by her owner. Her doe eyes were wide as she waited for his answer. "Because I love you wholeheartedly. I never imagined I'd confess to you in such a situation. But I do! So you don't need to convince me. Because I know how pure you are and I love you. I'd never doubt you."

Those words were enough for Bora to smile weakly. She smiled genuinely for the first time that day. She hugged Yoongi and let him mumble sweet nothings till she drifted off to sleep.

Yoongi pecked her forehead before walking out of the room. He noticed that Taehyung had already told everything to his parents as they began to apologize. Yoongi sat with them for some time, letting them know how good Bora was with her work until he eyed Taehyung that he needed to talk.

In no time, the two found themselves on a bench in the nearby park. Yoongi shared everything and Taehyung too revealed Bora's past.

Taehyung let him know that Bora fell in love with a guy from her college who came from a humble family, just like them. His father was dead while his mother was staying in the USA for a long time. The guy missed his family and so Bora introduced him to them. Soon, they began loving him and they cared for him as if he was one of them. They decided to get the young couple married after their graduation. Everyone was happy, but their happiness came with an expiry date. On his wedding day, he left Bora without any message.

If this were the only situation, Taehyung's family would have let it slide. However, Bora stopped eating and her health started to worsen. She looked like a living corpse, who was only breathing but was void of any emotions. She stopped smiling, enjoying her life, and worse, crying. It took them more than a year to get her back to normal. She soon began to smile but it appeared as if she had lost a part of her. She was living her life but wasn't enjoying it. She was smiling but her eyes looked sad.

Yoongi silently took in all the words Taehyung said. But he was left confused when Taehyung accidentally revealed the name of the guy once, "Jimin." But soon he said, "Let us not take that b*stard's name."

Yoongi was questioning if it was the same Jimin as the one who Jia was associated with. And what confused him more was Taehyung saying that Jimin came from a humble background and his mother was in the USA. Both the facts were wrong. The Jimin he knew was rich and his mother never left Korea.

However, he had also heard Jia mention that Jimin was depressed for almost two years when they met and now the whole situation made him question more. Also, Jia wasn't yet aware of Jimin's past nor did he ask Jia about her past. It wasn't like Jia's past wasn't impressive.

But every partner is curious about their loved one's past. Someone doesn't ask only if he's afraid to reveal his own life. Otherwise, no one is so secretive.

Additionally, if Jimin wasn't related to Bora then why would he s*ut shame her? He had no reason to do so as long as they weren't related in any way.

Everything was getting complicated and all Yoongi could think was to go and meet Hoseok. He was the only one who could quench his curiosity. He decided to see him after waking up the next morning. Only if he knew his night wasn't supposed to end so soon.

I don't want the same person to spoil my love as well as my sister's life. If it's the same Jimin, I won't leave him.
