Chapter 6- The Queen

"I'm just contemplating whether it is worth it trying to change your opinion or not," Y/N says giving a thoughtful look.

"Don't worry, I'll be staying for quite a while you have time to make up your mind," Jimin low-key brushes her off with a half smile and Y/N nods in comprehension.

"Okay," Y/N sighs and she leans back to the seat placing her earphones in her ears and soon her favorite song starts playing.

"Is she all right?" HoSeok asks wondering why Y/N isn't in her usual cheery and happy self.

"Yeah, she just got a message from mom this morning and she's not happy about it," Jungkook explains awkwardly rubbing his hands.

"I see," HoSeok hums and silence falls, until Jimin finds a way to spark up a conversation between himself and the two other males in the car.

And so the rest of the long road goes, the men are chatting cracking a few jokes and Y/N remains silent, blocking the outside world as she uses music as her wall while being drowned in her own mind.

"We're here?" Y/N asks as she feels the car stopping and she notices that the car has stopped at a familiar parking lot;

The castle's.

"We've been on the road for seven hours, Y/N," Jungkook comments as he awaits for Jimin to exit the car so he can get out too.

"Great," Y/N sighs with sarcasm in her voice as she opens the door and gets out, "I don't want to go in there," she growls while looking at the ceiling of the underground parking lot that rests below the castle.

"Why?" Jimin asks as he stands beside her.

"Stupid princess duties for the centennial celebration ball," Y/N growls not sparing a moment to look at Jimin who seems to utterly confused.

Celebrating hundred years of what?

Oh.

Right.

The war.

He thinks as a wave of disappointment and anger rushes through him however he makes sure to keep his facade still.

"A hundred years after we won that war, how amazing," Jimin gushes with a sigh an obvious smile on his face,

"Are there going to be representations of fight scenes between our army and theirs?" he pushes forward, expecting to see a satisfying- for him- reaction from her however all he gets is a pissed;

"Oh please," from her before she starts walking heading for the elevator leaving him behind.

I'm going to break you Princess Y/N, I won't kill you until you say you are glad that your horrible grandmother begun this war.

Jimin heaves an angry sigh as he looks at her back with an evil stare.

"She doesn't really agree with the way everyone is showcasing The War, she's not usually this offensive I guess it's the whole celebrating thing that makes her like that, give her some time and I'd suggest not talking much about ARMY when she's in front," Jungkook says with a serious yet friendly voice as he stands next to Jimin.

"I just wonder- out of all people-  why must she have a different opinion about the supernaturals?" Jimin sighs,

"You don't really think that the supernaturals did not deserve this, right?" Jimin asks Jungkook turning to look at him, in attempt to find out the young Prince's opinion on this.

Jungkook trying to be subtle and to spark a debate with Jimin uses a more diplomatic way than his sister did,

"There are things you don't know that would change your mind," he answers with seriousness, "But it's not a topic for discussion at the moment," he finishes on a happier tone as he pats Jimin's shoulder and then goes to help HoSeok take a few things from the trunk.

As the three are heading for the inside of the castle, Y/N has already reached her room where her mother, the current Queen, had been anticipating her for the past hour.

"Mother, for the millionth time, I am not planning on attending the ball," Y/N fights after her mother tells her that she should finally start preparing for the Centennial Ball.

"Y/N you know you can not be absent,' The Queen urges.

"I'm really sorry, Your Highness, but I scheduled to have fever and a heavy headache that day," Y/N growls with pure sarcasm in her voice.

"The people need to see you there," the Queen says ignoring Y/N's previous statement, she too coming closer to the limits of her patience little by little,

"I let you stay at those filthy borders near that land of theirs for an entire week, the least you can do now is remain silent and follow my instructions."

"Mother," Y/N begins now changing the topic slightly bit in order to achieve her goal,

"You tell me that people need to see me there, so that they feel closer to me, the future Queen, now please tell me, in which actual way, will I- being dressed up with the most expensive dresses- become relatable for those subjects of ours that have no food to eat or the soldiers at the borders that have useless equipment to train with," Y/N says looking at her mother in a strict manner, not raising her voice one bit but her seriousness is clearly evident,

"Please tell me how a fancy dress and a hairstyle will aid those people and I will come to the ball." she finishes and her mother adverts her eyes from the princess.

"You are just like your father, not giving a penny about the image of the Royal Family," The Queen sighs and she rubs her forehead before she speaks again,

"You need to be there because there's a high chance prince from a European Kingdom might propose."

"What?" Y/N gasps freezing as she runs her hand through her hair, giving a dumbfounded look at the woman in front of her,

"Are you serious?" she asks with a soft voice.

"Yes, and if he does you better agree because, like you said, we need to help our people and making such a bond with a European country will help provide better services," the Queen explains, feeling shame that she needs to bring her daughter into such situation.

"Give me some time to think about this please," Y/N says and she gets up from the seat she was sitting before and heads out of her room.

"Tell Jungkook to see me," The Queen says with a sigh wondering when her daughter is going to come on her right mind.

Y/N with sharp moves walks down the hallway having as her destination the training room, in which she's going to let some steam out.

However, on her way there she comes across the three men, who are casually walking and showing Jimin around the castle.

"Y/N!" HoSeok exclaims once he sees the princess walking towards them having her head down but a strong aura surrounding her.

"Yes?" Y/N asks raising her head to look at the three.

"Did you talk with mom?" Jungkook asks wondering if the mother and daughter fought.

"We did," Y/N sighs deeply.

"And?" her brother asks expecting an answer.

"The usual, she wants to see you by the way, most likely something to do with the ball," Y/N says brushing off his question with not much information.

She's not really keen to discussing her relationship with her mother in front of a stranger like Jimin.

"Where are you going?" HoSeok asks out of the blue wondering what the Princess is up to since she does look frustrated.

"Training," Y/N answers.

"The room is under renovation," HoSeok says while raising an eyebrow.

The moment Y/N hears those words her jaw drops, her eyes widen and she let's her shoulders slump in shock.

"Seriously?" she asks thinking that now she'll have to work out outside and she doesn't feel excited about this scenario.

"Yes," HoSeok agrees founding her reaction entertaining and Jimin finds himself trying to stiffle a laugh.

"Great," Y/N growls hunching her back even more.

"Is that the way a Princess should stand like?" a female voice says that Y/N recognizes as the Queen's and she immediately straightens her back.

"Where did I go wrong with you?" the Queen mutters to herself as she approaches the four people who now in respect to her.

"Mother," Jungkook greets her with a smile and she responds to it however before she can start a conversation with her son, her eyes travel to an unknown face to her.

"Your Highness, this is Park Jimin, he shall help me train the Princess and the Prince," HoSeok explains to the Queen before she can even express her query.

"Your Highness, it's an honor," Jimin says as he does a ninety degree bow, even if the last thing he would ever like to do is bow down to that unworthy woman.

Queen's interest is ticked as she eyes up and down the well-built man in front of her, "Welcome to the castle, Mister Park, I hope you train my children well."

"Do not worry, my Queen, I will do my best," Jimin says not looking at the Queen straight to the eyes, in sign of respect-for her- and for him....well...to not tear her throat apart in that very moment.

They say the eyes are the windows of the soul, if he does-show the disrespect- and look at her straight in the eyes he will be able to see the cruelty behind them, the lack of regret for what the Queen before her it or the absence of shame for being a supporter of something so cruel.

And if he does see that, he won't be able to hold himself.

After all, he was not trained for this.

He was not the one chosen for this mission.

The mission of assassinating the Royal Family.

His best friend, Kim TaeHyung was.

He was sent out, however he never managed to even get to the borders to be let in by NamJoon.

TaeHyung chose the wrong day to head for the borders.

A Special Team of humans was sent out that day- in request of the current Queen- and he got caught and dragged to a secret base.

When Jimin heard of this he was furious.

He tried finding that base for months.

That is the reason why he has sneaked into the kingdom of humans so many times. He was in search of information for the base his friend was taken to.

He never managed to gather enough, though.

Only rumors that went around the citizens of the kingdom, but still they were no avail.

Therefore the only place he can get all the information he needs is the palace.

And while he's here..., why not complete TaeHyung's mission and kill those cruel humans who run the Kingdom of Peace in such awful manner;

Brainwashing people into thinking that the supernatural are vicious creatures and in general; monsters, when that is the last thing they could ever be.

"Do not worry, Your Higness, both are in good hands," HoSeok assures the Queen.

"Oh, I'm sure," the Queen sighs and looks towards her daughter, "I just wish both of them acted more like royals than fighting machines with a rebellious spirit."

"Your Highness," a maid's voice is heard from a little behind,

"The representative of Europe has arrived, he is expecting you at the Throne Hall," she says and the Queen's eyebrows perk up.

"Oh my! Already?" She asks turning to face the maid, who confirms the question.

"Is this about-?" Y/N asks cutting her self in mid sentence although she is referring to the possible scenario of a marriage between her and a Prince from Europe.

"Yes, you are not needed however, you'll meet the Prince at the ball. Which is why you should come," the Queen greets her teeth and then she heads off to meet the representative.

"What is she talking about?" Jungkook asks confused.

"I swear if she plans to arrange a marriage between me and that prince I'm going to immigrate to the lands of B.T.S. and search for supernaturals for the rest of my life alone," Y/N says with a sigh and she abandons the three boys who seem dumbfounded.

"What?"
