Chapter 5- Opinions

"Ow, Ow, Ow," Y/N and Jungkook whine as they try to sit on the bench at the cafeteria.

"What's wrong with you two?" Jackson asks looking up at the two.

"Jung HoSeok," Y/N growls and she finally sits down.

"Why?" Jimin asks holding his fork and looking up at you.

"He is crueler than ever," she responds.

"I swear he is a demon in disguise," Jungkook comments with a growl.

Jimin actually freezes at his words not having been prepared to hear such phrase so suddenly.

He knows that humans have the tendency to use quotes using the word, ARMY or Demons every time they want to describe something malicious. It hurts him and his pride badly and every time he hears this the urge to just prove that the human race shouldn't disrespect the supernatural like that keeps growing.

"Jungkook, how many times have I told you don't use this phrase," Y/N sighs in annoyance at her younger brother.

"I'm sorry, I just gave nothing else to compare him to," Jungkook sighs.

"Is he that bad that you'd actually compare him to a demon?" Jackson asks raising an eyebrow.

At this conversation Jimin finds himself feeling closed off.

It appears to be harder than he thought. Hearing all this about himself, his race, his subjects,

His own blood.

Even though he has heard many times conversations of such type every time he finds himself incapable of participating because he knows that if he decides to speak he'll give a completely different opinion that could just blow his entire plan away.

So instead he locks himself in his own world and lets the conversation flow without him.

"Why? What's wrong with demons?" Y/N asks, the mood for a debate coming to surface within her.

"What do you mean what's wrong with them?" Jackson asks looking at her confused,

"As a princess you should know more than well what demons have done to our kingdom" Jackson states and gives her a stern look.

Jimin bites his lip in frustration, be wants to beat Jackson up so bad, but he can't let himself get out of character. He needs to know the royal family's opinion on the supernaturals.

He needs to hear it from their own mouth.

He needs to hear how much they hate ARMY,

How much dirty they consider his subjects.

And all just so killing them can become easier for him.

Just Y/N confirming Jackson's opinion will give him enough courage to snap her neck or draw a knife through her heart.

So in order to make Y/N say her- considered- wrong opinion about the B.T.S. Kingdom he decides to join the conversation, even if it hurts him.

"It's true, Demons and those filthy subjects of theirs, they hurt our kingdom so bad," he begins with a hint of disgust in his voice.

But not disgust for his own kind.

Disgust for his own words.

Disgust for calling himself a human.

"I am glad they have gone extinct," he finishes with a satisfied expression on his face.

Y/N sighs in annoyance and drops her fork as she clenches her jaw.

"I feel sorry for you," she says the two while giving them a sympathetic look.

This indeed confuses Jimin to no end but he doesn't let his character break, for all he knows she could be playing some sick mind game.

And he can not let her win.

"You shouldn't have touched this subject...," Jungkook mutters looking down at his food and continuing to eat quietly.

"Why exactly do you feel sorry for us?" Jackson asks feeling slightly offended by the princess.

"You have been so brainwashed about The Bloody War that you can't even make your own assumptions," Y/N begins slightly squinting her eyes in an imperial manner.

"What do you mean?" Jimin asks getting caught off guard by the Princess in front of him.

What is her game exactly?

Does she know about me?

How can she know about me?

HoSeok couldn't have told her.

And no one else knows about me being a demon,

Why is she like this?

All these questions and assumptions run through his mind while he holds a straight face expression not giving away himself.

He won't break until he knows exactly what Y/N is up to.

"Do you really think," Y/N begins, "That all of those ARMYs, were evil? That they truly all of them wanted to take over our Kingdom and rule over us?

It's like saying that just because the King doesn't like spaghetti, the entire Kingdom should hate spaghetti too."

This statement has Jimin widen his eyes for a short moment and his interest is definitely intrigued.

He needs to hear more from her.

"So you are actually saying that you don't think the supernaturals were evil?" Jimin asks raising an eyebrow in disbelief.

"Please, aside from the powers what made them different from us?

They read.

They had education.

They had families.

They had consciousness.

They had laws and they punished those who dared to cross those laws.

They had the ability to have different opinions just like we do.

So tell me, why should I put every single one of them under the same opinion and stereotype?"

Y/N explains shooting a deadly serious look towards the two men in front of her. One seems extremely confused because of the princess while the other has no idea how to handle this new information.

This isn't what he expected.

This isn't what he is supposed to hear.

This isn't what he wanted to hear.

Or maybe is it?

Out of all the times he has encountered humans he has never heard a supporting opinion for the supernaturals.

It actually creates a nice, warm and comforting feeling within him but as he realizes that Y/N could be all lies- just like other humans- this feeling disappears and it's replaced by anger.

Anger that she is giving him such an answer.

He doesn't need to hear that she likes the supernaturals or that she feels like they have been wronged.

Whatever happened, happened.

She can't take it back.

Her grandmother destroyed his Kingdom, her parents continue the work of Queen Y/N the First by searching the lands of the B.T.S. Kingdom and he is sure that once Princess Y/N the Second becomes Queen she will continue this work on the same way.

Therefore there is no reason to believe her words.

He knows that in the end she will be lying.

"Oh please," he begins, "Queen Y/N decided that all of them deserved to die and she acted accordingly, don't you think she knew better than you? She actually lived in that era, and personally I'm glad she took this decision, shouldn't you feel like this too? After all you have so many traits from her" Jimin continues, determined to break her, using all the ways he can.

The moment Y/N hears him mention her grandmother anger and disgust consumes her. All the playfulness she felt due to having this battle of opinions is gone and slightest mention of that terrible woman is enough to make Y/N feel like a volcano ready to erupt.

"Don't you dare support the opinion of that terrible-" Y/N begins, anger being visible through her expression and tone of voice, however she gets cut off by Jungkook as he places his hand on top of hers,

"Y/N, don't it's not worth it," he tells her and Y/N sighs angrily while sending glares towards Jimin.

He is a complete arrogant douche.

And to think that he looked so sweet in the beginning.

Hmph, I guess I formed a wrong opinion about him.

"I'm leaving, don't look for me unless you have a deathwish," she growls in anger as she forcefully takes her hand away from Jungkook's grip, sits up and leaves the table with no more words to add.

She doesn't really mean this threat. She just needs to be alone and she's only making sure that she'll have the privacy she needs.

"Please don't ever mention Queen Y/N the First again," Jungkook says as he stands up abandoning his food,

"for your own good," he adds and then leaves the table too heading towards the opposite direction his sister went to.

And because of this for the remaining days the royal siblings stayed at the borders Y/N did not speak to Jimin.

He did not approach her she did not go near him.

Not that the Demon Prince made much of an attempt to approach her, he will have his chances to do so anyways.

Jungkook at first was a little cold towards him, however since they are roommates and Jimin made enough effort so the young Prince warmed up to him again.

"Princess Y/N, Prince Jungkook," Chief Kim NamJoon bows at the two as they all stand by the gates farewelling the Royal Siblings that will leave the boards.

"It was a pleasure having you, I hope everything went well with your stay here."

"Do not worry Chief, we sure learned many things from this experience thank you forn treating us equally like everyone else," Jungkook responds with respect as he makes a small bow for Chief.

"Indeed thank you, Chief, we shall give the best of words to the King and Queen and of course I shall request that you are given better equipment for your soldiers," Y/N says she too making a small bow.

"I am really grateful, your highness," Chief Kim says using honorific and a small chuckle escapes Y/B's lips however it is not noticeable by anyone.

"Are we expecting anyone?" Y/N asks wondering why they haven't left yet.

"Sorry for being late," a voice says behind her and she turns around to be met with Park Jimin who is holding a military travelling bag.

What does he want here?

Y/N wonders as she eyes Jimin up and down.

He is dressed in all black formal clothing and now his hair, from the cotton-candy-pink that they were have gone to subtle chocolate brown. A color that seems to suit his face with quite a success.

"Princess, Prince," he greets the two as he does a small bow to them.

"Ah Jimin you're here. We can leave now," HoSeok says with a smile.

"What?" Jungkook asks confused.

" Just get in the car and I'll explain," HoSeok says as he heads for the car after farewelling the Chief.

The two siblings follow him expecting an explanation from him.

Jimin is the last one to start heading for the car and before he does he mouths a thank you to his old friend NamJoon who gives him a warm smile in return.

"You're coming with us?" Jungkook asks once Jimin gets in the car and sits beside him.

"You don't know?" Jimin asks amused.

"Know what?" Jungkook asks.

"For your reputation you are really slow, Jungkook," HoSeok chuckles,

"I chose him to help me train you," HoSeok explains.

"Really?" Jungkook asks, happiness written on his face, "So, you'll stay at the castle? Ah, great!!"

"Really?" Y/N asks surprised but definitely not amused.

"Yes, but why don't you sound happy? Don't you like me?" Jimin asks giving Y/N a sweet smile that hides sarcasm behind it.

Sarcasm that Y/N can definitely see.

"You have a very bad opinion about a few things and it pisses me off, however you have the right to believe whatever you want," Y/N explains with a serious tone not caring about how heavy the atmosphere will become due to her words.

"I'm just contemplating whether it is going to be worth it to try and change it or not."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, faaaaammm
I know I haven't updated in a long time on this one...
However I'm still kinda busy with summer private lessons and I don't have enough time to focus on all my works.
I got some extra time this week because I became ill and didn't attend the lessons for two days xD.
Ah, sorry for delaying again :(
I have two more weeks of private lessons and then I'll be free (hopefully nothing else comes up) to work on this fan fiction properly.
Thank you for being patient enough:))) I really appreciate it.
Now I gotta head off to sleep xD
See ya on the next update.
BAAAIIII~~~
