We Need A Plan Dammit

"What the fuck..." Midoriya whispered, and Kirishima distantly nodded, before walking over to look at the ID card. "Oh jeez, that's a lot of kills..." Kirishima commented.

"I think I'm gonna puke, holy shit..." Midoriya murmered, throwing the card onto the ground.

"I wouldn't blame you..." Kirishima murmured awkwardly, "That is an expression, right? I don't exactly know how to deal with people puking.."

Midoriya nodded, although with how his stomach churned, he wasn't entirely sure on how true that was.

"We need to get out of here." He said, and Kirishima nodded in agreement.

Midoriya looked over the things he had pulled out. Excluding the granola bars, hunter ID, and notebooks, they had a lot of knives, climbing gear, a lighter, and a key to a motorcycle. Midoriya didn't know where the motorcycle was, so the key was esentially useless for the moment, but it did tell him that in this dimension, he knew how to ride one. He got a strange feeling that the information had someone transfered over to him, too.

The knives could be useful for an asortment of things, and Midoriya suddenly was left wondering why he didn't add any to his hero coustume- he shook off the thought for now. He needed to focus. They were stuck in a different dimension, after all. A really fucked up one, at that.

The climbing gear would only be useful if they happened to encounter a mountain or cliff, and while Midoriya knew that there wasn't any in this area, it was better to be safe than sorry, he supposed. Plus, this was a different dimension, so while this might be the forest he and Kacchan used to play in, it might not be the same as the one he knew. He put it back in his backpack for the time being.

Then there was the lighter. He figured that it was most likely for fires, in case he ended up camping out instead of returning to... where ever he lived. He had a feeling that he didn't live with his mom, though.

He clapped his hands together, drawing Kirishima's attention once more. "Right. This is the forest that Kacchan and I used to play in when we were little, so in theory, I should be able to navigate this place. It might be different, though, so I think we should probably walk around a bit too see if it's the same or not. As long as it's the same as I remember it, we should be able to get back to Mutsutafu. It's probably not gonna be very safe there, though, especially for you. We aren't going to be able to survive on granola bars forever, though, and I doubt either of us can hunt."

He chose to ignore the fact that he probably could kill something if need be- besides, he didn't know how to do any of the stuff to actually get the meat from it.

Kirishima nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I dunno how to hunt either."

"So then we have to go back to Mutsutafu, then... You have your quirk still, so that puts you in danger. I mean, I'm sure that you can fight off the hunters, but still. We'll need to find someplace to hide, until we can get back home."

Kirishima nodded, before freezing, "Do..do either of us know any hiding places here? I mean, I live in Mutsutafu, but I never really hid anywhere or anything. I never really needed to.."

"I know... a few places" A few was an understatement, really, but Midoriya wasn't about to tell Kirishima that. Kirishima would just get worried about him over it, and they needed to focus on getting back home.

Kirishima sighed, "Man, I feel like I'm not being very helpful in this. I mean, you've got all the supplies, you know the way out of this forest, and you know a place where we can hide!"

"Might." Midoriya corrected. "We're in a different dimension, so I don't know if this version will be the same as what I know. Anyways, don't say that about yourself! I'm sure you'll be able to help plenty."

"If you say so." Kirishima sighed, helping Midoriya put the rest of the supplies back. "Let's get going now. The sooner we get out of this place, the better."

"Yeah." Midoriya nodded in agreement, and stood up slowly. Then, the two of them began wandering around, Kirishima following Midoriya's lead. So far, everything seemed to be almost the same as he remembered, with a few differences. A scorch mark on a tree here, a bear trap there, but it was otherwise the same.

There was something he still wanted to check for, though. The tree bridge. While he figured that the bridge itself wouldn't be there, since Bakugou had used his quirk to push it down to make it a bridge, the river should still remain. If the river was still there, then he would know that the forest was close enough to his memories that he could properly navigate it.

Eventually, the two of them came across the river, and Midoriya almost sighed in relief. Almost.

Then he saw something that felt so very wrong. The bridge was still there. The exact same scorch marks on the base of it from Bakugou's quirk, the exact same tree, the exact same spot.

That wasn't right. If his theory was right, then quirks were a rarity in this dimension, rather than something common. So Bakugou should've been quirkless!

But.. But based on this, he wasn't quirkless. He still had his quirk.

The scortch marks on the trees.. The bear traps...

Oh. Oh shit.

"Kirishima...? I think.... I think that Kacchan's living in this forest." Midoriya said, his voice hoarse.

Just as he said the words, a nearby explosion sounded.

Oh.

Fuck.
