Sixteen: Gone.
Video on the side is a reused video... Just felt like it fits in the chapter.
Mkay, so I got nothing else to say... haha... :3
Sixteen: Gone.
Elsa
I woke up to a pretty Saturday morning... waaait...
Damn, Jack's birthday is TOMORROW!
I quickly got dressed and headed downstairs.
"Hey, Elsa!", Anna greeted me with a warm smile. "Up already?"
"Umm... yeah...", I picked up two pieces of bacon from the table. "I'm off to the shops near DisneyWorks, okay?"
"What for?", she asked. "Oh... Jack's birthday, huh?"
"Yeah, I'm the worst girlfriend ever!", I braided my hair while skipping off to the front lawn.
"Don't forget to bring me back curly fries!", I heard her yell before I paced to my car.
Fortunately, there weren't much cars on the road on my way to the shops. I was still debating on what to get for him.
I parked my car on the curb and scanned the windows of the shops.
I passed by a ice cream parlor... which made my head feel dizzy as I skimmed through the extensive flavor menu.
The sports shop was in my view, and I quickly got inside.
I scanned the place... looking for that blue hoverboard, but it wasn't here.
"Umm...", I approached a sales person. "Is the blue hoverboard still available?"
"Oh, we sold the last piece already, miss.", he replied.
Oh my goddesses... What am I supposed to do now?
I bit my lip.
Okay, there must be a video game shop here somewhere.
That could be my last resort... a Call of Duty game could fix this sitch.
I went back outside to the pavement, and started searching for a GameStop.
Jack
I had this certain urge to wake up early today. Usually, I'd sleep for the whole day... but something bugged me. I had this feeling that something bad was bound to happen today.
The sun seemed fine... no clouds to be seen. I think I've done all the homework... except for that "listing-down-all-of-the-countries" thing for History. Seriously, nobody has the time to list down 196 countries on a single sheet of paper.
The nagging feeling was still there...
Maybe something is up with Elsa...
I picked up my phone and tried to call her.
"Hey this is Elsa. I'm sort of busy today... but please leave me a message, and I'll try to call you back.", her answering machine sang back.
Odd, usually Elsa never turns on her answering machine. She's always available for calls...
I went outside and sat on the front porch. I've never felt so alone... My eyes were locked on a tire swing hung on a tree.
Back in the days, Sophie would spend the entire morning being swung around by my father. But those days were long gone. I haven't talked to my mom personally, for about five years.
She was always somewhere else, attending to other people's needs instead of mine. I did understand that she was doing all of that for me, but she felt so distant...
My mom usually called me every night... but now... she never called me anymore. I still got the money, but she stopped sending notes that often came along with it.
I would think that she has found a new family there, and started to forget about me, my dad and Sophie. Thinking about her made my blood boil, but I still wanted to see her again.
"Hey Jack!", someone yelled in front of me. The figure waved his hands in front of my face. "You okay, dude?"
I blinked my eyes, "Oh, it's you Hiccup."
He raised an eyebrow, "What the hell are you doing outside? Without a coat?"
I did a quick glance at myself, "I never felt the cold, Hic."
"So why are you outside, again?", he sat down beside me.
I shrugged, "Thinking about my long-gone family, I guess."
"Naaw... Don't let them bug you, Jack.", he patted my back. "You got us... and Elsa of course."
I smiled at the sound of her name.
"Speaking of Elsa, Hic. Have you seen her today?", I asked Hiccup.
"No... Why?"
"She hasn't been answering her phone lately. I'm kinda worried.", I said.
"Don't worry about Elsa. She's perfectly capable of defending herself, not to mention her black belt.", he replied.
I chuckled, but that feeling of worry still lingered in my mind.
Elsa
I scanned the video games in the glass cabinet, "Do you have the new CoD?"
The salesman shook his head, "We're kinda out of stock. A bunch of middle school kids raided the shop yesterday."
I giggled... but my God, I don't know what to get him now.
I walked to the classic Nintendo games section.
Super Mario? Well, he does love Yoshi... but I'm pretty sure he'll finish up all the levels in just one seating.
The Legend of Zelda? I remember him up all night in trying to save Zelda from Zant... but he flunked the Calculus quiz the next day. That would be a good laugh.
I picked up a case with a golden background.
"I'll be taking this.", I placed the video game case on the counter. The cashier scanned the item, and I paid for it.
I looked at my watch... My, how did it get so late?
As soon as I got the case wrapped, I headed back to my car.
After a few minutes of driving, a black van blocked my way.
Jack
The sun was setting, and I still haven't got a message from Elsa. Where could she be in this late hour.
"Jack!", I saw Anna racing towards me. "Where's Elsa?"
"What?"
"I thought she's supposed to be with you?", she exclaimed.
"I haven't even seen her all day.", I said.
Anna sat down, "She hasn't been answering my calls, or my text messages..."
"Me too.", I said. "I'm worried about what could have happened to her. Right now, anything is possible."
My phone rang, and it was from Elsa.
I picked it up, "Hello? Elsa?"
"Jack!", Elsa called out. Her voice was echoing... as if she was in an empty room.
"Where are you?", I yelled into the receiver. All I could hear from her was sobs.
"Well, well.", a voice sang into the phone.
The voice was familiar... and it could be from no other than...
"Pitch, I swear. If you ever hurt her, it will be the death of you.", I threatened him.
"I'm not scared of you, Jack.", he cooed. "Remember what you did back in middle school?"
My eyebrows furrowed. Middle school?
What on earth is he talking about?
"It's payback time, Frost.", he said as he hung up the call. The last sound I heard was Elsa yelling my name.
I was stunned. I couldn't breathe well. Anna was calling out my name and asking about the call, but I didn't reply to her.
Elsa was in the hands of Pitch, and who knows what he could do to her.
I'm coming for you, Elsa...
A/N: Whooop! Okay, I posted this on a Sunday here... so I guess I'm a bit late. Anyhoo, yay~! Drama has started.
I'm not really sure about what happened to Jack and Pitch back in middle school... I just typed that down, but if you do have an idea or a suggestion about it, don't hesitate to inbox me :3
