Chapter 9
So sorry that I have been not at all consistent with this book. For a while I was contemplating whether or not I would be continuing writing this. But I've chosen to continue to write on. Again I apologize and will try to stay consistent as well as I again. Please forgive me as I am very busy with school and sports. Thanks for understanding.

Here I was on a Saturday afternoon, on my front porch with the door wide open, chewing my gum obnoxiously , and having an amazing stare down with Gavin. He was holding out my black jacket that I had forgotten at In'n'out. I had to leave before anybody else because my mom had wanted me home early that day.
"Lilly would have dropped it off but she had to study." Gavin said, "So, she asked me to drop it off instead."
Gavin shook the jacket as I still stared at him. I put my hand on the door and shifted my weight to my right foot. Then suddenly Gavin blurted out the unexpected.
"Look, I've been thinking a lot about you lately." I shot him a confused look, "My whole life I thought knew for a fact I wasn't gay-- or bisexual. But, when you started to notice me and ask for my number I started rethinking it." I tilted my head to the right and started paying more attention. "I thought to myself; 'how do you know that your not gay if you've never even kissed a boy or even thought extensively about your sexuality?' As I thought more and more about it, I became suddenly comfortable with experimenting with it."
His lips turn into a grin that I crave to see more of. I'm at lost for words. I start to speak but he cuts me off.
"And, before you even ask about Lilly-- I broke up with her." Gavin said. "If I was gonna be experimenting with my sexuality then I don't really need her in my life right now."
I was even more shocked then I had been before. Gavin Grey, the hottest jock at our school is standing on my porch practically telling me he wants to experiment his sexuality with me. With me! Gavin could tell I was at a loss for words so he invited himself in. I shut the door behind him.
My Mom was gone for the day at a family party which kids were not invited to. Justin went to hang out with some old friends from his hometown. So, that left me alone. Oh-- wait I wasn't alone cause Gavin was in the house with me!
"Water?" I asked as I was walking over to the fridge with two empty glass bottles.
"Sure". He said. Gavin pulled out the bar stool that was sitting under the counter. I rounded the countertop and handed him the glass of water. He grabbed it while purposely brushing over my fingers.
"Oops, sorry" He said with a small mischievous grin on his face. I wanted to grab his face and kiss him so badly but I decided that I would like to obtain my dignity. He took one long sip of his water eyeing me the entire time. He jumped up from his seat and followed me over to the sink. He put a hand in his pocket and pulled out a tiny white piece of paper. I turned around and Gavin was so close to me. We were breathing the same air. The same minty air. He put one arm around my neck paper in hand and switched it to his other hand. He then slowly pushed his arm down to my left back pocket and put his fingers in my back pocket, pushing the note down. He left his fingers in my back pocket and whispered into my ear.
"That's my number," Gavin whispered. "In case you lost it." Gavin backed up from me and winked as he left my house. He left me standing in my kitchen heart racing and palms sweating. I didn't know that it was possible that you could fall in love with someone all over again.

I strayed away from the plot that I was originally going to do (about the whole 'one week that's it' thing) I thought it would be best if I left that part out. Thanks again for reading!
