We both looked down at my phone and read Gavin's message in front of us. 'Hey maybe we can hang out sometime' the message read. Lily and I looked at each other in shock, I was not expecting that. I was excited but nervous at the same time. I mean can you blame me? It went from I'm not that interested to I want to hang out. Something did not feel right but I didn't know what it was. Lily ran off to class and I headed to the vending machine.

                                  I walked into the garbage smelling cafeteria only to find that they were having hot dogs. My high schools hot dogs are the worst so I called Lily to meet up somewhere for lunch. Her phone went straight to voice mail so I decided to get in the car and go to our favorite place to eat. I was hoping to find her there since we are there 24/7. I pulled into the small parking lot of In'N'Out not being able to find Lily's car.I was able to find one of Gavin's friends cars though.  I walked in and ordered at the cash register. I ordered a Double-Double, fries, and a large strawberry shake. I slid into a two-person booth and automatically started browsing Instagram. After 10 minutes of waiting which seemed like 30 minutes I went to the front to grab my food. Only to see something that changed my mindset completely. 

                                    There she was, standing by the entrance completely oblivious to the fact that I am watching her. Lily, my best friend and 'sister' is making out with Gavin right before my eyes. She has her arms gripped tightly around his neck and his hands around her waist. I was watching as they were engulfing each others face. Their bodies were mushed together so close that you couldn't fit a thin piece of paper between them. I gasped and struggled for air. I couldn't let my self cry because it would look weird seeing a man cry.

"Jonah!" Lily said surprised.

She looked so ashamed that she might have cried. But I couldn't feel bad. I left the building so fast that you might have guessed that I was running from a fire. 

                                     I bolted out the heavy doors of In'N'Out. I wanted to skip school the rest of the day and go hurtle up in my soft blanket. The betrayal that I felt was unexplainable. That's why Gavin was confused when I asked for his number. I could hear Lily's voice behind me. Her voice seemed so distant even though I was only across the street. I had no intention of turning around to talk or face her. Gavin could absolutely care less. I jumped in my car but Lily was right behind me so I had to carefully shut my car door so I wouldn't hurt her. Even though I should have. I put the keys in the ignition and backed out really fast. I decided to head home but that wasn't any less more stressful. 

                                       I have a really close relationship with my mom. I tell her everything. She even knows about the huge crush that I have on Gavin Grey. 

"What are you doing home so early" She said as soon as I stepped foot onto our 'Welcome' mat at the front door. I immediately burst into tears and melted on the floor like I used to do when I was five. She rushed over and coddled me. 

"What's wrong baby, are you okay?" she repeated these questions as if my answer would change. I already told her that I caught Gavin and Lily kissing. 

"Paige, can you introduce me?" a voice said from behind the kitchen counter.

"Who's that" I said looking at my mother in a questioning manner. She grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the kitchen. I was anxiously debating if I should keep my eyes open or not. The voice sounded like a man's, a man about my age or so. I choose to open my eyes and what revealed was horrifying and shocking at the same time...
