Chapter 7.2
I had tea with her granddaughter while she handed me a book that her grandmother had left for me.
"Lady Irene? Grandmama said that you can talk to wyverns, is that true? Can I talk to them to?"
I smiled, she was so adorable, "Of course you can, you can even be best friends with one!"
"Really?" She asked, full of hope.
"Of course, sweetie. Now, I have to go now, I believe you heard that Esmund is being coronated today?"
She nodded her head in response to my question, "Will you come back and have tea again soon?"
"Of course."
She got out of her seat and gave me a giant hug before I left the house to return to Edmund's coronation.

Lady Irene beckoned to me to follow here, in which I did, deep into the first where a lilac portal could be seen.
"Lady Irene, may I ask where this portal leads to?"
She answered my question without turning away from the portal as pure white light began to shine in her outstretched hands, "Home", before she crossed the portal.
I hesitated, should I cross? If I do, what will be of my father? I heard a twig snap behind me , signaling that someone was there, I turned only to see my father there.
He approached me, and the nearer he came, the harder I found it was to breathe.
"Look," he began, " I know I wasn't the best dad that you had when your mother was gone."
It took all I had to not scoff at that.
"I just. I just want you to know that I'm proud of you, even though you might not be impressed at me now, and I swear, I swear to you that I will be a better person and Lord. I will make O'khasis to be a force to be reckoned with and you will always, always, have a home here Esmund."
I ran to hug my father, even though years of bitter revenge still tainted my heart, I cried tears of sorrow. Maybe if I had tried harder to understand him. Tried harder to help him. Then maybe he would have been the better person that he swore he would become.
"I think you should go, son," he said while letting me go, "don't worry about me, go live your life and at least drop by every few months."
"Yeah." was my only reply as I crossed the portal and into an island that was even more beautiful than the sunset itself.
"Beautiful isn't it?" came a voice, no mistake, it was from Irene.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Beautiful isn't it?" I asked Esmund right after he stepped through the portal, it took quite a while for him to pass through the portal. Maybe he had something to say to someone and while I debated on asking him, he replied to my earlier question,
"Is this what heaven looks like?" he asked which was more like a whisper.
I giggled, "Welcome to my home, this island doesn't have an official name yet but it has many inhabitants from centaurs to merfolk."
To say he was shocked was an understatement.
"Come on, I'll show you around."
All he did was nod. I giggled, wishing that this adorable face of his would never end.
Currently, I now know that building a home is no easy feat.
Lady Irene had left me to settle in and I am currently trying to build my home on this island. Although this island is beautiful, the inhabitants weren't, I don't know if its because I'm a human or whatever but they seem to be ignoring me and when I approached the lumberjack, he cursed out at me.
Anyways, I should really collect more stone to strengthen it a little. Turning around to get my pickaxe from the floor, I heard a strange crackling sound, heading to the back, I found two centaur children trying to start a fire to burn my makeshift home down.
Snatching the flint and steel from their hands, they ran away surprised as I frowned at the simple pieces of metal and flint in my hands. Do I really belong on this island? If the villagers all ignore and hate me, how am I supposed to be their Protector? Would it have been better if I were never here in the first place?
Looking at him among the shadows provided by the trees, I frowned.
I was worried that this might happen but I didn't think that it would be this serious. I have to think of a way to fix this, he has the potential and I cannot protect this big world all on my own.
Turning around, I headed deep into the woods to sought out an old friend, Hyria. The walk along the path was brief as I took in the sounds of the leaves crunching beneath my feet and the animals chirping. I have made my mind up about this matter and it was about time that I put this plan into action.
