Chapter 1
I am known as the Matron, the God, The First Divine Warrior......Irene the Matron. As you all know, I do jot go through resurrection as I can never die, but, I do help others....
I was walking through the woods when I heard a cry for help, there I saw a young boy about to get run through by a Shadow Knight. I was about to help when a man with yellow hair and baby blue eyes ran to his rescue.
I dissolved into the shadows and watched the whole thing happen. 'He is good at his sword' I thought as he finished off the Shadow Knight.
Being the only Divine Warrior at that time had been very lonely. People look up to you but you can't save them all at once.
As he finished of that Shadow Knight, I noticed a magick aura coming from him. 'So, he is a bearer of a relic eh?' I thought as he brought the boy back to his village.
I thought nothing of it. He might have saved that little boy but I cannot be too sure on whether his heart is pure or stained. He would make a good defender and save others though...I went back home with that thought lingering in my head....

I was walking through the woods to get some fresh air. Being victim of your father's constant yelling isn't really something to be happy about.
Flashback:
I was walking through the house to help the maid with their chores. I was never one to take advantage of them.....
On the way to the kitchen, I stopped at the shrine of Irene the Matron. I have never met her in person but had heard rumors saying that she was beautiful and strong. Silly enough, I had believed all of them and developed a crush on her even though I have never met her....
I uttered a quick prayer to her so that she can pass it on to my mother who was in Irene's realm and proceeded to head to the kitchen. That was when I was yanked back by my hair.
Turning around, I saw my father and boy was he angry. He proceeded to give me a good beating, just to vent his anger at me and threw me out of the house.
Flashback Ends..
I shuddered at the memory. I could have murdered my father there on the spot since I AM a relic bearer but I didn't. I couldn't. It as wrong to think of thoughts like that.
I continued walking when I heard a faint screaming. Running towards it, I saw a little boy about to get run through by a Shadow Knight.
I ran over, transformed and finished off the Shadow Knight in just one swing from my sword. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a figure in the shadows and turned around but saw nothing.
Turning back, I recognized the boy as Steve. I brought him back to his village where his parents were worried sick and headed back home.

It has been a week since that had happened and I was walking through the same forest again. There I saw the same man with the baby blue eyes and decided to watch him.
He was making several flower crowns with names on them, I had recognized a few as I had saved them before. They were for orphans....
I activated my magick and skimmed through his memories. Poor, poor man, being only 20 and already being treated like that. Me being 5 thousand years old never did understand what abuse was, now I know...
I even saw that his heart wasn't tainted at all. He was pure hearted and had never committed a sin. He even developed a crush on me even though he had never met me before. I giggled, how cute!
I was about to approach him when a man with similar yellow hair and baby blue eyes approached him before me. He destroyed the flower crowns that he spent hours to make and scolded him.
I looked over at the man, he accepted the beating and scolding even though he could of defended himself. He didn't want to hurt others, he had a great heart of a hero.
That was when I saw the older man took out a small dagger and stalked towards the younger man slowly. I zoomed and stood in front of the younger man, holding the blade of the dagger tightly to prevent it from swinging. Even though the blade shattered, my hand was still bleeding.
The older man looked at me in shock and bowed while the younger man looked at me in awe. I turned around to face the younger man to smile sweetly at him.
"Hi," I greeted, "my name is-"
"Irene..." the younger man whispered in disbelief while a slowly nodded.
"And you are....." I trailed off, waiting for him to say his name.
"Esmund, my name is Esmund." he replied, still in his state of shock. I knew that we would be friends right away, but what I didn't know was that he was one of the many that I would see to come and go for all eternity.
He was one of the fallen stars that could never go on to my dimension but be resurrected time and time again.
