*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*

The light that came flooding through the windows was bright, bright enough to nearly blind me even through my closed eyelids. With a groan, I turned over onto my side, turning away from the sun.

The hairs on my back of my neck stood on end and an uncomfortable shudder rolled down my spine, I was being watched. My eyes snapped open and I hurriedly shuffled back against the wall, holding my hands up in a defensive position.

"Calm down (Y/N), it's only me" came to familiar collected voice, I panted shakily, my heart thumping rapidly in my chest at the male that appeared before me.

"Kaname? What—what are you doing here?" I sputtered, running a hand through my hair and relaxing my tense shoulders.

"That voice you were talking about? Did you hear it last night?".

"No, why?" I mumbled, pushing the blankets off and slipping off of the bed, making my way over to my closet, I began pulling out clothes for the day when I felt a cool hand land on my shoulder. Tensing my muscles, I stopped in my movements.

"I stayed with you, the whole night while you slept—the voice never came. It seems it doesn't want to be heard by anyone other than you".

His hand slowly slipped from my shoulder down my arm under his gentle fingers, and with his grip on my hand, he slowly turned me to face him.

His jaw was clenched and his eyes were downcast "Kaname? Is something wrong?", the corners of his lips tugged up at my concern and he let out a breathy laugh "you're kind, worrying about me" he mumbled.

Gently, he tugged me towards him "...may I?" he mumbled, I paused for a moment, brows furrowing in confusion. To ease my suspicions, Kaname took a step forward, chest coming up to brush against my own.

One arm wound around my waist, resting on my back – the other maintained its grip on my hand. "Kaname...?" I breathed out.

I could hear his gulp "please" he mumbled quietly "just for a little while". Biting my lips, my arms slowly rose until their gently wound around my neck, returning his embrace.

"Okay, just for a little while".

His eyes fluttered closed and his head angled down until the tip of his nose brushed against the skin of my neck, he inhaled deeply. Goosebumps washed over me and as I parted my lips to speak, the door burst open.

"(Y/N) do—" the intruder stopped dead, and quickly, Kaname and I withdrew from each other. Standing on opposite ends of the room.

"What—what is going on here?" the intruder sputtered, and as I hurriedly turned to look at them. I was surprised by who I saw. Standing there, eyes wide and filled with hurt – jaw dropped and body rigid; was Yuki.

"Yuki..." Kaname mumbled, and I had never seen his expression look quite so panicked before.

"It's not what it looks like" I took a step towards her with a deep breath and her eyes moved from Kaname over to me "Kaname was feeling down, he needed a shoulder so I lent him one", as I explained, I glanced over at the male.

The look in his eyes was grateful, and he nodded to the female, to show her I was telling the truth. Yuki visibly relaxed, letting out a relieved sigh "well what's wrong?" she rushed over to the male, placing her hands on his forearms "can I help you with anything? Please tell me what's bothering you".

I glanced over at Kaname, who clearly didn't want to talk about it. Walking towards them, I placed my hand on her shoulder "it's none of our business Yuki, Kaname will talk about it when he's ready".

The female glanced over at me, hesitant. But slowly, she gave a nod and her hands slipped off of her arms. Returning to her sides, she took a step back and cleared her throat.

"Right I—um" she took a deep breath and turned to face me "I wanted to ask, do you know where Zero is? I haven't seen him all day".

"I haven't, but I'll let you know if I see him" I assured with a nod, Yuki glanced between Kaname and I before she gave a nod "right well...I'll be leaving then, (Y/N)" she nodded to me and then turned to the brunette "Kaname".

Turning on her heel, Yuki wandered out of the room, and closed the door behind her. I let out a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair, turning to face Kaname "are you alright?" I asked quietly.

Kaname took a deep breath and turned to face me with a reassuring smile "I'm alright, thank you, for staying with me when I asked".

With a smile of my own, I nodded "of course, you can ask of me anytime". Kaname stepped towards me, slender fingers gently brushed few stray strands of hair behind my ear, I gulped, eyes slowly raising to meet his eyes.

His expression was unreadable, and his fingertips gently traced over my cheek. Suddenly seeming to realized himself, he drew his hand back "I should go" he whispered, taking a step back.

Biting my lip, I diverted my attention to the floor "yes, right, yeah. You have duties to attend to" I reached up to rub the nape of my neck with my hand.

Kaname bowed his head briefly "till next time" he mumbled quietly, and with that, he turned his back and left the room.

As the door closed behind him, my hand lifted to my own cheek, fingers brushing against the skin he had touched.

Rubbing my hands over my face with a groan, I grabbed my clothes and headed to the bathroom.

Despite there not being any classes on the weekend, the disciplinary committee still had rounds to take care of. And what with Zero's disappearance, I hoped Yuki was doing her job rather than searching for him. Zero was very capable of taking care of himself.

As I continued walking the grounds, the faint outline of the stables came into sight. Zero had a love for horses ever since I could remember, and as I glanced around for sight of any student breaking the rules, I jogged lightly towards it.

Pushing the stable doors open, light streamed into the building. And on the floor, laying in a pile of hay, arms behind his head, was none other than Zero.

"I thought you'd be in here" I mumbled with a sigh, stepping into the wooden barn. Lilac eyes slowly opened and glanced off to the side at me, he let out a sigh of his own "what do you want?" he mumbled quietly.

I let out a gentle kick to his side with the tip of my shoe "stop slacking off, Yuki was looking for you". His brows furrowed at my light kick, and when no reply came, I gave him another tap, slightly harder this time.

With an annoyed growl, his pale hand shot out from under his head to grasp my ankle. With a rough tug, my foot was pulled out from under me. I let out a cough, the breath was knocked out of me and I let out a pained groan.

"Zero, you jerk. What are yo—" I was cut off by his much larger hand coming up to cover my mouth. "I was sleeping, you kicked me, you're the jerk" he huffed, pulling his hand off of my mouth with a grumble.

His hand came to rest on the side of my head and it was only then that I noticed the position he was in. Zero was hover above me, hands either side of my head. One of his legs came to rest on the floor in between my own, the other on the floor the other side of my leg, so he was effectively straddling my right leg.

"Get off of me" I whispered quietly with a gulp, Zero's opened his mouth to say something when the barn door was pulled open further.

"Zero! I thought you'd be he—"

My eyes closed and I let out a rough sigh "dammit, again?" I mumbled to myself. Tilting my head back, I sent a sheepish grin to the upside down figure of my 'sister', Yuki.

"It's not what it looks like...?" I mumbled, pressing my hands to Zero's chest in an attempt to push him off. Yuki breathed in deeply and held up her hands "forget it, I found you, or rather, you found each other. I don't want to know".

Turning on her heel, Yuki shook her head and walked away hurriedly, clearly not very happy.

Clenching my jaw, I landed a slap to the centre of Zero's chest "look what you did! Now she hates me" I grumbled, shooting a glare to the male above me.

The male rose a brow "and I care—why?" he said with a light scoff, my eyes narrowed and my brows furrowed "you should care because now she thinks we're a couple, genius!" I huffed.

Zero gulped and glanced up at the open door before looking back down at me, his expression unreadable. The silver haired male was peering down at me, slowly leaning towards me. My body tensed, eyes widening as he drew closer.

And amidst my tense shock, I could feel his breath tickling my lips "is that so bad?" he whispered, my eyes widened further and before I could say another word, a warm pressure was pushed against my lips.
