Rúna's P.O.V.

I was looking up at the clear blue sky, laying on a blow up doughnut in the lake. My short, black hair sleaked back from the water. I could feel the sun beat down on my tan/caramel colored skin... Before getting flipped over by my twin sister.
"Nyx!!" I yelled once I came back up for air. I looked at the insane giggling 7 year old. "Splash war!!!!" I started to splash her, to which she splashed back.
"Come on girls, time to dry off!!" I looked over at my mama and my mommy- only to get pushed underwater by Nyx. I came back up only to see a guy holding my mama by the neck and a gun pointed to my mommy... I started to swim towards them, only feeling Nyx grab my arm and stopping me.
"We have to go and save them!" Nyx should her head no.
"There's this feeling I got from looking at mommy...t-then this voice appeared in my head saying run." Nyx would never lie to me, but this seemed like crazy crap from a sci-fyi movie.
"But they need our help!" I tried to rub the tears away, but they only came back with more.
"I-I know Rúna, but we have to go and get help befo-" she was cut off by two gun shots and screams. I turned around to see my mommy looking at us, blood dripping from her mouth. She mouthed something then smiled before falling over. I couldn't believe that she was dead.
The man that was holding my mama shot at my mommy three more times. Her body moved from the impact but it was clear she was dead before those three shots. I was frozen by disbelief, Nyx pulled towards the shore away from them. My mama tried to fight back, and I thought I was seeing things but I swear she turned into a puma. Nyx pulled us onto land, helping me get up.
"Rúna we have to run and get help!" She finally snapped be out of the shock as I looked at her and nodded. We started to run the way into town before we hear two more gun shots. I was crying even more.
It took us 30 minutes to get to the nearest town. We got the police, they sent two cars out as two female officers stayed behind with us.
"I need you to tell me exactly what happened." So we told her. Nyx told her that we were playing in the lake when our mothers yelled for us to come back before the man came out, grabbing our mama by the throat, pointing the gun at mommy, shooting mommy 5 times before we ran. I didn't say anything about mama turning into a puma out because I swear I was just seeing things. Then we show we up here.
She was writing all of this down, which I didn't like to much.
"What are your names and what are your parents names?" She looked at Nyx first.
"Full name? As in our middle names too?" This whole time I was holding Nyx's hand, terrified that she would leave me too.
"Full name for you two, first and last for your parents."
"I'm Nyx Lucia Artemisia Ice, this is my twin sister Rúna Irene Kateri Ice, there's an accent over the u. Our parents names were Rhea Ice and Eos Ice." I had tears in my eyes just from hearing their names, knowing that we could never see them again...
