It had been 6 months since Rachel Berry and Noah Puckerman reunited. They were the best six months.

Unfortunately there was distance between them. Their relationship was fabulous, but Puck was currently deployed with the Air Force.

Puck tried to stay in touch as much as they could. He missed her more than anything. He knew she was starring as Fanny in Funny Girl. Rachel understood he had to be away, but he could hear it in her voice whenever they talked.

"Baby, you know if I could be there I would." Puck was explaining to Rachel on the phone. He was looking at a photo of the two of them together.

He regretted wasting so much time on all those women in high school. She was always Finn's BUT truth was... She was HIS first.

Rachel was his first actual girlfriend. He should've fought harder. But as the saying goes, things happen for a reason. He won't lie...

It hurt like hell that Finn was gone. He was his brother Despite all of the drama, in the end they were brothers. Rachel was the one who got away and he got her back and NOT letting go.

He was currently overseas deployed. But, he may or may not have something up his sleeve to make it up to her. He knew she was going to be a star. He believed in her just as she always had for him. She was the one who never treated him like a Lima Loser. He HATED that name. His mom, his sister, and he knows somehow Beth too, knew he wasn't a loser. Rachel, despite how messed up he was to her, she made him feel that he could be anybody. Even Coach Beiste.

"Noah it's okay. You're with me in spirit. You just have to find a way to make it up later to me." She said seductively.

Adjust...Adjust below..Geesh what happened to sweet Rachel from high school. Puck thought.

"Oh you better clear your calendar babe." Puck added.

They talked a bit longer until both had to return to their duties.

They hung up the phone, and Puck returned to his bunk. 

"Hey Puckerman, how is that goddess of yours?" One of his fellow Airmen asked.

"Soon. All I'll say is soon..." Puck replied. He looked at her photo one more time.

"I love you Rachel Berry..." Puck whispered before falling asleep.

Two weeks later....

Rachel was exhausted from rehearsals but THIS is what she trained for since she was little. Years of voice lessons and tap dancing and of course putting up with the bullying was for.

Tonight was Opening Night. She made it. She told them all. They didn't believe her. Blaine, Kurt, Sam & Mercedes, Artie, Tina, and even Sue were there? Her dads couldn't make it. Like seriously? They pushed all of this lessons on her and too busy to come? And least Noah had a valid reason. Shelby didn't come either. Noah's mom Deborah and sister Sarah were here too.

Rachel looked out from backstage. OMG Sebastian Smythe and a few of the Warblers had come too. There was a spot opened for a special guest who would always support her....Finn. She promised she would save him a front row seat.

Blaine and Tina came backstage. "Rachel!!! Are you ready?!!" Both cried.

Rachel giggled. "Yes your Funny Girl is ready." She said.

"Miss Berry five minutes until curtain call.. five minutes..." someone called outside her door.

Rachel took a deep breath. She missed Puck. So very much.

"Rachel...your stage awaits. Show them why YOU'RE THE GREATEST STAR." Blaine said.

Rachel hugged Blaine. He ALWAYS supported her no matter what.

"I'm ready...i just-" she bit back a tear.

"You know he loves you Rae." Blaine said.

"I know I love him too. Time to show all of them who I am and that I deserve to be here." Rachel said, taking one last look in the mirror.

Rachel walked to the stage to take her place. It's Showtime....

A few hours later....

Rachel was finishing "My man" and she couldn't stop thinking of Noah.  As much as she had cared for Finn, Jesse and even Brody...they all prepared her for her real love...Noah Puckerman.

After a standing ovation, Rachel was ready to head offstage when suddenly she saw someone standing backstage... No way... what?!!

Noah was here?!

Rachel thought she was seeing things. The others were surrounding him.

Rachel ran into his arms. She was ready to cry!

"Noah?! Are you really here??!!!" She exclaimed. 

"I'm here. Aren't you precious. Come here baby." Puck laughed, pulling Rachel into his arms. Kissing her like no tomorrow.

The others cleared their throats. Rachel didn't know how any of this was possible. Rachel pulled him alone into dressing room. 

"Okay explain!" Rachel demanded.

"Whoa babe! I told you I'd find a way to be here to see my Star on Broadway where she belonged. You didn't disappoint.  I am so proud of you. I know Finn is too. " Puck added.

Rachel led him to the sofa.

"I can't believe it." Rachel kept repeating.

Puck laughed and wouldn't let go. He was on very short leave and then head back to finish his duties. He just couldn't miss this moment.

"I am here for now, and I know this sucks, but one day it will be worth it. I love you Rachel." He reminded her.

"I love you too, Noah Puckerman." Rachel said.

"Wanna makeout?" Puck teased.

"Sure..." Rachel said, smiling at the memory where this all started. She crashed her lips with his.

Best Opening Night Ever!

Time jump a few days later...

After a week of Bliss, in between shows, Rachel was now at the airport to say goodbye to the love of her life. She knew it was coming, but doesn't make it hurt less.

She was in Noah's arms and foreheads pressed against one another's.

"I want you to know I love you Rachel. You are my true love and I'll never let it go this time. One day this will be behind us. "  He reminded her.

Rachel kissed him.

"I know. I'm so proud of you. I'm just going to miss you. I worry about other women sometimes." She admitted.

Puck shook his head. "No way. Only you. You keep me in line." He joked. Rachel slapped his arm. They laughed in between tears.

Puck held her closer. He hummed.

Rachel was in tears.

They kissed. They were afraid to let go.

"Promise that you will wait for me?" Puck asked.

"Always." Rachel promised.

Soon, it was time to part. One more kiss. One more hug before they part.

Noah picked up his bags and slowly walked away. He glanced back.

"Rachel?" He called.

"Yes Noah?"

"Worldwide baby. We will take on this World together. I love you." He promised.

Rachel cried. She waved. "Worldwide..."

As Noah walked towards his gate he made a vow.

"When I return she will become Rachel Puckerman. That's a promise Rach!" He vowed.

Duty calls.....
