Y/N sighs as she looks through the Miraculous salt on her computer. She's become practically addicted to it and agrees with so many points, but at the same time, sticks around, hoping the show will get better. She strokes her hand through her H/C hair.

"Y/N, honey, it's time for bed." Her mother calls.

Y/N groans. She's a legal adult, she doesn't need bedtimes. (Unless you guys are not, then in that case, ignore the last sentence.) She plugs in her earplugs, playing the last song on her playlist, which happens to be Stummer Shrei by Anna Blue. (Have a listen. It's really heartwrenching, even in German.) As Y/N closes her E/C eyes, she starts to drift off, the song becoming quieter as she falls deeper into her slumber.

Y/N opens her eyes and yawns, only to feel something different. She sits up, feeling slightly shorter/taller than before. How does she know she's smaller/taller? Her feet were definitely not that size when she went to bed. She goes to turn her head, only for her body to ignore her and just crawl to the ladder off the bed. Wait, LADDER?!

Y/N goes to move her hand in front of her face, which it ignores as it reaches for a familiar shirt.

"Holy crap." Y/N goes to say, but her mouth doesn't open.

Well, it's not her mouth, is it? The body walks over to her mirror to show Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

"No way!" Y/N exclaims, her voice only heard by herself in her own mind.

"Who said that?" Marinette asks, whipping her head around.

Y/N blinks, "You can hear me?"

Marinette answers, "Yes. Who are you?"

"I'm Y/N. I think I've just become, like, either your imaginary friend, your inner demon, your conscious, or your alternate personality." Y/N frowns.

After a long explanation, the two found out that they could communicate with just their thoughts. Y/N's become close to Marinette, and Marinette's bonded with Y/N. The girls just chuckle in each other's minds, and Y/N and Marinette have been able to let the other take control of Marinette's body. It was an interesting feeling, to say the least. After a while, about a week, Y/N's found a way to give Marinette privacy and to have privacy herself inside Marinette's mind. She's made herself a nice little mind room, kind of like Sherlock's mind palace. Marinette and Y/N meet each other in their dreams all the time. But so far, Y/N's found no sign of Tikki, so it must be before she gets the Miraculous.

"Marinette! Your alarm's been going off for fifteen minutes! You're gonna be late for your first day back at school." Sabine calls from downstairs.

Marinette groans, "Got it, Mom." (The only reason I said Mom is because it's an American show. I'm Aussie, so Y/N's dialogue will say Mum.)

Y/N immediately realises what day it is.

"Do you want me to take over while you're waking up, Nettie?" Y/N asks.

Marinette smiles, "That would be nice."

Y/N pushes herself into Marinette's body and picks out the regular Marinette outfit for today. Let's not change anything just yet. She quickly gets changed, trying to ignore Marinette's overly skinniness and failing.

"Marinette, how the heck are you so skinny from living in a bakery?!" Y/N asks Marinette mentally.

She feels Marinette shrug sleepily.

"Coming Mum!" Y/N calls as she walks down the stairs.

Y/N kisses Sabine on the cheek like she's done to her own parents so many times before.

"I bet you anything that Chloe will be in my class again." Y/N frowns, her acting skills coming through as she makes Marinette's breakfast the way she remembers Marinette doing it in the series.

"Four years in a row? Is that even possible?"

Y/N turns to Sabine and sighs, "Mum, her father is the mayor. It's entirely possible. Lucky me."

"I think you mean lucky me." Marinette protests.

"I'm keeping up appearances. Your parents don't know about me yet." Y/N frowns at Marinette.

"Don't say that! It's the start of the new year! I'm sure everything will be fine." Sabine smiles.

Y/N places the chocolate powder down, which causes a cascade of catastrophes.

"You, uh, wanna take over again, Nettie? At least to eat breakfast?" Y/N asks.

Marinette mentally nods, taking over her body again, starting to clean up with a sad look on her face. Sabine rubs Marinette's face, which both girls feel and get comforted.

"Lalalalala" Tom sings, turning to Marinette holding some wonderful smelling and looking macaroons.

"Oh, Dad, these are so awesome!" Marinette exclaims, getting a laugh out of her mental partner.

Tom smiles, "Glad you like 'em."

"Thanks, dad, my class will love them! You're the best!" Marinette smiles.

"We're the best, thanks to your amazing designs." Tom smiles.

Y/N nods, "He's got a point. You did put a lot of work into your parent's bakery symbol."

Marinette smiles and hugs her father, dropping the macaroons, which Tom immediately sees and catches with his foot, tossing it back up to his daughter, who catches it again as her Mother hands Marinette her backpack. Marinette gives both her parents a peck on the cheek before running out.

"Seeya tonight!" Marinette calls.

Marinette runs towards the light, which turns red just before she reaches the crossing. Y/N takes notice that almost every adult is looking at their phones.

"And they call us addicted."

Marinette gasps as an old man starts walking across the street.

"Grab him before he gets hurt!" Y/N exclaims.

Marinette turns and sees a car coming towards the man, not making any indication of slowing down. Marinette runs onto the road and grabs the old man, pulling him out of harm's way, tripping over her own feet as she makes it out of the way of the car.

"Thank you, miss. Oh, what a disaster." He frowns as he sees the macaroons spread all over the floor.

Y/N recognises him as Fu.

"Why didn't I recognise him earlier?" Y/N asks herself.

People step on her macaroons that are on the ground, causing Marinette to whimper in shock and sadness.

"Don't worry, I'm no stranger to disasters. Besides, I still have a few left." Marinette smiles and offers Fu a macaroon.

"At least the ants will enjoy the bakery's food." Y/N jokes, getting a chuckle out of Marinette.

"Mmm, delicious." Fu smiles.

Suddenly, the girls hear the bell ring.

"Oh, no, I'm late! Have a good day sir!" Marinette exclaims.

Y/N takes over her body, causing Marinette's speed to increase slightly so she can get to her class at least a little bit on time.

"Thanks, N/N." Marinette smiles.

"You're welcome. Now, which way? I've only been in your head for a few weeks." Y/N nods back.

Marinette directs Y/N to the classroom, where they burst in, but somehow don't trip.

"Nino, why don't you have a seat in the front row this year?" The teacher asks.

Nino moves from his seat in the back and sits in the front, begrudgingly as Y/N sits in Marinette's seat, where Marinette takes over her body again. Marinette regrets taking over because as soon as she does, Chloe's hand slams into the table.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Chloe sneers.

Marinette sighs, "Here we go again."

"That's my seat!"

"Tell her that you didn't see her name on it!" Y/N smirks.

"But, Chloe, this has always been my seat..." Marinette frowns.

Sabrina appears at Marinette's other side.

"Not anymore. New School, new year, new seats!" Sabrina smirks.

Chloe sneers, "So why don't you sit beside that new girl over there?" pointing at Alya.

Marinette goes to protest when Chloe continues.

"Listen, Adrien's arriving today, and since that's going to be his seat, this is going to be my seat. Get it?"

Y/N asks, "Can I take over? Please? I wanna slap some sense into this girl!"

Marinette mentally shushes Y/N and asks Chloe, "Who's Adrien?"

The two idiots laugh at Marinette.

"Can you believe she doesn't know who Adrien is? What rock have you been living under?"

Y/N scoffs, "One that protected us from you while we were in it."

"He's only a famous Model." Sabrina frowns.

Chloe smirks, "And I'm his best friend! He adores me. Now, go on, Move!"

Y/N growls, "May I please take over?"

"Hey, who elected you queen of seats?" Alya asks.

"No. School's not a good place to come out and attack Chloe." Marinette scolds.

Chloe sneers, "Ooh, look Sabrina! We got a do-gooder in our class this year! What are you gonna do, super-newbie? Shoot beams at me with your glasses?"

"Wouldn't you like to know? Come on." Alya growls as she grabs Marinette's hand, dragging her to Alya's seat.

Marinette trips, spilling a whole bunch of macarons, which Y/N takes over Marinette's arms and hands, her quick reflexes kicking into Marinette's body, catching a few Macarons. Marinette, who is still in control of her own mouth, apologises profusely.

"Has everyone found their seats?" The teacher asks.

Alya smiles, "Chillax, girl, no biggie."

Marinette sighs, "I so wish I could handle Chloe the way you do."

"You mean the way Majestia does. She says "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing." Well, that girl over there" Alya gestures to Chloe, "is evil, and we are the good people. We can't let her get away with it."

Marinette frowns, "Easier said than done. She likes to make my life miserable."

Alya smirks, "That's cause you let her, girl. You just need more confidence."

Marinette picks up a Macaron and hands it to Alya.

"Marinette."

"Alya."

"Y/N." Y/N shrugs.

"Y/N!" Marinette frowns.

Y/N jokes, "That's my name!"

The two girls, minus Y/N, eat the Macarons.

"Can I eat half of yours? I haven't actually tasted anything for a while!" Y/N asks.

Marinette rolls her eyes and lets Y/N take over her mouth, and Y/N chomps on the macaron, melting at the taste of the macaron.

"For those of you who don't know me yet, I'm Miss Bustier, I'll be your teacher this year." The teacher smiles.

Y/N narrows her eyes at Miss Bustier.

"Something about her rubs me the wrong way, Nettie."

Marinette ignores her.

After the lesson, the teens get up, grabbing their bags.

"For those of you who have PE, Mr D'Argencourt is expecting you at the Stadium. The rest of you can head over to the library." Bustier smiles.

"KIM!" Ivan yells.

Marinette turns in shock, seeing Ivan about to punch Kim.

"Ivan, what is going on?!" Bustier asks.

Ivan replies, "It's Kim! I'm so gonna-"

"Ivan, go to the principal's office now!" Bustier orders.

Ivan scrunches up a piece of paper and walks to the principal's office.

"May I take over, Nettie? I have something I want to say to the teacher."

Marinette thinks for a moment, debating it. She agrees, then turns to Alya.

"You go ahead, I'll be there in a minute." Marinette smiles.

Alya walks towards the library as Marinette turns to Miss Bustier, Y/N taking over.

"Ma'am, shouldn't you have sent both Kim and Ivan to the Principal's office? It was obvious Kim did something to upset him. Wouldn't it have been logical to have sent them both to get both sides of the story and get the right person punished?" Y/N asks.

She may not like Miss Bustier, but maybe she can make Bustier a better teacher before Chameleon or Ladybug ever happens.

Miss Bustier frowns, "Marinette, who's the teacher here?"

Y/N answers, "A teacher's job is to teach the students and help them when they have a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all I saw happen there was you saw a fifth of a story and accused just the one student without hearing the full story." She pauses, then frowns, "Sorry for stepping out of line. I'll be in the library."

Y/N walks out, letting Marinette take over again.

Y/N, to herself, smirks, "Seed of self-doubt planted."

Marinette asks, "What was that about, N/N?"

Y/N replies, "I saw Kim handing Ivan something, which obviously got him mad. It could've been a form of bullying, it could've been boys being boys, but Kim should be punished as well, not just Ivan."

Marinette nods, understanding. She opens the library, walking to Alya.

"Sorry about that. Let's continue with the work."

Alya and Marinette do the work, Y/N helping Marinette now and then. Not that Alya knows that. Pretty soon, a crash happens, knocking everyone out of their seats. People panic, running around while Marinette tries to recuperate. Y/N feels the possible concussion going through Marinette's head as well. Alya grabs the girl's wrist and drags her to the TV, where they see a stone monster terrorising the city, calling out Kim's name.

Marinette asks, "What's going on? It has Ivan's voice?"

Alya smiles, "It's as if he's been turned into a real-life supervillain!" She pulls out her phone, going through it. "GPS, check. Battery, check. I am so out of here!"

Marinette calls, "Wait, where are you going?!"

Alya answers, "Where there's a supervillain, there's always a superhero close behind! No way I'm missing this!"

Y/N mentally yells, "This is real life, Alya! You could die!"

If Marinette and Y/N were standing side by side, they'd be exchanging concerned glances, but it's difficult to exchange glances when the two reside in the same body.

At home, Marinette and Y/N watch the news as Stoneheart attacks Paris.

"I hate first days back at school." Marinette mutters.

"Same here, Nettie."

Marinette suddenly looks down to see a box.

"What's this doing here?" She asks aloud.

Y/N sits back in her mind spot and enjoys the show she's about to receive. Marinette opens the box, revealing two ladybug stud earrings. A glowing red ball appears, causing Marinette to throw away the earrings and close her eyes. Marinette opens her eyes after the glow disappears to reveal the kwami Tikki. Marinette screams, kicking her chair out from underneath here.

"AHH! A bug! A mouse! A bug-mouse!" Marinette exclaims, pointing at Tikki.

Tikki smiles, "It's okay. Don't be scared."

That was evidently the wrong thing to do because now, Marinette is throwing things at Tikki in fear, screaming more.

"AHH! BUG-MOUSE TALKS!"

Y/N is laughing so hard from her spot in the mind that Marinette can hear her and is mentally screaming to stop.

"Nettie, if you were a dude, you'd be thinking it was a genie from inside earrings instead of a lamp."

Tikki continues to try to calm Marinette down, including saying her name. Marinette slams a cup above Tikki.

"Okay, if that makes you feel better." Tikki smiles.

"What are you? And how do you know my name?" Marinette demands.

Y/N sighs, remembering this part.

"I am a kwami, and my name is Tikki! Now just let me explain." Tikki smiles.

Y/N sighs, walking into her mind palace library, pulling out her book of the Miraculous, which she has kept from Marinette. Not that Marinette could read it. She could faintly hear Marinette start to call for her parents, but she shakes her head, getting her worries out of her own head. Oddly enough, she's reminded of that Doctor Who episode where Clara Oswald was replaced with a Zygon. She goes back to Marinette's eyes to see Marinette protesting.

"There's gotta be some mistake. The only power I have is super-awkwardness."

"What about me? I'm pretty sure I count as a superpower." Y/N scoffs.

"I know, Alya would know. She's my friend, well, at least I think she would. She loves superheroes! She'd totally be up for the job! You should go see her." Marinette smiles, trying to get the hero responsibility off her.

Tikki protests, "Marinette! You're the chosen one!"

Y/N smirks, "The ocean chose you for a reason."

Marinette deadpans at Y/N, who laughs. She then turns serious.

"Look, Marinette, if you don't do this, the person who turned Ivan into Stoneheart will attack our families and our friends, turning them into beings similar to him. Us too. You have to do it. Somewhere along the lines, you were tested and you passed the test for being a hero. No one else did. You did it somehow, whether it be by your caring nature or something else. Someone saw something in you that you couldn't see in yourself and chose you. You're going to be fine, Nettie. You have me with you every step of the way." Y/N encourages.

After the encouraging words from Y/N and some explanations from Tikki, Marinette puts on the earrings.

"Okay, so I just have to break the object where the whatchamacallit is hiding?" Marinette asks.

Tikki corrects, "It's called an Akuma, which you must then capture."

"And purify." Y/N adds.

Marinette nods, "Capture it. Got it. And what was that charm thing again?"

Y/N, who's already written everything on Marinette's mind walls, answers, "Lucky Charm."

Tikki explains, "Lucky Charm. It's your secret superpower."

"Not really a secret. Everyone in Paris is gonna know about it sooner or later." Y/N scoffs.

Marinette groans, "Oh this is all going too fast, Tikki! I don't know if I'm gonna be able to pull this off!"

Y/N smiles, "Sure you are. But before you do anything, can you please, think of a Ladybug inspired super-suit, and with your awesome designing skills, keep it in your mind's eye? I do NOT want to be in a body running around Paris in a spectacled onesie. Be sure to add pockets and armour, please. Maybe even a jacket."

Tikki smiles, "Trust yourself, Marinette. Just say, "Spots on"."

Marinette asks, "Spots on?"

Tikki goes into the earrings, causing Marinette to freak out.

"Woah, what is happening!?" Marinette exclaims.

Y/N yells, "Keep the costume you want in your mind!"

The two feel a magic fabric forming over Marinette's body and face. When the light dies down, Marinette looks at herself in the mirror, seeing a one-piece super-suit with pockets, armour on the shoulders, knees, and chest area, a red mask covered in black spots, a jacket with a hood that can come down and a yoyo at her waist. She definitely did not put that on.

"How does this thing come off?" Marinette asks, looking for a zipper or buttons. "Tikki, if you can hear me, I want my normal clothes back. I'm not going anywhere."

Y/N giggles, "Tikki went into your earrings. She is now part of the suit. The yoyo must be something past Ladybug's had."

The news starts up again.

"Stoneheart is heading towards the Montparnasse Tower. The monster appears to be unstoppable."

Marinette looks at the news to see, right behind Stoneheart, is her new friend Alya.

"Oh no, Alya!" Marinette gasps.

"Marinette! Did you get home okay?" Sabine asks from downstairs.

Y/N immediately takes over Marinette's body and keeps her mouth shut, climbing through the trapdoor to her balcony.

"Mum can't know at all." Y/N frowns, letting Marinette back into control.

"Okay, I have special powers, and apparently this amazing super yoyo thing?" Marinette asks.

Marinette throws the yoyo, which hooks onto a stone gargoyle. She pulls on the string, which then pulls her, causing her to yell as she's flung across Paris. Y/N just rolls her eyes as the wind whips into her face. Y/N smiles as she feels the adrenaline in Marinette's body. Suddenly, the girls crash into a certain leather-clad male, the yoyo wrapping around both bodies, making them swing like a wrecking ball.

"I came in like a wrecking ball!" Y/N jokingly sings.

"Well hey, nice of you to drop in." The boy jokes.

Marinette smiles, "I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose."

As the two bodies untangle, Y/N starts to feel like a third wheel that only one can hear. She looks at Cat Noir and frowns at the fact he didn't add any more armour or anything extra to conceal his identity.

"I bet your the other person my kwami told me about. I'm... hmm... Cat Noir. Yeah. Cat Noir. And you?" The boy smiles.

Marinette, who's still struggling with her yoyo, stammers, "I'm Ma- Um, er-" Suddenly, her yoyo comes down, whacking Cat Noir in the head with his staff. "Madly clumsy. I'm so clumsy."

Marinette looks down, ashamed.

"No sweat, clumsy girl. I'm new to the ropes too." Cat Noir smiles.

Nearby, a building collapses.

"Go, Nettie! Sometime before all of Paris is destroyed!" Y/N frowns.

Marinette notices Cat Noir running towards the falling building. Although, it's more like Pole vaulting. Cat Noir gets a staff while Marinette gets a yoyo.

"Hey, where are you going?!" She exclaims.

"To save Paris, right?" He smirks cockily as he vaults over the building.

Marinette mutters, "Trust yourself, trust yourself."

She throws her yoyo, uncontrollably being flung over the city.

Marinette reaches the stadium where she sees Cat Noir and Stoneheart battling, although Cat Noir is just blocking punches.

"Marinette, you have to help him!" Y/N orders

Marinette asks, "Can't you do it?"

Y/N frowns, "Then you'd never learn anything!"

Stoneheart suddenly grows bigger.

"Where are you, partner?!" Cat Noir asks.

"That stupid cat hit him!" Y/N growls. "You have to save him now! Before he gets himself killed! Please, Nettie! It's life or death." She pleads.

Marinette says aloud, "I can't, I'm not gonna be able to do it."

Y/N takes over Marinette's head and turns it to see Alya about to be crushed by a football/soccer net. Cat Noir notices and quickly throws his staff, protecting Alya, but getting caught by Stoneheart.

"Do you see why you need to do it? If Cat Noir couldn't have saved her, you have to be able to save her!" Y/N pleads, getting desperate.

"What are you waiting for, super red bug? The world is watching you!" Alya calls after noticing Marinette in the Ladybug costume.

Marinette hesitates for a moment before getting enough courage to jump down without Y/N and wraps her yoyo around Stoneheart's feet.

"Animal cruelty? How shameful!" She sasses, pulling his legs, causing him to lose his grip on Cat Noir who then rolls into the net.

Y/N smirks, "What a barrel roll!"

Marinette smiles, "Sorry I was late Cat Noir."

"It's cool, Wonder Bug. Now let's kick his rocky behind!" Cat Noir smirks.

Marinette quickly grabs his tail.

"Wait, haven't you noticed? He gets bigger and stronger with every attack. We have to do something different." Marinette frowns, thinking.

Y/N nods, agreeing.

"He's made of stone. Something has to be normalish and crushable." Y/N supplies to Marinette's thoughts.

"Different how?" Cat Noir asks, not hearing Y/N at all.

"I don't know..." Marinette frowns.

"Okay then, let's use our powers!" Cat Noir smirks as he calls on his power. "Cataclysm! Apparently, I destroy whatever I touch."

Marinette mutters, "I don't need a superpower to destroy everything."

Cat Noir tests his power on the net, making Marinette yell at him not to. Y/N takes over as the net falls apart, grabbing his tail in annoyance.

"Are you an idiot? You called on your power, which you only had one shot to use, and now you have only five minutes before you transform back! Weren't you listening to your kwami? What did you plan on using the power on? You can't use it on Stoneheart anymore, and you couldn't use it on him anyway, either you'd kill him, which you can't do, or you'd make him insanely bigger! Use your head! Now sit there like a good cat, WHILE I THINK OF A PLAN!" Y/N scolds him.

Cat Noir shrugs sheepishly, "I guess I was a little excited about my new life."

Y/N retreats back into her spot, letting Marinette take over.

"Up to me. Lucky Charm!" She throws her yoyo up into the air, a wetsuit forming and falling into her hands.

Y/N stares at the intricate details of the suit. That's some powerful magic.  Maybe the suit should've been designed to look a little bit more like that wetsuit.

"Superpower." Cat Noir jokes.

Marinette frowns, "My kwami said to break the object where the whatchamacallit- the Akuma is hiding."

Cat Noir points and frowns, "Well, he's made entirely out of stone."

"I've already said that. Look down a little, Nettie."

Marinette notices, "His right hand! It's closed! He never opens it. It's like the Russian dolls! The object isn't on him, it's hidden in his fist!"

Y/N claps at Marinette figuring out where the Akuma is.

Cat Noir asks, "So what's your plan?"

Y/N looks carefully through Marinette's vision, which isn't like the TV show. But she feels Marinette's intelligence increase as she locks onto Stoneheart's hand, Alya, the tap, and the hose just at their feet.

"This." Marinette smiles as she ties the wetsuit onto the hose.

She then ties her yoyo around Cat Noir's legs, causing him to panic.

"Don't resist, trust me!" She smiles.

As she throws him towards Stoneheart, Cat Noir yells, "This girl is CRAZYYYYYYYY!"

Y/N scoffs, "He doesn't know how right he is."

"Catch me if you can!" Marinette smirks, holding the wetsuit.

Stoneheart opens his right hand, dropping the object and catching Marinette. Y/N is just cheering.

"And now, Alya, the tap!" Marinette calls.

Y/N frowns, "Calling her by her name was probably a bad idea."

Alya obeys, turning on the tap, causing the wetsuit to expand at a quick pace, which then makes Stoneheart drop Marinette. Marinette runs and crushes the akumatised object under her feet. A purple butterfly flies out and Y/N goes to take over but retreats at just the last moment. She wants to tell Hawk Moth off. A crash is heard behind Marinette, causing her to turn to the purified Ivan and Cat Noir on the ground.

"This girl is awesome! She's crazy awesome!" Cat Noir smiles.

Y/N takes over Marinette's face and narrows her eyes at Cat Noir in a warning, before letting Marinette take over again. Marinette looks down at the akumatised object as it turns to a piece of paper.

"What's going on? What am I doing here?" Ivan asks.

Cat Noir smiles, "You were incredible, Miss, uh, Bug Lady. You did it!"

Marinette smiles, "We did it, partner." secretly including Y/N.

"Pound it!" The two say in sync.

Suddenly, Cat Noir's ring beeps and flashes on the last pad.

"You should get going, our identities must remain secret." Marinette tells him.

Cat Noir bows, "Farwell M'lady." As he runs away, he continues, "Let's do this again soon, okay?"

Marinette giggles, "Not too soon, I hope."

Y/N and Marinette turn to Ivan, who looks heartbroken and guilty. Marinette opens the paper to frown at what's written on it.

"You don't even have the guts to tell Mylene you love her. Wuss." Marinette reads, then turns to comfort Ivan.

Y/N sighs, "When we finally meet the guy responsible for turning Ivan evil, I'm taking over. I'm gonna kick that jerk so hard in the butt that his vertebrae will pop out of his mouth one by one like a Pez dispenser."

Marinette mentally shushes Y/N.

"Kim wrote it. He's always making fun of me." Ivan frowns.

Marinette puts her hand on his shoulder and smiles, "You know, you shouldn't get so bent out of shape about that. There's no shame in telling someone you love them, Ivan."

Y/N yells, "Red Alert! Abort! Abort! Abort!"

"Hey, How do you know my name, miss?" Ivan asks.

Marinette then realises why Y/N started yelling.

Alya suddenly gets everyone's attention, "Uncanny! Amazing! Spectacular! Are you gonna be protecting Paris from now on? How did you get your powers?" Marinette starts to walk away as Alya continues talking. "Did you get stung by a radioactive Ladybug? Oh, I've got a ton of questions to ask you, miss...?"

Y/N takes over, turning to Alya, "I think I'll go by Ladybug. Although, I will take other name ideas. I'll tell Paris how I got my powers another day. No, I'm not a rip-off of Spiderman. Bug out!"

She throws the yoyo away, not letting Alya get any more information.

Inside Marinette's room, the trio of Y/N, Marinette, and Tikki watch the news.

"And thanks to this amateur footage, the Parisians now know the identity of their heroes!" Nadja Chamack explains.

"We did it, Tikki!" Marinette smiles, referring to Y/N.

Tikki smiles, "See? You were up to it!"

"Marinette! Dinnertime!" Sabine calls.

Y/N gasps, "FOOD!"

Marinette chuckles at the voice in her head as she runs to the dinner table.

"I am pleased to announce that we will be organising a huge celebration in honour of our cities new protectors, Ladybug and Cat Noir." The Mayor smiles.

Y/N scoffs, "He could care less. He just throws money at things and expects the bad to go away."

As the family eats, Y/N shudders inside Marinette's mind, remembering what happens next.

"Nettie, finish eating as fast as you can. You're gonna want to talk to Tikki. I have a bad feeling." Y/N whispers.

Marinette eats quickly and washes her dishes.

"Oh my!" Sabine exclaims, getting Marinette's attention.

"Just as Paris is about to celebrate the appearance of our two new superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, a new wave of panic is sweeping across the capital as dozens of people are mysteriously transformed into stone monsters! It's simply unbelievable!" Nadja reports.

Marinette runs up her stairs and turns her computer back on, watching the news from there. Y/N takes over her hands and opens another tab, searching for a way to keep Sabine and Tom away from the stone beings.

"These victims transformed into stone beings are still like statues. Police are perplexed. What will happen to them? Will they come to life or be frozen in time forever?"

Marinette, who's still controlling her head, asks, "Tikki, what's going on?"

"Did you capture the Akuma?" Tikki asks.

"What's capturing the Akuma got to do with these other stone beings?" Marinette asks.

Y/N takes her hands off the keyboard, giving up the search and relinquishing her control. The only people seemingly unaffected are just hiding inside their own houses.

"An Akuma can multiply! That's why it must be captured! If Ivan's emotions become negative again, the Akuma will turn him back into Stoneheart! He'll control those other stone beings and bring them to life to serve as his army!" Tikki explains.

Y/N feels Marinette's fear and guilt going right through the body.

"That means this is all my fault!" Marinette frowns. "I knew it! See Tikki? I'm not cut out to be a superhero! I'm only gonna keep messing up!" she turns away from Tikki.

Y/N yells, "I messed up too, Nettie! We're just kids! We're gonna mess up, but we can't let that stop us!"

Tikki unknowingly agrees with Y/N, "Keep calm, it was only your first time. You're going to go back and capture Stoneheart's Akuma and do it successfully!"

Marinette turns back to Tikki, "I can't! I told you, I'm clumsy! I create disaster all the time! I'll only make things worse. For me, for you, for everyone! Cat Noir would be better off without me. I quit."

Y/N feels the seriousness in her voice and the guilt in Marinette's heart. It hurts Y/N too.

"Only Ladybug can capture akumas and repair damage done by supervillains, Marinette!" both Y/N and Tikki say at the same time.

Marinette walks to her mirror, sorrow and guilt just drawn on her face. Y/N collapses on the floor in her mind-palace, the guilt affecting her.

"If Cat Noir can't capture akumas, then you're gonna have to find another Ladybug. I told you, I'm not cut out to be Ladybug." Marinette frowns. "I'm sorry Tikki."

She starts to take off the earrings, making Tikki panic.

"No, don't do tha-"

Suddenly, Tikki disappears.

Y/N cries out, "Marinette, please!"

"Tikki?" Marinette asks, seeing she's alone.

Y/N makes Marinette turn to the mirror, causing Marinette to see Y/N in her reflection.

"Marinette, you're not that bad! You're just as capable as anyone else. Even more so! Alya doesn't have enough fear to keep her alive!" Y/N exclaims.

Marinette frowns, "I want to be alone, N/N."

Y/N goes to say something, only to find herself stuck in the Mind Palace. She can't even talk to Marinette. Y/N frowns, only able to watch Marinette's view.

"Marinette... I wish you good luck."

A/N: WHOO! That was a doozy. The idea wouldn't leave my head. I'm not sure if I'll continue this or not, but that was fun. I take requests on what Y/N will do. Leave comments and vote, please!
