Lana's POV

I rolled on my bed for the umpteenth time,trying to get a nice sleep.

   You can't fight the rain when its already falling
  You can't hide the truth from yourself when you're in it
  No one can replace you...
  I'll always be drawing you closer and closer....

     That's my ringtone. I pick up the phone to see its an unknown number. I sit up and run my fingers through my messy hair before answering.

  "Hello?" I quietly said,waiting for the caller's voice at the other end of the call. I could hear some shuffling,sound of lockers closing and feet's.

    "Lana Wright?"

  " Hey Principal " I said wincing to the throb I just felt at the back of my head. Why was he calling me?!

   " I assumed you already at Maya's house,right? "

   Maya?Who's Maya?Oh!Shit!

    "Um....Yeah. I'm almost there .Thanks for calling again. Bye!" I hung up as fast as I could and glance to my alarm clock on my bedside table. Its fucking 6 : 02 PM. How the hell did I wake up this late! I remember I woke up this morning shivering and with a throbbing headache. Every time I moved my head,the pain worsened ,so I decided to just lay still in bed.

    I remember someone brought me home and me swearing not to drink ever again. I remembers after drinking and when the party was almost over
...No..that part when i  started crying. I just can't remember who brought me home!

   I didn't intend to get drunk last night but when it turned to a full House ,they started beer pong and drinking games, I just couldn't say no. But I didn't believe I would wake up later so late . I pushed back my blankets ,got out of bed and searched for for my slippers before I made it to the bathroom, tossing all my clothing's on the sink. I turned on the faucet of the shower and shivered a bit to the cold water. Lovely, I put on black pants,black tank top, yellow jacket and white vans . I indolently walked down stairs , to the kitchen. I sit on the floor and open a box of pizza . I take a picture and captioned...Who watched me at Sectionals? I like the picture and posted it on WVH app .

   I totally forgot about the tutoring lessons . I totally forgot. I wanted to get out today,maybe go to the mall or the park or other places. But once again , this school always have their way of twisting up everything and continuously ruining my plans . I run back to the room,to get my History textbook,school ID ,my phone and my keys.

Okay. I've seen so many mansions but,this one,this one looks like a freaking castle or something. It covered up the space for three mansions . it was painted white and ash. It had two large fountains in it. Who builds two fountains in one house ? The gate opened ,after series of me speaking into the intercom stating ,

And why I was here.

  It took about two minutes before the gate finally opened. I drove inside slowly parking behind the Red Chevrolet.

   " We've been expecting you" One of the security guard said " Took you ages to get here" he says

  I glared at him " Took you ages to open up the gate" I say to him and when I saw
him stutter, I said " Duh! I guess we're even" I rolled my eyes and walked past him to the front door.

  The front door opened and a girl with brown curly hair longer than mine slide down the banisher and landed on the floor with a thud

  " Ouch! " I say and put my hand on my mouth before rushing towards her " Are you okay?"

  She smiled before groaning a bit " Yeah. I'm fine" She extended her hand out for me to shake " I'm Maya"

  " Lana"

  " Ooh! We're rhyming. Lana and Maya Cool." she smiled again. I'm already loving this girl.

She gestured for us to go upstairs and about a minute or so we were in her room. It was like an hotel suite. It was painted ash and wine and had fancy wall drapes in every corner of the room. A flat TV screen was plastered on the wall facing her bed and she also had sets of Speakers and an Xbox.

   "For starters you should know I hate History. Like I hate it so so much. I don't know a single thing about it" she giggled before bringing out her History textbook from her bag .

  " Well..History ain't that hard. Its just about reading and knowing who's who" I shrugged before sitting on the chair opposite her and bringing out my textbook,notes and my fancy ball pen.

  She scoffed " Don't be boring , Lana! You're really popular hey"

  I shrugged " How did you know that? "

  " Well...when I downloaded the WVH app and signed in ..The first friend suggestion that was sent to me was Lana Wright and I was like ..wow ,she's gonna be my fucking tutor!" We both laughed.

   " I'm a cheerleader ,nothing much"

   " Arrgh! I hate cheerleaders. No offence but they can be all snotty,slutty and rude ya know."

I nodded my head. Yeah people like Kayla can be that. Not me though. I'm pretty much the most loyal girl in the squad. Maybe that's why I was chosen as head captain. I decided to change the topic

  " So..um were you in school today?"

She nodded and smiled . " They're a lot of hot boys and they're all so fucking rich! " she smirked

  "You are also hot and rich as fuck!"
 
" Datum! So you also swear! I'm not rich"

" Hello! You're living in a freaking castle Maya!"

  " Its not a castle and hey I've seen your house its so big!"

  I laugh and smiled shyly.

  " Well ..this ain't our house. Its a family house which means everyone in our family actually saved up money to buy this house. We're 11 in this house! " Maya said and laughed
 

   " Okay! Wow..that's cool. Eleven?" I raised an eyebrow

  " Yeah. My parents,me and my brother ,my five cousins and their parents. " she rolled her eyes

   " Must be really lively here hey" She shakes her head

    I clear my throat and glance to my time.. 6:42pm

  " We better get started, but I'm feeling really thirsty" I say and she shows me the kitchen before going back to her room. I opened the mini fridge and brought out orange juice.

  " Ouch!" Someone yelled and it was coming from the back of the dumb waiter they had in the kitchen . It was a guys voice and he was groaning now. My feet start moving on my own to the back of the dumb waiter

  " Zayn?" I say clearly not believing why he was here. Was he Maya's cousin. Nah. Can't be

  " Hey" he says and goes back to what he was doing .

He was fixing Maya's tap or something but he had a screwdriver in his hand and a towel. I drop the glass of juice on the counter and kept the carton back in the fridge . Few seconds,he walks into the main kitchen

  " What are you doing here?" Zayn asks and I shrugged

   " I'm tutoring Maya" he nodded and turns back to leave but he stops and looks back to me

   " I don't live here if that's what you're thinking. Hope you slept well after that party,right? "

  I cranked my head to the side. Slept well? Party?

  " What party?" I snap

  " You don't remember? You crying in my arms? Me driving you home? " He  raised an eyebrow . OMG! Can he be any less hotter?!

  " No! " I don't really remember

  " Guess you were drunk as fuck then " he shakes his head " By the way, I live next door " he goes back to the tap.

  I don't really remember. Was he one that drove me home ? I remember someone drove me home but I don't really remember who!

Throwing my bag on my bed ,I kicked off my shoes and stared at my number on my hand before saving it to my contacts on my phone. Maya was really great to tutor. She made it fun and I never knew I enjoyed history this much until now. We studied of Christopher Columbus and how he formed America and all but we really didn't make it past that before the session was off. I left there at 8 , which was a bit later than I expected. We talked about so many things and I showed her few pictures on what her school looks like and the people in it. She already hates Kayla .

    I heard a knock on the front door and I rushed downstairs. Maybe it was mum or dad or Maya.

   I opened the door and saw a sad Kim standing on our porch.

  I sucked my upper lip and opened the door wider for her to get in

  " I'm so sorry Lana?" She says as soon as I locked the door

  "For what?". I scoff and she gives me the  you-know-what-i-mean look .

  I sighed " I'm not mad at you Kim. I'm jot. You're my best friend"

"I slept with Mason last Sunday" she says and covers her mouth

  I smile and then raised my eyebrow  "Wow"

  I was totally speechless. It was strange for Kim to have a boyfriend since she said she wasn't getting one till she was twenty and she's also a virgin. She clearly said she was waiting till she go married. Kim's a goth chick on the outside but she's really sweet and shy once you get to know her. Not only am I shocked that this is coming from her but she actually waited this long to let me know.

    " It's the third time we've done it" I sighed
  "Kim. Do you guys like each other ?"

She shakes her head " There's no feelings involved. When he's sad or I'm sad ..we do that to make ourselves feel better." She ran a hand through her hair "I'm so sorry for not telling you this Lana"

  I scoff " Sorry? You guys were really secretive about it. Thumbs up for that! I wanna go to bed Kim.. I'll see you in school tomorrow " I say plainly , my eyes on the door and when she gets the signal ,she nods and walks out. I slam the door shut loud enough for her to know I'm mad.

  I plop on the couch. How could they?! What the fuck ? Mason and Kim shagging ? Who could have thought.

My mum bubbled and I see I  have two texts from Kim and Maya

   Maya - What are you wearing yo school tomorrow. Lol I'm wearing a onesie

I quickly replied

Me - I'm wearing under wears only

Kim - I know you're so mad at me right now .  I really am sorry

  I check my WVH app and see i already have 2014 likes on my post. A comment catches my eyes

  Zayn Arthur -  I watched you!.

  What the !? No. He can't comment on my post. They're gonna think we're friends . No! I delete the comment and my phone vibrates again to another notification .
