Talk To The Sky With Me
"I'm on the road, you'll see me when I get there." Eren stated, grumpy as he ended the call with his still talking best friend. He couldn't understand why the man called him every single day they have work, as theyre both in the same industry, acting.
It's not like he's upset about it, but sometimes, just sometimes he'll want to tape the little blond man's mouth shut.
Smiling inwardly at the thought, he pulled into a parking lot, searching for his exact place in the front of the building, doubled in size. There was always a few spaces available, since he didnt really like using the underground parking.
Letting out a deep breathe, Eren jumped out of his truck before slamming the door shut. Cold air immediately attacked their face and hands, making him shudder and run towards the gray and white structure.
"I knew I should have brought my damn coat."
----------
The smell of sickly wind rushed past me, hair blowing wildly. Huffing, the large ribcage beneath me expanded and let go far too quickly, signaling that my horse was nearing his limit.
The ground cracked and shook, as though we were a stampede, and screams echoed in my bleeding ears painfully, my vision going in and out of focus. Glancing over my shoulder, I saw blond tangled strands, messy and the ends crusted together from dried blood. Armin's face was so very pale, eyes looking around in utter misery, lip pulled back into a nervous bite. I could see the tears brimming his waterline, knowing I was no different there if the sting was nothing to go by.
I felt my heart drop to my stomach and turned back around. Swallowing, my throat was dry, and i knew there was blood inside, rather it be drom my tongue or lips, it was too much.
breathing no longer felt like second nature.
We raced past the far too familiar sight of stained grass and half eaten bodies, limbs mangled. I felt myself start to choke, chest tightening as I saw a face that shouldn't have been there-
"STOP!" And just like that, everyone stopped and a few of the people laying on the ground looked over at our Director, who held a microphone in his hand. We slowed our horses and stared at him from across the field. "Eren, you're the main character, youre missing a few expressions! Try to work on them during breaking." He said, hand going up and gesturing to us that it was, in fact, lunch time now.
The camera crew was the first to move, then some of the 'dead' got up too. I signed, the horse beneath me cooled, now just looking around, before it jerked its head to the side.
Then, I felt a hand touch my shoulder. Turning over, I glared at however it was, before realizing it was Armin, who just smiled in return.
"Hey, dont worry about it. Youre doing a great job!" He exclaimed, voice cheery and grin bright, reminding me alot of Kam. Despite being mad at him for the call earlier, I could only smile back.
It was rather contagious.
As the animal staff wandered over, we both got off of the beautiful creatures, legs stiff. "Everyone is doing well..." I started as we walked on the fake red liquid. "We're still stuck on this scene because of me."
I looked down at my best friend, who had a thoughtful expression. "Dont you think you're overrating yourself? No one put that pressure on you, and no one thinks that either." The blond said, no sugar in his words. Taking a moment to think about what he said, I let out a sigh and smiled. "Youre right."
"Damn straight I am."
We both laughed and my heart felt just a little bit lighter.

What a day, I'm exhausted!" Armin yawned, hand barely reached his mouth, the books in his short arms almost falling from the movement.
Eren looked at him and hummed, bored. He found it a little odd how well fitting everyone was for their characters, since his blond friend was pretty much the same as the show they're participating in.
"Yoohoooo, my little baby!"
Of course, Hanji was no exception to his earlier thoughts. "Oh shit." He said, breaking into a dash, hoping he'd get to his truck before they got to him. His fingertips barely touched the black sleek paint before he was tackled, ice breaking under his and the added weight.
"Fuck, get off me!" Eren growled out, cheek pressing uncomfortably to the thin sheet of snow. Without his coat, the effects hit him harder than Hanji's tackle did.
"I heard that you got into trouble! I can't be-" just then, a large hand grabbed onto the back of their collar, pulling the crazed actor off of him. Then, another pair of hands grabbed both his shoulders, lifting Eren from the torture of winter weather before standing him up properly, even going as far as wiping off most of the snow stuck to him.
Turning his head to look at his rescuer, he saw a much tall man, and broad shoulders. "E-erwin!" Armin said before Eren even opened his mouth. They started to talk, Hanji pouting in the commander's grasps.
"Are you alright?" A gruff voice behind him spoke, making him realize that there was another person. Turning again, he squinted up at a big nose and facial hair.
"Mike?"
Said man smiled slightly and nodded to confirm Eren's guess. "Oh, thanks man." He grinned up in gratitude.
Time seemed to go by fast, soon the colors of twilight broke the sky and they all bidded each other goodbye. Eren watched as cars started and left, his happiness draining slowly as he looked to his own truck. The windows were frosted white and the seats were hard, cold, and lonely.
He sighed as he got in, hoping he'd make it home just fine.
