It had been two years since Alex had joined his Grade Six class. He was now in Grade Eight. Everyone was now fourteen except for Samuel and James (Yes I decided to make James a year older too :3). It was very clear that Samuel has a crush on "King" George. Although "King" George never noticed. Thomas still needed to tell someone something pretty important that he couldn't back in sixth grade. And that is what he is going to do today.
Lafayette's POV:
Laf was walking in the halls of the high school. Herc, Alex and John were behind him since they all came from the same class. It was lunch time now so the halls were filled with students running around, getting something or putting back something in their locker, or talking to friends. It also seemed Thomas wasn't having the best week because he kept quiet and never talked to anyone but James. Someone also said that they claimed to see Thomas crying once. Today Thomas was walking towards Laf and pushed him out of the way. "What was that for?" Lafayette asked him annoyed. "I can do what I want Lafayette." He replied coldly. Herc chuckled a little, "It sounds like you two are brothers that are mad at one another." Herc said. "Maybe it's because we are." Thomas replied and opened his locker. "What?" Laf asked, unsure if Thomas said this literally or sarcastically. "Are you deaf or something? I said maybe it's because we are!" Thomas said, turning around to look at him. "Woah, don't have to start being mad at me!" Laf said to him. "Well I'm sorry! I haven't been having the best week okay! Our mother died and our father has been working a lot so I've been taking care of Lucy and basically became mom of the house!" Thomas said angrily but also in a sad voice. "Wait. Did you just say our mom died?" Lafayette asked, confused. "Yes I did.." "What the heck do you mean?" Laf asked still confused. Thomas sighed, "I should just tell you now... We are twin brothers Lafayette! Can't anyone see the freaking resemblance?" He said, standing next to Laf and pulled Laf's elastic out. They did look very similar to each other. "We were born as twins. I was a boy, you a girl. But you looked a lot like a boy. We lived together until we were one year old. Mom and dad couldn't support the whole family which ended up with them putting you up for adoption. You must've ended up living with French parents for a while and lived in France until they gave you up too and then went to live with the Washington's. We went to live in Virginia a little later on and lived there for a year until we moved here. When I started school here mom swore she could see you running over to Mrs. Washington or Mr. Washington after school but she couldn't bring herself to see if it was actually you. When she did though she didn't know what to do. When she found out we were in the same class in sixth grade she wanted me to tell you this. I tried to but you blew me off and I didn't tell you until now." Thomas said all this in one breath. Lafayette had no idea what to say. He stood there in shock at what he just heard. Yes he had gone to live with French foster parents in France before being given up due to his transgender actions and got adopted by Martha and George a little after, but still couldn't really believe he was twins with Thomas. "I.. I'm going to go.." Laf said and sped walked away towards nowhere. Hercules went after him and John and Alex stood there. Thomas sighed and walked the other way.
The bell rang, which meant it was time to go home. Lafayette walked out of his last class and totally avoided his friends. He was on a mission to find Thomas. Once he did Laf found him talking with James. "Thomas!" Laf called and Thomas and James turned around to see Laf. Lafayette got up to him, "I'm sorry for earlier but umm.. Could you maybe take me over to her grave today?" He asked. Thomas nodded, "Yeah but we'll have to take Lucy since dad is working all day again." Thomas told him. "Okay. It's okay if Lucy comes. I'll call dad." He said and pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Hello?" George said, "Hey, can I hang out with Thomas for a little. We need to do something important.." Laf asked. "Yeah. Where are you two going to be?" He asked, "Somewhere.. Okay bye." He said and hung up. "Okay let's go." He said. Thomas shrugged and lead the way to Lucy's school since he had to pick her up.
"Lucy, come on! We have to go somewhere!" Thomas called. "But I don't want to Tommy!" She called back. Laf snickered at the nickname he was given. "Okay so we're doing this.." Thomas said with a sigh. He went to Lucy's room and practically dragged her out of there. "We're going to mom's grave." Thomas told her. "But why?" She asked. "Because Lafayette over there needs to do something." Thomas replied. "Okay?"
Once they got to the cemetery, which wasn't that far away, Thomas led Laf to her grave. Lafayette sat in front of it, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there for your funeral. I'm sure you would've been happy if I did. I just didn't know yet. But I've come now and I hope you can see me here. Even though I know you're dead I want to say I love you. And I miss you. I will come here to say hi to you. But I must go now so.. Goodbye mom. I love you." Lafayette said. A few tears fell down his cheeks and felt Thomas hug him. It now started to rain, as if the world felt sad for Lafayette. Soon a crack of thunder could be heard and all three of them jumped, not expecting it to storm. "Alex is not gonna like this.." Laf said. Thomas nodded, "You should call Mr. Washington to come pick us up or something. I'm not walking in the rain." Thomas said. "Okay fine." Laf replied and got his phone out to call George once again. "Hey dad.. Can you come pick Thomas, Lucy and I up please? We are not walking in the rain." Laf asked once George picked up. "Yeah but where are you guys? And who's Lucy?" He asked. Laf could hear Alex's cries too, "We're at the cemetery.. I'll explain why later. And Lucy is Thomas's younger sister. We had to bring her." Laf told him. "Okay.. But you better explain why you are at the cemetery. I'll be there soon." George said. Laf said goodbye and hung up. They waited until George's car came and the three got in. Lafayette requested sitting next to the crying Alexander. Apparently Martha took Daniel to a friends house and they're still there and George didn't want to leave Alexander alone if he was like this. Thomas sat in the front. And Lucy was beside Lafayette. "Tantos cuerpos .. Están todos muertos." Alex mumbled in Spanish. This was a language no one knew Alex could speak in. Laf hugged him, "Ça va bien Alex. Tu vas bien. Rien ne peut vous blesser maintenant." Laf told him (French translation: It's gonna be okay Alex. You're fine. Nothing can hurt you right now. Spanish translation: So many bodies.. They're all dead..)
John's POV:
Alex was at John's house. It was two days after we found out Thomas and Laf are brothers. Alex doesn't seem onboard with the idea that they're gonna have to be nice to Thomas. It's probably because Alex is never going to forgive him after he almost killed Alex back in sixth grade (You remember that right? Alex has a scar on the back of his head now..), and also because he still remembers that day where Thomas hurt John after he comforted Alex. John was sitting on his bed until Alex pulled him off by the hand. "Alex!" John exclaimed before falling on the floor. Alex pulled John up, "Stand there." Alex instructed. John just shrugged and let Alex do whatever it was he wanted to do. Alex went back to back with John and put his hand over his head. He then pulled away but left his hand on where he put it over his head. "You're so tall... And I'm so short!" Alex said with a slight frown. John chuckled and turned around to look at Alex. Alex went up to John and stood on his toes to be taller. "Uhg! You're still so tall!" Alex whined. John laughed at him, Alex kept standing on his toes until he started to fall over. In the process of falling, Alex grabbed John's arm making John fall too. Alex fell into the floor and John landed on top of Alex. Alex noticed the position they were in and blushed, he tried to hide it but John saw it. John was also blushing when he too realized the position they were in. "Umm, sorry-" Alex started but was cut off by John...
What did John do to cut Alex off?
John kissed Alex..
Alexander was surprised at first but kissed back. "I didn't know you felt the same way.." Alex said, a blushing mess. "Well I did when I told myself that,
I'm in love with my best friend."
