I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ears, I sluggishly slipped out of bed and moved to the bathroom to have a shower. I rested my head on the tiles and let the water run over my body, after about two minutes I got out and dried myself off before changing into my school uniform, I went into my draw and pulled out a hairbrush and started to brush my hair. After that I put the hairbrush away and put on my collar choker which Joey always insisted that I wear.

I looked at the clock and saw that I was making good time, I walked downstairs and put some toast in the toaster and packed my bag as I waited. School was such a bore, even though I was a straight A student I still hated working the long hours to get those scores when all I wanted to do was hang out with Joey and the gang and play card games, it wasn't that much to ask! The toast popped and I buttered it before sitting down, I took out my phone as I munched on my toast, just as I expected three texts from Joey.

Joey: hey Yug just asking for a favour but you know that homework we had! Well I didn't do it...if you could help me finish it before the teacher notices that would be awesome!

Joey: hey Yug me again! Just asking if after school I can go over to your place and maybe chat? Duel?

Joey: hey remember to return my dvd, I know you enjoyed it, not to innocent are you Yug, dirty pervert

The last message left me flustered but I walked over to the tv and took the disk out and placed it back into the container, this was one of the movies no one should ever know you've watched....I placed it in my bag and slung said bag over my shoulder "grandpa I'm going!" And with that I walked out of the game shop and towards school.

The walk to school was great! Till Ushio and his gang arrived...I always kept money on me because if I didn't have any I would get beat up (not that I didn't anyway.) As soon as I saw Ushio and his gang loitering around the school gate I started wishing that I had walked with Joey. I pulled out my phone and sent an urgent message before they spotted me.

"Well if it isn't our favourite punching bag!" One of them jeered as I walked towards them, shoulders slouched, head down, trying to show submissiveness? I was grabbed by the collar and forced into the air, dang my dam size! And dam my stupid plan for failing!

"My money's in my pocket!" I cried shaking "take it!" I felt someone's hand fish into my poker and grabbed my money, one of them gave an annoyed sound.

"Only 1300 yen!" Ushio throw the money in my face "you'll have to do better then that to avoid your punishment!" I whimpered.

"It was all I had!!" I cried desperately, a fist but my face.

"Does it look like I care, you said you would bring 4400 yen, not 1300!!" Ushio yelled another fist hit me in the chest sending me out of his grip and onto the footpath. Suddenly a familiar shaggy blonde ducked out of the gates and grabbed me out of harms reach.

"Sorry about the intrusion! But I'm afraid I gotta take this little one away" he started running into the school holding onto me, I stumbled for a little moment then picked up pace and ran along side him, we skidded into the classroom and barrelled into Tristan.

"You got an army of ghosts after you or something?" He looked down at us, I looked over at Joey and he looked at me.

"Oh ya know, running from trouble" we burst out laughing and after a moment Tristan joined in with us.

"Get off the floor mutt as much as I love to see you there it's embarrassing" Kaiba was sitting in the back of the class reading a book with a bored expression.

"I'm not a mutt Kobia!" Joey stood up angrily and offered his hand to me, I took it gratefully and he pulled me up, just at that moment Tea came through the door and saw me, she instantly noticed how I was holding my stomach and my slightly bruised face.

"Oh Yugi not again" she pulled me out of the classroom and started dragging me to the nurses office.

"I'm fine! Really!" I protested but she wouldn't have it. I sighed and let her drag me along and so begins my day of school I thought.
