Random Fic
Hey, guys. This is a weird way to start a book. This chapter is dumb, so scroll past it if you want to live. It's literally just a random thought... pure fluff. Or not. Maybe I'll come up with a story line by the end of this chapter. But I most likely won't.
>> Ted's POV <<
On a fresh, crisp morning, I was sitting on the sofa eating a slice of ripe watermelon. Suddenly, I heard a soft scrrrrratch at his front door. I groaned and trudged towards the door.
Mr. Foofy scratched my leg gingerly as I opened the door. Chris stood beside the cat, a painstakingly joyful smile on his face. His little pre-teen brother, Aiden, stood silently in his older brother's shadow.
I glanced down and Mr. Foofy, who was now gnawing on my heeled boot, and then glared at Chris. "Why do you have to bring the cat everywhere?"
Chris hissed at me. And they all said that I was the vampire. "Because I love him!" he screamed. "And I need to protect him from those evil dogs."
I narrowed my eyes. Chris shrugged and walked into my house with Mr. Foofy in his wake. Aiden mouthed the word freak at me and slunk into my living room.
I cocked an eyebrow and jumped back onto the couch, grabbing my almost-finished watermelon slice off of the coffee table. Chris settled onto the sofa next to me, cradling Mr. Foofy. Aiden sat on the floor and reached up to the table for the remote to turn on the television.
We ended up watching that skeleton soap opera that starred Chu Chu's cousin and the cousin's family. I hadn't watched it in a while, and apparently the son was grounded because he finally became a real human. "But, Mom!" cried the son. "You can't ground me. You disowned me when the Blue Fairy made me a real boy, remember?"
Chris turned to look at me. "Do you think Chu Chu is mad about his second cousin being human?"
"He probably has no idea," I replied, flipping my vibrant green hair sarcastically. "He's so out of the social loop."
Chris turned back to the TV for a moment, but after a few seconds, he glanced back at me. "Did your dad ever answer you about that whole being-a-vampire thing?" he questioned. "Because I'm pretty sure thst you are one. I mean, you have fangs and a scar on your neck."
Oh, no. I thought he would've forgotten about that by now. I actually never asked my father again after the phone call. I think he was grateful for that.
"Just because you wear makeup and my mom thinks you're a girl doesn't make you one." I teased.
"Pssh, you wear perfume and heels," he argued playfully. "Remember that time that that random guy yelled at you for dressing like a girl and not being a 'manly man'?"
I giggled but then noticed that Chris was wearing my jacket. My. Jacket.
"Hey, bro? How long have you had my jacket?" I complained. "Can you give it back."
"Yes, I can," he replied smugly. "But I'm not going to."
I DON'T EVEN KNOW... okay, bye.
