Chapter 17:

(Grey's POV)

I pulled up to her house, it looked lonely. I wonder if she's lonely inside, waiting for me?

After three knocks on the door, She doesn't answer, nobody does. It's quiet inside and completely dark. I wonder if she's okay.

When I turn the doorknob the door opens slowly. They forget to lock the door too?

"Wow.." I mutter to myself and move over to the island that had a piece of paper laid on top of it.

Kerri, I hope you see this when you get back from Lucas'. Don't stay out too late, Darling. Get home by 12 please. Oh and, don't do anything stupid. I know I've already gave you a speech about it all, but please promise me you'll stay safe. You always look past a person's appearance and straight into their heart and it makes me so happy to see you so kind yet so naive to his ways. Don't let your guard down. I'll be home super late tonight, I had to go back into work. Kisses, Mom.

She went to his house?! I'm gonna beat the shit out of him.

I crumple the paper into my pocket and slam the door shut behind me.

Just as I have slammed the front door shut a car door opens, revealing Kerri.

I stop dead in my tracks. She's so beautiful.

I watch as Kerri gets out and walks towards me slowly. "What do you think?"

My jaw remains on the ground until Lucas walks out from the side of the car. He's wearing a black t-shirt and dark jeans. He's not going is he?

The sight of Lucas makes me pick up my jaw and compliment Kerri in hopes of making him jealous.

"You look gorgeous. I don't think you've looked any more stunning than you do now," I state with a smile and pick up her hands from her sides, laying them into mine.

Lucas stands back, awkwardly and weirdly. The jealousy rolls off of him in waves when I kiss her cheek on either side.

I take her by the hand and walk towards my car with her.

"Now, explain to me why he looks like he's going with us," I finally am able to get my question out.

I am afraid I will set him off and ruin everything for her and that's definitely not what I want to do.

"He wanted to come with us."

I shouldn't have left her without calling. I should've warned her not to invite him. I knew this would happen, she can't go a second without him by her side.

"Its a college parry Kerri. Its only okay because you're my guest, he won't stand a chance in there," I try to explain. He seems offended and honestly, it kinda was to get under his skin, but he'd hold himself together for Kerri's sake.

"I can handle it. I can pass for a freshman in college," his deep tone replies," plus I've got my boyfriend with me."

I know he can, I just want to see what I can do to intimidate him. He's a big guy, he can handle it.

"You can't bring him."

My tone creates a tension in the air. I can tell Kerri feels the switch and Lucas has it written all over his face.

"Well guys, let's get going," Kerri pulls my arm towards the parked car I had just gotten out of.

"What the hell?" Kerri yells when we get into the car," you just told two gay guys that they weren't allowed into a party because they were gay. Are you trying to pick a fight?"

She buckles herself in and I watch as the two guys in the other vehicle do the same.

I guess they think they are going to follow us, nope.

I put the car into drive and pick up speed. I run the stop sign at the end of Kerri's road and eventually Lucas and his guy friend is out of sight.

"Grey."

"Kerri."

"I cannot believe you. Let me out now." I guess little miss princess decided to notice what I just did.

She is fidgeting with her seatbelt but I reach right back over and buckle her back in despite her fighting at my arm.

After fighting with her with the seatbelt for five minutes she finally gives in.

"I want out," She whispered darkly.

"I want you to stay. Kerri, we are going to this party, it's not a college party like I said, it's just a normal high school party, unfortunately. Please don't hate me."

"You lied to me?!" She spat angrily, yanking her seatbelt from her chest. I pull my hand across the seat and grab the seat belt but this time she came back with more force and I couldn't grab the seat belt before she bit me.

When she sticks her tongue out I spit on it and she wipes her tongue off with my shirt.

"You're so disgusting," she says with a cringe.

I just laugh and watch her pout. She stares out out the window for a long time before noticing that we just passed the county line.

"Where the hell are we going?"

I shrug my shoulder," I don't know."

She huffs and looks out the window in defeat.

I hope that taking her out of her own town will bring out the fun her. She won't know anyone there and hopefully that will be a factor into getting her to open up.

"We're here."

I look over at her, asleep, just great. She looks peaceful and quiet. I stare at her with a smile on my face, probably looking pretty creepy but I don't care.

"Stop staring at me you creeper."

I am surprised by her words and move back over into my seat as she sets up in hers.

"Have you ever been to a party?" I ask. She looks over at me weirdly.

"I've never been to a party, never drank alcohol, I've got a halo there Mr. Bad Boy," she snickers and motions to an invisible halo above her head.

Well this is gonna be an interest in night, should've seen it coming.

Sorry about not updating yesterday, I fell asleep in the process of updating, my phone was literally in my hand when I woke up this morning. So more bad boy decisions coming out of Grey.. good thing or bad thing? Comment and vote you awesome people! -C
