Deathtrap
"Think of your favourite teacher you ever had in school: the one who made it the most fun to go to class. They surprise you. They keep you guessing. They keep you coming back, wanting to know what's going to happen next."

Chapter 4:
I rose from my seat and stood up, amazed.
"How did you get my number?" I yelled into the phone.
"The school doesn't keep their student files very confidential like they say they do." His friendly laughter filled the line.
I rolled my eyes a couple of times and hung up the phone.
I'm gonna beat him to death.
"Mom, I'm going over to Lucas' house"
I shut the front door behind me and walked angrily down the concrete pathway.
This is exactly the reason why I should've walked away from Grey in the first place, I don't get involved with trash like him and now he's stalking me.
I was turning to walk down the sidewalk and saw Grey pull up behind me in his of course, oh so cliché, bad boy scenery. A motorcycle.
I sighed. "You know that deathtrap doesn't make you look cool, it makes you look dumb as hell."
He cut it off. "Guess what, I don't need you to judge me. I've got plenty of people doing that for you already. I need help with my math work."
I continued walking and he got off of the deathtrap and, unfortunately, followed me.
"Go to class and maybe you wouldn't be bothering me for help," I snapped.
I want so badly to slap him but I'm a good person. But maybe a good person would slap him?
I continued to walk just making him more irritated, good, maybe he will leave. Nope.
"Where are ya going?" he asked with a bright voice and smiled stupidly at me.
"Lucas' house, so leave."
After I had finished my words he pulled at my arm and threw me over his shoulder quickly.
I swatted at his back and kicked my feet but he acted like he wasn't even affected.
I eventually stopped and he dropped me on his deathtrap and gave me a helmet.
He hopped on with me so quickly that I wasn't able to get off. He started it and drove away. I immediately felt the air whip at my face so I unintentionally wrapped my arms around his torso.
"What's his address?"
I gave him the address and he found the house fairly decently.
"Kerri, you can let go of me now."
I didn't reply to him. I just sat there still attached to him from shock. We had just arrived to Lucas' house and I hadn't released Grey from his position.
"Dude. Get off me."
He shook me off him and I gradually came back to reality.
"I will never do that again, ever." My face was pale, I could feel it. My arms were stiff and my legs were wobbly.
We walked up to the house and knocked on the door.
"Hey, Kerri.... and dude..." he greeted us at the door. At first, he was happy, then he saw Grey, and a look of shock plastered his face.
His face was pale and he looked like he was going to throw up. I guess I'm not as bad off as he is.
"You're very rude, I have a name," Grey delared to the sickly Lucas. His arms are perched on the door frame and his eyes are traveling Lucas.
Lucas walks away and heads for the bathroom I'm guessing.
"What's his problem? I don't recall him being the one I forced on my 'deathtrap'," he uses air quotes to mock me.
We wander into the kitchen and Grey looks around, snooping.
He walks over to the counter and starts going through papers that were laid there.
"Those are not for you," I raise my voice and smack his arm.
My sickness has gone away by now and I am back to my clumsy, irritating self.
"Kerri, come here!" Lucas is screaming for me at the top of his lungs. He's banging on the bathroom door.
"Don't get into anything else. I don't trust you by yourself now," I whispered to Grey and pointed my finger at him.
I return a hit to the door after he throws his three.
I hear him unlock the door and I open it to see him sitting against the wall with his head in the hands.
"Lucas, what's wrong?"
He shakes his head. "Nothing. I just can't believe I can't keep my cool around him. I freaked out Kerri. He knows now and he will tease me." His voice is shaky and breathy.
"I won't let it happen. He will not tease you and he will not be an ass to you. You can keep calm. You were just surprised." I rub his shoulder and he looks up at me. His face is red from his hands, thank goodness I wasn't going to have to deal with tears.
Lucas stands and he rubs his face. "Chill out. Your guy hormones need to chill," I mocked him and I got a laugh in return.
We walk downstairs to see Grey sitting on the couch with a bag of chips sitting in his lap. "Well didn't you just make yourself at home?" Lucas blurted as he stood at the bottom of the stairs. I snickered behind him and followed as he went to stand beside Grey.
Taking the bag from Grey's hands, he peered down to him," nasty dogs aren't allowed inside."
Just then Katie, his pug, came around the corner and barked at us. Grey laughed and glared at Lucas with a smirk.
"Well then, Kerri, you are very welcome for the ride over here. Next time don't expect for me to be as nice," Grey winked at me and smiled as he stood in front of Lucas and I standing side by side.
"Never asked for anything from you." I looked at him with a smile that hopefully said 'go away', but my smiles never say anything other than 'have a good day'. It's very hard for me to be rude, and it's especially challenging for me to surprise Grey.
"That's just an example of how caring I am," he said and walked to the door.
Neither me nor Lucas had anything to say to his reamark. I could feel Lucas getting fidgety beside me. He was getting more angry by the second and with every word Grey spoke Lucas got closer to breaking his neck.
I just stood there as I watched Grey walk out the door. "He is not allowed back here again. If you bring him back it will not be pretty," Lucas warned as he ran back up the stairs, leaving me behind to contemplete his feisty warning.
I followed Lucas up the stairs and found him laid across his bed. I joined him and looked up at the ceiling.
"What happened?" Lucas questioned as crossed his legs at the ankles.
I shook my head.
"It started with him calling me." Lucas sat straight up and looked at me with huge eyes.
"Exactly. He broke into the school files and found it. So then I hung up and walked out of the house angrily, but guess who pulled up behind me when I started walking." My voice was slightly raised with anger.
"It's like he was outside your house.." Lucas didn't help with how creepy it all sounds with his comment.
He looked at me like he felt sorry for me.
"He used the homework excuse." Lucas laughed at my addition which eased the creepy feeling that had masked the air.
"Are you hungry?" Lucas asked and got up off the bed with a better view on the situation.
"Sure."
After ordering pizza we sat and watched Mean Girls for the billionth time.
