Why? Because they have so much in common! They'd also look so cute together if Marine was a real person! I shall dub this, ShyDarkShipping! Since in Pokémon, Kayla has a Mimikyu since it's a ghost/fairy type, and a  dark type team, and Marine has a whole team of dark types! I ship it a whole lot and nobody can change my mind about this ship.
