When Wes tried explaining to everyone about why Danny Fenton could actually be Phantom. Did they believe? of course not. They laughed it off,they thought that he's been totally obsessed with Fenton,they Also thought that he's just looking for a good way out to get the nickname to go away,so for the spite of it they continued calling him Phantom. The name really stuck unto him like glue,let's say super glue or crazy glue.

Wes's POV:
"Hey Wes,or should I say,Phantom!" Dash call out to me and chuckled. "I'm not Phantom,open your eyes people! Danny.Is.Phantom!I shout back. " Phantom, your so stupid, there's no way,Fenturd over there could possibly be Phantom, " Dash said pointing to Danny. "Are you that stupid, [Dash's face looks angry] I mean. Don't you see,they have much in common like huh,their first name, 'Danny Fenton' Danny Phantom, oh lookie,it even rhymes. And what about their heights, same hair outline and style,"Wes explained but was cut off by Paulina. " Phantom is not a loser like Danny and his loser friends," she spoke out loud. Danny looked sad. Sam puff and huff. Tucker was calming down Sam and comforting Fenton. "But Paulina,explain the ghost equipments that Phantom has,like the thermos thingy,how the hell would 'Danny Phantom' get those ghost fighting gadgets, I mean. Doesn't Fenton's parents have ghost fighting equipment because they are ghost hunters," I continued. "But that still doesn't explain how Fenton being Phantom," Dash shouted out which seemed to convince everyone.
