Max's POV

I sat on the couch, the clock saying it was past midnight. Botan was on the floor smiling in her sleep, honestly looking drunk. Getting up, I looked for my boots and jacket.

"Going somewhere?" Kurama blocked the door.

Tying my boots then slipping my jacket on I kept my gaze steady.

"Just for a walk" he didn't look convinced. "Shouldn't you be sleeping"

"Do you mind if I join you?" looking at him his features were soft.

Nodding I went to grab a bottle of water from the fridge. By the time, I came back he had a jacket on ready to go. Handing him the water, our hands grazed sending shivers down my spine.

We had walked out the main lobby doors without a word. Suddenly the cold air rushed seeming through my jacket.

"Max" Kurama looked down at me.

"Hm?" keeping my eyes forward we continued walking.

"dang..." he stopped walking holding a hand in front of his face.

"Kurama?" I stopped and looked at him, a feeling between concerned and worried.

"Do you love him" when his hand came down he was blushing a deep red.

"Hiei?" I tilted my head a bit confused.

"Yeah. Do you love Hiei?" his eyes meet mine and we stayed there for a second.

"Yes, I love him." Why would Kurama ask me something like this? Was he also-

"Guess I can't fight with that" his hand out-stretched putting a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Let's head back"

I nodded as we walked back to the hotel, I had a lot of thinking to do.

"Welcome demons of all genders!" the cat lady came over the speaker loud and clear.

The crowd erupted with cheers and laughter.

"Today we have three on threes! First up team Uramesi vs. Dr. Ichigaki! Would Kuwabara, Hiei and our favorite demon right now Max, come onto the stage representing team Uramesi! Would MI 1, 2, 3 come onto stage representing Dr. Ichigaki!" She squealed our names as the cheering became even louder.

As we filled onto stage the MI's looked just sick and lifeless.

"Let the match begin!"
