"Finally"

"For the child abuse of John Rivers and for the assault and battery of Jimimah Jones, the jury pleads Charles Rivers guilty! Here by the state of Law, Charles Rivers is to be sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for the assault and battery and as well as 5 years for the child abuse, do you have anything you would like to say at this time Mr. Charles Rivers?"

"I'll see you in hell kid." John's uncle sneered at John before throwing his head back, howling in laughter.

"Alright that is all, please take him away gentlemen." The judge said with a wave of his hand before finalizing and pounding on the gavel. "Meeting is adjourned."

"It's finally over!" John yelled as the four got in the car, the trio sitting at the back and Mika at the passenger seat. Elena started it up and drove out of the parking lot to the freeway. "I'm free." John cried on JiJi's shoulder who pat his head with a small smile thrown at Ryan, and through the mirror to Mika and Elena.

John was discharged from the hospital with just a note saying he has to take it easy for a few week for his lung to fully heal, he still had his patch on his collarbone and it still hurt to breath but other than that he was fine. JiJi was also fine, she was on her last day with changing her arm bandages all the time due to how messed up it was, though she doesn't have bandages on her cheek and neck anymore, displaying a small fading scar on her cheekbone and a fading neck bruise. John ended up falling asleep on JiJi's shoulder, the pain meds added to his fatigue knocked him out. JiJi loosened his tie and unbutton 2 buttons from his dress shirt, adjusting her body for both of them to be comfortable, well trying to at least in a dress, and she too followed him to sleep. Ryan loosened up his own tie and took off his blazer, he leaned on the window and fell asleep as well.

"They're all passed out." Mika giggled to her mother.

"They must be so exhausted. Bless them." Elena said. "Did you clean before we left?"

"Yesterday, made sure the twins' room and the guest room are prioritized, yeah." Mika answered. Last week, while John was still in the hospital but was awake, they were discussing about having the trio move in with the Wests. Of course the three protested and declined the offer but the two West women insisted. The trio ended up agreeing to it and also insisted that they work and pay their part of the house bill. The all came to agreement and a few days before the trial, everyone except John was busy packing everything from their apartment and move to the West residence. Everything in the apartment was a mess just as the officers said the first time the came to pack. The boys' room specifically was horrifying to see, shards of the glass mirror were littered everywhere on the floor, bits of dried blood left on the pieces that were stuck on the mirror and as well as little strands of hair stuck in between. It made Mika shiver with what really happened to JiJi. There was also dried blood on a spot on the carpet. It took a while but they all cleaned up the place and left everything behind, wanting to start a new life. "I can't believe they're finally coming home. Like a real home."

"Let's not forget, I'm not their guardian. They're merely 'renting at our place'." Elena said.

"Yeah, you're right but at least they're out of that house." Mika mumbled quietly.

After and hour drive they have finally arrived. Mika turned in her seat and woke Ryan up first while Elena went out to open JiJi's side and slowly ease the girl awake. "Hey, we're here." Ryan just looked around confused before getting out and stood beside Mika. He let out a yawn and messed up his hair, hand sliding down to rub his eyes, Mika finding his messed up hair cute.

They heard John crying again. "JiJi,  baby, it hurts."

"I know, but we're here now come on, let's get you inside." The two walked around the car as Elena closed the door and locked the car, John was practically giving all his weight on JiJi as she was walking barefoot carrying John with her towards the other two. Mika took Ryan's blazer and tie as he ran up to them to help, Elena walked around as well with her own blazer and JiJi's heels in hand.

"I got him." Ryan said to JiJi who said a quiet thank you as he swung an arm around his shoulder and half carried him inside. "Come on buddy."

"His meds are probably wearing off." Mika commented as the ladies walked behind the two boys.

"He only took one before we left cause he didn't want to sleep in the middle of the trial." JiJi said, taking her heels from Elena. "Thank you."

"Let's just get him something to eat for a bit first and have him his meds and send him to sleep." Elena suggested. Walking faster to open the door. They all went in and the trio b-lined to the living room and the Wests to the kitchen.

"But I want to sleep." John whined still crying. "Make the pain go away."

"I know baby, but you're gonna have to eat before all that." JiJi coax the boy in pain. Ryan took his blazer and tie off and as well as JiJi's own blazer and went to the kitchen to get the Wests' blazers to dump them all in the laundry. "I'll stay in bed with you and we can sleep in all day tomorrow. How's that sound?"

John sniffed and nodded with a pout. He made grabby hands for JiJi and she complied on putting his arm around her and they both went to the dining room. Ryan entered the kitchen again.

"How is he?" Mika asked, mid way of taking out the chicken poppers from the microwave.

"He's so out of it. He's in so much pain." Ryan sighed. "Where are his meds?"

"They're right here." Elena spoke up as she tapped on the cupboard above her and she walked away setting a bowl filled with stir fry for John to eat. She also set a glass of water as Ryan set his meds. JiJi whispered a thank you to them and she went back to eating with John. The other three quickly sat down and ate with the two as well. It was quiet but in the quiet, they can feel how relieved John was despite being in so much pain at the moment and it calmed Ryan and JiJi's mind. Elena and Mika thinking about them with both sadness and happiness.
