Chapter 27
"We can't do this!" Ryan exclaimed. They were in the music room again in their school, only have been dismissed from their classes, 2 weeks before the opening. It has been pretty hectic because of the exams that is also in the same week as the opening. "This is blowing my mind!"
"You're the one who agreed that we do it." Mika pointed out.
"Well, no one objected!" Ryan squeaked. JiJi quietly whimpered beside John, who glanced at her with concern etched on his face.
"Look we can go over it one more time before heading home yeah?" John announced.
JiJi lightly shook her head and jumped up and positioned herself properly in front of the piano. "That is a great idea sporky. Now, could we please? I'm tired."

"Good god, I am lucky." John sighed out as he ripped a poster off from a wall as the quartet walk through the hallway to the music room. "I am confident that I have answered that exam 50% right."
"Oh, you did your best dear." JiJi complemented and started giggling at the poster she took from John. "Hey, I'm digging this poster. You can really see how excited Ms. Li is."
"Well, at lest we're done with our exams." Ryan said. "We'll just have to focus for the gig tomorrow night."
"Oh, we'll be fine." JiJi grinned. "Most of the people going are our schoolmates, they wouldn't judge."
"How would you even know that?" John asked, opening the door to the music room.
JiJi straightened the poster for everyone to see. "Ms. Li putting up posters for the opening of the cafe, literally placed on the bottom of the page in big exaggerating letters is the name of our band indicating us as the opening act slash special guests. This poster has been posted in every single wall of this school since Monday. I know cause I walked around before the classes started."
'No wonder you took your time coming back from the toilets.' John thought.
"And as we walked towards here, from the looks of the wall, remnants of the posters is present, only having the corners of it being left behind indicating most of the posters have been ripped off from the wall and had been tucked deep in the pockets and bags of the students attending this school. I know cause I have seen multiple throughout the whole day."
"Wow." Mika gaped.
"Well, your brain must be stable today. I think it's safe to say you have aced your exams." Ryan said.
"Yeah, despite forgetting all the goddamn time where you have placed your keys." John muttered. JiJi crumpled the poster and threw it at his head making him give her a look.
"I heard that." JiJi settled her bag on top of the piano and taking her music sheets out. John glanced at the crumpled paper on the ground, huffed and picked it up, proceeding to argue with JiJi about the poster.
"Why would you that? This poster could be like a souvenir about our band." John exclaimed heading towards the piano, uncrumpling the poster in his hand. "You ruined it."
"Oh please, have you been listening to me a few minutes ago? This poster is literally littered all around the walls of this school. You can just go and rip off another one."
"Yeah but this one was the first I ripped off so it's special."
"Special? Oh god..."
John and JiJi's bickering faded into the background as Mika whispered out her thoughts. "That was... wow."
"She's like that sometimes but forgets a lot of things most of the time." Ryan told the still gaping girl beside him. He laughed. "We were also surprised when we witnessed it for the first time. It was scary but pretty amazing."
"Ryan!" Two voices collided at the same time calling for the poor boy.
"Oh god, yes?" Ryan jumped.
"He's being very immature, tell him!"
"She's being very rude, tell her!"
"My god, these two are older than me but I swear they are such childrens." Ryan muttered under his breath and proceeded towards them. "Alright now ladies calm down."
Mika observed them from where she has been standing and just wondered about the lives of her 3 best friends. She thought of it being weird of having friends on her last year of highschool because of the possibilities of not seeing each other again when college comes. And in a span of just 2 months, it's like, she has known the trio for a lifetime. Or so she thought.
She thought back of the time when she was driving her way to school and someone tapped on her passenger side's window, only for her to discover JiJi cycling beside her car, grinning at her, John appearing beside her. JiJi winked at her and pointed to her side of the window, which she turned her head to and see Ryan, eating a sandwich with one hand and steering his bike with the other. Then they started cycling in front of her, switching lanes here and there. A speed bump was up ahead and the three were very prone with speeding on their bikes cause they never get in trouble with it. The speed bump made the last piece of Ryan's sandwich fall from his fingers, making him stare at his hand, looked back, his bike wavered a bit, out of balance, making him face back front and pretended to cry. It was an amusing moment yet a very memorable one.
She was pulled back to reality when she heard a rattling of pills in a bottle. "Woah, what's wrong?"
"Oh, these are just for the headaches." JiJi said, taking two of the pills and washing them down with water. "I get them a lot."
"Oh, you guys good then?" Mika asked quietly. John and JiJi looked at each other intensly then both said:
"No."
"Okay! Let's take it to the top!" Ryan exclaimed as he went to get his guitar, already knowing that they're cool. They never fight, they just bicker. There's a difference. John and JiJi snickered behind his back making Mika smile at them as she picked up her guitar.
'Hm. Such childrens indeed.'
