Who's Secilia Cross?
(A/N) Secilia Cross will be appearing, and yes, it's the same universe as my Secilia Cross meets Danny Phantom story. It won't be this chapter, because if she appeared this chapter, the timing of both stories (which, timeline wise, happen at the same time) will be completely thrown off.
"What do you mean, explain more?" Kora wondered.
"Who's Secilia?" Kella asked, sitting back after finishing the bandage.
Kora smiled. "I believe you have some magical friends, you may want to ask one of them. I'd suggest the Shadow Neko."
"What?" Metron asked, confused about how she knew about Ronan and his family.
"The shadow neko, there's an entire family of them here. Perytons and Kirin are less prone to following extra reality exploits, and therefore are less likely to know who Secilia Cross is." Kora said this kind of slowly as if thinking they were unable to understand her.
"How did, uh, never mind. Can you stand up?" Kella asked, standing up and offering the demon her hand.
"Yeah, I got it." Kora stood up, rising up to her full eight feet.
Kella gaped for a moment, then recovered. "Uh, that was unexpected."
"Why? You saw how long her legs are." Metron pointed out.
"Your friend is correct. Now, if any of your mystical friends are awake, I would like to talk to them." Kora said, crouching down.
"Who's most likely to be awake at this hour?" Kella asked, looking at Metron.
"Probably Ronan, Daniel is over, so they're probably still awake. Plus, he knows ancient Greek." Metron replied.
Kora straightened up and spread her wings, getting ready to leap into the air. "Need a ride? I could easily carry you."
"No, it's okay, we aren't too far away," Kella said, raising her hands and backing up.
"Halfway across the city does not count as not too far away," Kora deadpanned.
Metron burst out laughing at Kella's startled expression. "Your face!" He gasped.
Kora cracked a grin too. "I suppose you can still walk, but half a city is still half a city."
"Fine, I guess I'll take a ride," Kella said, folding her arms grumpily.
"You'll have to excuse her, she hasn't gotten enough sleep," Metron said cheekily, scrambling behind one of Kora's wings when Kella glared at him.
Linebreak!
"So, how strong are you?" Metron wondered. They were almost to Ronan's house, and it'd only been a few minutes.
"I never bothered testing it, so I guess I don't know," Kora replied. They were in a sort of awkward position, with Metron on Kora's back, and Kella being held.
"I still don't like this." Kella maintained, folding her arms.
"I'm sure you're fine, from what my friends tell me, it's actually a rather comfortable position."
"Being carried bridal style? Sure. Ridiculous, yes."
Metron pointed to a taller house with a tall fence around it. "That's Ronan's, land on that strip of the roof. That'll leave him wondering how we got up there."
"Is that the window that leads to his room?" Kora asked, landing on the rather narrow strip of the roof.
"Yeah, give me a moment, I'll wake him up." Metron slid off her back, then opened the window, his armor disappearing as he slid inside.
"Hey Metron, how'd you even get up on the roof? You can't fly, and I'm pretty sure Elyse isn't too fond of people riding her."
"Ronan, good to see you're still awake, a girl crashed into the pavement right next to me during patrol. She's, um, interesting."
"Well, what is she?" Daniel jumped off the top bed, landing neatly on his feet.
"A demon," Metron replied.
"Oh dear," Ronan muttered. "We don't have those here normally. Let me guess, she's from another reality?"
"Hit the nail on the head. She said something about a girl named Cross. Well, that was the second name, I forgot the first one."
"Secilia," Ronan supplied. "She's outside my window?"
"Yeah, she's the one that got me up here."
"Kora," Ronan said, moving to the window. "I'm guessing, that's the only female demon that can fly."
Kora crouched down, looking inside. "Did you want me to come inside?"
"Yeah, you can come in, Kora." Ronan's tail twitched as the eight-foot-tall demon slid through the open window into his room.
"So, your parents are big on the reality myths?" Kora asked, sitting down.
"Yeah, you could say that. Illya and Elyse-"
"The Kirin and the Peryton." Kora interrupted.
"Yes, them, are familiar with them." Ronan sighed, glancing at the door. "Mom's coming up, wondering about the extra voices. She knows I don't have patrol and is wondering why you came here. And how you got in."
"Ronan, Daniel," A woman called from the hall. "I thought you weren't on the backup roll today." The handle turned and the voice came in. She stood in the doorway for a moment, gaping.
"Mom, this is Kora. She knows Secilia Cross." Ronan said slowly.
"How did you get here?" Ronan's mom asked, after a moment.
"Inter-reality rift, your universe is lacking in magic and has decided to open itself up to my universe to fix itself. I was dragged into this mess, others may appear." Kora explained.
"Do you still have the demon language problem?" Ronan's mom asked, worry written all over her face.
"Unfortunately, yes. More fortunately, it only affects my English, so I can speak in Greek or any of the other earth languages."
"Unfortunately, not all of our group speaks ancient Greek." Daniel interrupted.
"No, but I should be correct in assuming your Kirin friend can understand Japanese?"
"Yes, can you speak Japanese as well?" Daniel asked.
"Yes, demons can speak many languages, but they can be corrupted as my English has been." Kora raised a hand, a dark swirl of magic forming above her palm. "I am the only remaining demon to possess this ability. I can not remove it from myself though."
"So, you're stuck speaking broken English," Metron surmised.
"Correct, the spell should wear off eventually, but it'll be a while, based on the power levels of the demon that cast the spell."
"How long has it been since the spell was cast?" Ronan's mother asked.
"Over 8000 years, before all the demons were killed," Kora answered. "For your information, I am about 13000 years old. Give or take a few hundred."
"What was that?" Ronan asked, facing the window. "That massive crash."
Kora's head whipped to the window. "Another portal has opened. I'm unable to sense where it goes, as it is not entirely within our reality. I can tell that the person on the other side is powerful. This might be all that this reality needs to allow it's magic to stabilize."
(A/N) Well, that was fun, sorry for the cliff hanger, it'll be solved on Friday, tomorrow, expect some interesting changes in Secilia Cross meets Danny Phantom. See ya!
