Those are bedtime stories?!

(A/N) The final battle approacheth! Probably start this chapter. Warning, I've never written a big group battle scene, tell me if I'm doing it wrong.

"Hey, guys, I probably need to get back to my own universe, I've spent too much time away," Kora said.

"Okay, we can manage without you," Ronan said, nodding.

Kora nodded, adjusting the setting of the portal, then jumping through.

"We have to get back to our universe too, who knows what havoc they could've caused while we were away?" Kella said, gesturing to the portal. "We could use your help."

"What are we facing?" Valda asked immediately.

"A large army; ghosts, monsters, Senhir, you name it," Ronan said, a grave look on his face.

"Senhir? How'd they get into your universe? I'm assuming the Fantasyverse team isn't a regular in your universe?"

Ronan shook his head. "No, our universe hasn't discovered aliens, or if they even exist at all."

"And ghosts? I'm assuming ghosts aren't a regular occurrence either." Warde asked, his arm wrapped around Valda's waist with her arm across his shoulders.

Daniel shook his head. "Nope, but we have been attacked by hoards of monsters before."

"The second Titan and Giant wars," Kella agreed. "We had the full support of your families that time, and we should have it again. The only problem is that army out to kill us is far larger than the one that stormed our city the last times."

"You have Camp Jupiter and Camp Half-Blood at our backs, plus the Hunters of Artemis," Xenia pointed out.

"How long has it been? We don't know if it's been a week, they could be attacking right now," Metron added. "Warde, Valda, Relyi, if you're coming with us, we have to go now."

Warde nodded, grabbing a bandoleer. (It's that thingy that goes across your chest and has ammo.)

Relyi just frowned, not moving. "I think I'll stay here, I have college work to do. Maybe next time. Sorry."

"Well, have fun with your college stuff," Elyse said, waving as she stepped through the portal. The others followed, Warde and Valda going last.

The other side of the portal was an absolute mess. The roof of the room looked like it had been torn off by a giant monster, claw marks in the walls and all.

"What could've caused this kind of damage?" Warde asked.

"A Senhir beast." Valda and Ronan replied at the same time.

"I swear, everyone knows stuff before I do!" Warde exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air.

Valda nodded. "And for good reason, humans do not know of dimensional exploits, only magical creatures do."

"Then why don't we know about it?" Kella wondered. "We're literally half god, do gods not keep up with that kind of stuff?"

Illya grinned. "Nope! Well, Hades and Persephone do, but no one else. Hestia might do it too, along with some smaller gods, but none of the other Olympians bother."

"And they, of course, never bothered telling their children. And neither did Chiron. Or Lupa."

Elyse snorted. "When did they ever tell anyone anything?"

"You guys never mentioned it either." Metron pointed out.

Ronan shrugged. "Never realized you didn't know about it, also, they're mostly kind of just fairy tales and bedtime stories."

"No one ever thinks to mention the bedtime stories!" Anete shouted. "Of course not!"

Ronan smiled sheepishly. "Some of our bedtime stories are rather bloody and dark, it never occurred to me to tell you the ones the little kids listen to."

"I could hardly sit through one of the little kid stories without throwing up the remnants of my dinner," Daniel volunteered. "Wait, that was one about Secilia. That actually happened?" He sounded incredulous.

Rona nodded. "Yeah, that actually happened. All of it. Including the death of Vanessa."

"How do you guys know the updated version of it?" Titos wondered. "I don't know of any technology that allows you to cross dimensions."

Illya was the one who answered this time. "We don't actually know, most of us just kinda know what's happening. Daniel, that story, happened over two weeks."

Daniel's jaw dropped. "Really? Two weeks?"

"You need to tell us all the legends," Kella insisted. "We'll have a sleepover sometimes, and your mom can tell us all the old legends."

Warde laughed. "You guys still have sleepovers?" Kella glared at him, and he backed down. "Geez lady, you're as scary as Valda."

"And besides, my house is one of the safest places in town, the sheer amount of 'monsters' there, hides the demigod scent " Ronan added. "Illya and Elyse's houses work too, but they aren't greek 'monster' families."

Warde snorted, but a combined glare from Valda and Kella cowed him, and he hid behind Ronan to avoid the glares.

"Dude, you're what, 17? I know for a fact that that is not a very fear inducing glare. She has much worse in store." Ronan said, stepping away from Warde. "Seriously."

"You have a glare to match," Illya reminded.

Ronan snorted. "It's nothing compared to my sibling's 'wolf glare'. I'm not even full Shadow Neko."

"You aren't?" Valda asked.

Ronan shook his head. "Nope. That's why I don't have littermates, they didn't live for long, weird genetic mutations happened."

"That's also why he's blond," Kella added, ruffling his hair in between his ears.

Ronan made a half-hearted attempt to smooth his hair back down, but only suceeded in ruffling the fur on his ears.

"There aren't any signs of battle, no death screams," Elyse offered. She transformed into her Peryton form, a deer-like creature with the hind legs of a bird of prey. She flew up into the air, scanning their surroundings. Once she landed, she nodded. "This is the only place that's been damaged. It isn't even in the city, more out in the suburbs."

"Ronan, you up for a trip through the shadows?" Kella asked, turning to Ronan.

Ronan nodded. "One last one, then I need to conserve my strength. I'm barely on my feet at this point." He did have a point, he looked pretty tired.

Everyone clustered around him, making sure they had a hold of his offered arms. They melted into the shadows, leaving the destroying base behind.

(A/N) That was fun! So, nope, the battle didn't start, cause I just had to have them argue about Ronan not telling them these 'bedtime stories' before. Also, that's just the way the story went. Blame the characters, not me. They tell me what to do, not the other way around.
