I may have gotten a little hurt on patrol...
"How on earth do you get yourself into these situations?" Kella yelled.
"Shh," Illya hissed, grunting as the movement reminded her of the massive gash in her side currently gushing blood.
"Fine," Kella said, quieting down. "Still, why did you come to me? Your house is closer."
Illya raised her eyebrows at the other teen, not wanting to speak.
"Okay, fine, I guess I should know why, but still." Kella continued talking, quickly cutting away Illya's shirt where the wound was and applying hydrogen peroxide. Illya grunted again but didn't scream. "Who got you this time?"
"Animar," Illya muttered, trying to help Kella apply the bandage.
"Really? How'd he get you this bad, you haven't had any problems with him before."
"He had some help," Illya admitted.
"Who?" Kella finished applying the bandage, then stepped back to admire her work. "There we go, as long as you don't do too much activity, it shouldn't bleed. I am so glad your parents were the ones who came up with this non-slip bandage, you'd be having to explain a lot more bloody messes then you usually do."
"It was nothing," Illya said. She sighed as her friend gave her the stink eye. "Fine, it was Imaria and Pyromaca."
"Why didn't you call for back up?" Kella scolded.
"I didn't want to wake you up, I thought I had it handled."
"And I'm sure you did, but you can't just say you were attacked by some of your greater foes, and expect me to believe you 'didn't want to wake you up'." She put quotations around the last statement and Illya sighed.
"Sorry, next time I run into them I'll call for backup. Happy?"
"A little better, but you're not going out on patrol until that heals." Kella held up a finger to forestall any protests and tossed the other girl a shirt. "Put that on, and go back home. The city can manage without its fearless protector for a little while. Besides, it got the rest of us."
"Fine, I'll stay home." Illya griped. She made to go out the window, but Kella stopped her.
"Door, now." She ordered, pointing at the door.
Illya made a face, but went over to the door, slipping into the hallway silently.
(A/N) Hi! This is my first story ever, so try and avoid getting too mad if updates are a little short. I'm still working out when it's a good time to end a chapter, so the chapter length may vary widely. I'm new to this and have no grammar experience, so help where you can. Feel free to inform me of any plot holes, and I'll try and rectify them. Until next time!
