"i cannot believe i'm here right now"

A permanent frown painted my lips

as Derek grinned in pleasure.

He ignored me while sniffing the air.

"can you smell that, jason"

He didn't bother waiting for my response.

"that's the smell of freedom"

"and alcohol"

I rolled my eyes at him.

"and this is why i'm embarrassed to call you my best friend"

He just smiled.

"keep telling yourself that"

And before I could open up my mouth,

he already disappeared into the crowd.

Disbelief filled me up as I realized that he'd just ditched me.

"derek where do you think"

A short girl crashed into me,

making me lose my balance.

Hands grasping onto the girl,

I steadied myself,

only to feel as if someone had dumped a thick,

warm smoothie all over my shoulder.

Looking down at the heaving girl in front of me,

I felt bile rise in my throat.

Wonderful.

Just wonderful.

| How is everyone? Hopefully not on crutches like me. I got really hurt during my basketball game yesterday and had to go to the hospital. Thank God I only have a sprained wrist and knee, but I still need more exams until everything is definite. Has anyone else had to use crutches? They're a pain |
