Thank You
Hello everybody!
Artemis1265 here!!!
this is the very last page of the book! and to be honest, I feel very sad because I'm not gonna update I'm Breaking or write another page of it.
when i started to write this book, it was only for fun. someone introduced me to a rosekook ship since i'm a big fan of blackpink and bts. then i thought of going back to writing, so i did cover edits and story outlines.
but that was for fun, i never wanted to publish any of the stories. when i made an outline for I'm Breaking, i grew very fond of it, and i was very fond of the ship as well so I decided to go publish this book.
honestly, this was only meant to be 30 chapters. it wasn't meant to go this far.
the original plot line was not supposed to be a happy ending. I am a big fan of sad endings and heartbreaks.
originally, Jungkook's father disapproved of Chaeyoung after he found about her having a kid, but Jungkook and Chaeyoung remained friends. Namjoon was supposed to be the one to tell Jungkook about Jiyoon's true name and who her biological father was. Even though there was a tad bit of romance between Jungkook and Chaeyoung, Jungkook went furious with the secret Chaeyoung kept. They break up, and the Jeons filed a case against Chaeyoung. And with that, Chaeyoung handed Jiyoon over to the Jeons and never showed up again.
but in my mind, i went "that's pretty lame" so i decided to go for the Descendants of the Sun trip. where there's an earthquake, only Jungkook isn't a soldier and everything's a mess, etc etc.
also, i never planned to make Cole gay. it was just an idea, considering that he was that one character who looked like a goody boy and who everybody praises because he found out about Jiyoon.
so here's to answer some questions i thought you guys might've asked:
why rosekook? firstly, it's just a ship, i don't want to obsess over it. and in real life, they probably aren't into each other, so i give respect to them. i just like the ship, that's all.
why make Chaeyoung a neurosurgeon rather than a general surgeon? well, i find neurosurgeons awesome! isn't it cool that Chaeyoung's this super smarty? also, neurosurgeons are one of the highest paid doctors, i'm surprised none of you questioned why she's a neurosurgeon but she can't afford a big house and all that. neurosurgeons are also considered to have big ego and weird personalities, so that's why i chose it for Chae.
why did Junhoe come back? oh well, that was just for fun. i loved how you guys were commenting about your frustrations towards Chaeyoung's decisions and all. ahahaha!
why did you make less operation scenes? hmm, it's kind of tiring, actually. also because i'm not a doctor so i don't know what kind of situations neurosurgeons are supposed to be in. it was fun writing Chaeyoung's epic operation scenes though.
what made Jungkook keep pushing forward? honestly, i pictured Jungkook as the character who won't back down easily. in some chapters he did, but mostly he didn't. personally, i find it hard to write in the perspective of a guy so sorry if i didn't develop his character well hehe.
why did you make it a one night stand between JK and Chae? isn't that how some people meet their one and only? through one night stands and then they fall in love etc etc. anyway, that was the only idea i had to make the 2 meet in a way that they won't remember exactly who they had sex with.
why name their child Jiyoon? OH THIS IS FUNNY! switch the 2 syllables and you get YoonJi. AHAHHA!! actually, i was watching the variety show bts was on where suga was the girl, and yes that's where i got Jiyoon's name.
next book? hmmm. no, i don't think a sequel will come through. if i were to make one, i guess i'd have no more ideas to write. although there won't be a second book, i did publish another book, "Moving On" still rosekook but lesser plot twists and rollercoaster rides.
why name it I'm Breaking? - here's why i named it I'm Breaking. It's gonna sound weird, but i wrote this when i was literally breaking. those were the only 2 words in my mind. most of the scenes and chapters were filled with decision making, because during the time i was writing this, there were so many decisions i had to choose from. sometimes it was the wrong, like how Chaeyoung chose Junhoe, and sometimes it was write, like how she chose her family over work. also this book really does suit to it's name, since there's parts where you cry or get happy.
if you guys have any more questions, feel free to comment! I'll be answering!
as the second to the last question's answer says, I do have a new rosekook ff. hope you guys check it out too! it's far different from I'm Breaking, but i hope, if ever you guys read it, you guys would like it!
bwah, i don't want to say good bye to this yet but i guess i have to.
